How has everyone been? Cordelia and I have been quite busy of late, my apologies for being unavailable. Married life is, as it happens, keeps your free time rather limited, but I must say it is highly recommended! The recent contact with the city of Sanctuary has lead to some rather interesting revelations! I'd always noticed my abilities were somewhat different from that of the normal Enlightened. Once I learned the name, it all fell into place, and my eyes were able to reveal the truth. Apparently, I am Magi, as the Enlightened of Sanctuary are. It's a rather fascinating development! I still am not certain how I ended up here at all, but it would explain why nobody has recognized me before. Perhaps I managed to make it near to Union before meeting a grisly end, only to reawaken alive and bereft of memory within the Forest Shrine! At the very least it's interesting to speculate about.

In truth, I'm not convinced it's so great a thing. You've read the reports, yes?

I have. But I do know that not knowing anything about where you came from bothers you, more than you would like to admit.

It does, yes. But in some ways, I'm more concerned with what I will find if I do look.

[ Cordelia takes a few steps toward him, lacing her fingers in his. ]

If you want to, then we will go. But you don't have to force yourself. I will support you, no matter what you decide, or what you might find.

I appreciate it. I will think on the matter, I'm not certain what is next. I suspect it's best that I pursue whatever leads there are. I understand how suspicious my own background is, so if I can find answers, so much the better.

[ Cordelia nods. ]

No matter your former background, you are Robin, my husband. Nothing that we find will change my feelings for you.

Nor I you. But the mystery of my past is one I myself do not trust. Best to unravel it, when given the opportunity.

[ Cordelia frowns. ]

Do you truly believe you will find some deep, dark past there?

Contemplating my past gives me a queer, uneasy feeling. I suspect there are things there that neither you nor I will much care for.

[ She squeezes his hand. ]

Then we'll not dwell on the past.

How go Rin's studies? She seems quite sharp.

Frightfully well. She's exceptionally talented, and very powerful.

You aren't having difficulties, are you? She isn't too much for you to handle, is she?

She can be a bit of a handful, to be sure. She's quite willful. Used to getting her way, I think.

It might be good to add a bit of physical activity to her current curriculum.

[ He should know that look by now. It's the one she gets when helping with his Eevees' training. ]

For some reason I don't think she'd go for that.

It doesn't exactly seem like something she'd want to do. And would have quite the time convincing her otherwise.

I think I may have an better time figuring out what a young girl wants to do than you might think.

I have no doubt in your ability. I just know my own ability to make her do anything she doesn't wish is lacking.

Let me try to help, then. I took care of my cousins when they were that age, and helped tutor Luke while he was sick. I know a few things about reining children in.

[ It's like reigning in naughty pokemon, theoretically! Show them who's boss, don't let them walk all over you, etc. etc. ]
