How has everyone been? Cordelia and I have been quite busy of late, my apologies for being unavailable. Married life is, as it happens, keeps your free time rather limited, but I must say it is highly recommended! The recent contact with the city of Sanctuary has lead to some rather interesting revelations! I'd always noticed my abilities were somewhat different from that of the normal Enlightened. Once I learned the name, it all fell into place, and my eyes were able to reveal the truth. Apparently, I am Magi, as the Enlightened of Sanctuary are. It's a rather fascinating development! I still am not certain how I ended up here at all, but it would explain why nobody has recognized me before. Perhaps I managed to make it near to Union before meeting a grisly end, only to reawaken alive and bereft of memory within the Forest Shrine! At the very least it's interesting to speculate about.

Oh, I don't know. I suspect it depends on the magus.

Look, I don't know what happened to you and I don't know if you'll ever find out, but some things are better not knowin'. Anyways, congratulations and all that celebratory stuff. I don't know how you found out, but good work. It's not everyday a city on lock-down for several decades discovers it's lost one of its charges...

It's quite simple, really, my eyes allow me to see people's abilities quite clearly. All it took was learning the name. As to things best unknown, I unfortunately can't agree with that. Knowing is necessary to be prepared for challenges to come.

Oh, that argument... "Knowledge is power". They say it all the time in Sanctuary. It's an unspoken rule. Practically a way of life.

I reckon, there's some things not worth knowing. Like, where does magic come from? Or, why is it that whenever good things happen, bad things have to happen immediately after?

An' of course there's the famous, "what happens after you die?" I'm more than happy to leave that one to the professionals. Can't say it's something I care to know. At least, not anything soon.

In my eyes, this knowledge isn't for power, but for safety. I need to know there aren't dangers to myself and my family, and the lack of knowledge hinders my ability to properly prepare, should it come to it.
