[Well. This feed opens up to a somewhat familiar member of the Hikawa shrine. Eiji, who does look a little different than before; it seems he hit his final evolution sometime in the last week or so. His already prominent purple scales are a bit more numerous around his face and it looks like there's a constant puff of fog from his mouth every time he speaks or takes a breath.]

[He's anything but serene or graceful when he addresses the feed. If anything he looks a little uncertain but he tries to get it together. He tips his head in greeting.]

Good morning, everyone! I'm sorry for the interruption but ah- My name is Eiji Hino and I wanted to let everyone who didn't already know that Miss Nozomi Toujou left for a spiritual retreat with Eli Ayase and I will be the one looking after Etteilla until she returns.

[He dips his head further down.]

I plan to do my best for the shop until she comes back so please come and visit us in the Ninetales Vale. I'm afraid I'm not much of a fortune teller, but we have a number of charms and books that may suit your spiritual needs!

[Action: Around the shop.]

[Come visit! Eiji is doing his best to run around and take care of things. He just went from a part-timer to management so he's trying to get himself in order. A few of his pokemon are also roaming the shop trying to be 'helpful'. Eclair the Pumpkaboo is just kind of spooking people while his Skitty lays on the floor by a window soaking up sun.]

[Hina, his Talonflame is perched up high at least chirping when a customer comes in so Eiji can attend to them. Otherwise he's trying to make sure the shelves are nice and organized. He's going to make sure Nozomi didn't regret putting him in charge!!]

[Either way, when she chirps, he turns and offers a warm smile and a bow.]

Hello! How can I help you?

[Action 2: Around the shrine.]

[Its not really a secret that Eiji evolved during Day of Fire. His presence is about three times more pronounced than it was before. His scales which were smattered all over him before have taken up most of his skin. In addition to the wings he gained several months ago he now has a long, dragon-like tail which is twitching back and forth as he seems to be concentrating on something. His eyes were a bright, icy blue that seemed to almost glow and from his mouth was a constant puff of fog. The air around him is also a tad colder than it aught to be normally.]

[He holds his hands up and in a swift motion a formation of ice follows the movement until it's several feet high.]

[He stands back kind of staring at it in disbelief before smiling lightly and holding his hands up again to try and get it to go away again.]

"Spiritual retreat". Is that what they're calling it these days?

[HASTILY shutting off the feed thank you he's bright fucking red where his scales aren't.]

Yes! Yes, that is exactly what they are calling it!

[He enjoys that reaction. You are so easy to fluster. He's going to nudge you to a chair of some kind and then force you to sit by more or less sitting on you, don't mind him.]

So you're taking over this place? I guess that means I'll be here more often, too.

[Which is his way of offering to help.]

I'm not- [Oof. Okay. Sitting.]

I'm not taking over, I'm just watching it until Nozomi comes back.

[Pause.]

But that doesn't have to stop you from coming in as much as you'd like.

[Comfy lizard. He folds himself neatly to sit in his lap, nodding.]

Never has. I can keep an eye on the place when you're busy, or something.

[Yeah, okay you make yourself comfortable. He is just going to. Try and pretend like he's not still bright fucking red.]

I wouldn't have a problem with that if it's what you wanted.

It might be interesting.

[He's folded with his knees drawn up, and his hands settle over the tops of them, chin resting there. He glances sidelong at Eiji, and then out at the rest of the store.]

You're still red.

It's warm. It's summer you know.

[Shut up.]

[He turns back to him, an eyebrow quirked, and grins.]

Really? That's your excuse?

It's not an excuse its true!

And obviously it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm sitting on you.

[A nod.]

I completely believe that.

It's not like you sitting on me is doing anything to keep me from getting warm.

[So many feathers.]

It's not like your face would flush that badly from someone that weighs a third of your body weight sitting on you when you were fine before.

[He knows he has you, stop trying to ineffectively evade being caught.]

[It hadn't been a surprise that he'd evolved, no, but the chill around him lessening was a sure sign that someone else was coming closer. It was a massive change on his part, and one of those odd things that made Rei wonder just what it was about Enlightenment that changed appearances so drastically. Especially in him, as opposed to her.]

Feeling more yourself now?

[It was an interesting contrast, between them. He didn't think anyone else in their family had changed quite so much physically, either, but he was always kind of an outlier when it came to his family.]

[He pauses and looks over at Rei, feeling her get close. He smiles a bit and nods.]

I guess that's a way to put it.

[He glances at the ice formation.]

My powers have never come quite this naturally before.

No they haven't.

[She reaches out a hand and melts an imprint into it.]

Can you freeze over what I just did? Do you have that much control?

[Consider this a test. She...conversely, has never had much trouble with her talents. At all.]

[Eiji probably wouldn't have had any problems with his abilities if he didn't have a habit of holding himself back. These days ...he's had less issues with that part of himself.]

[He looks at the imprint and holds a hand out towards it, closing his eyes. It takes a moment but he's able to do as she says.]

[He opens his eyes again and grins.]

[Rei beams at him, a hand squeezing his shoulder.]

That's wonderful! Can you project it? Like ... I don't know, a beam or a ray?

Ah...

[That was a good question. Something like an Ice Beam shouldn't be too hard. He steps away from the large chunk of ice he's made in the courtyard and looks around.]

What should I try to aim for?

[Rei gestures and a ball of flame floats in the air a good ten yards away.]

Cover that in ice.

[Ah, okay. That should be easy enough. He narrows his eyes and nods.]

[He takes a deep breath, holding a hand up and...]

[That sure is an Ice Beam that hits that ball of flame. It ...doesn't cover the flame in ice it actually just keeps going and hits one of the shrine's decorations. He jolts, withdrawing his hand.]

Ah!

Try again. Focus, Eiji. Don't be afraid of it.

[The ball dances in a circle, shifting and scintillating]

[It looks like it was still going to be tricky. He's determined to get it under control, though. He frowns, holding his hand out again.]

[This time he seems a little more calm. His breathe fogs over, his eyes take on an icy blue quality and he tries again.]

[And manages to get it! His eyes widen in disbelief.]

[She smiles, willing the fire to vanish. That leaves behind his own ice-crystal, which she catches with telekinetic force and floats over to him.]

Now, keep that from melting in the heat. Until, say...tomorrow. Let's see how cold you can make it.
