And several angry Pokémon. They have trapped Martin (with the exception of Brigadier, who is holding the Band) so that the sign Tiria wrote and pinned to his shirt can be read.

Martin, meanwhile, is just so done.]

I have a death wish and tried to stay behind with the Savior in the past and probably die.

Again.

This is the second time I've tried to died since coming back to life.

My Pokémon are not happy.

Am I sufficiently shamed, Boar?

[The Doublade hisses and Brig shuts the Band off.]

[Martin smiles, trying not to chuckle because oh Basil. Oh Basil you silly Lopunny. Martin's team swarms him to congratulate him, chirping and chittering and cheering.]

He looks wonderful. I don't know how long that jacket will stay in that condition though, the way he bounces.

[iamthatis]

It's actually made from some pretty durable stuff, it was designed for travel so I'm sure he'll be fine.

[And doesn't Basil just look so proud? He's just taking in all those congratulations and holding on to the lapel of his jacket, telling everyone all about how he'd helped Matthias get through his forest adventure to spread Methuselah's ashes and how their teamwork had finally reached a whole new level. He wasn't just proud of himself, he was proud that he had such a stalwart partner to watch his back as well and he is going to brag about Matthias so hard to anyone who'll listen.

Good thing the young man couldn't understand Pokelanguage, or he'd be bright red right now.]

[Martin can and that does make him laugh a little. He's not going to tell Matthias, though, as that'll just embarrass the poor boy]

Good. I was thinking we could leave later this week? I need to get more potions.

[iamthatis]

That sounds like a good idea to me. I'll make sure to stock up on food and the like as well, it won't do to just eat dried rations the whole time we're gone.

[They could of course, but...it just wasn't the same as good old fashioned cooking.]

I am unfortunately spoiled by your cooking. Dried rations might poison me.

[iamthatis]

If you continue to joke like that, Tiria might make another sign for you.

[Like..no, really, she probably would if given half the chance.]

...you're right. I don't want to give her any more ideas.

[iamthatis]

I'll give her a better one then, let everyone know I'm going to start making dinner.

[Because clearly the best way to distract this group was with food.]

Tonight is cream of mushroom with chestnuts by the way, I got some fresh while I was on my errand.

Some day, Matthias, you are going to make someone a very happy spouse.

[There was a small jerk in his shoulders at the comment, but it didn't quite stop him from moving. Because if he didn't turn around, Martin totally couldn't see how red he'd managed to turn.]

[Totally no way Martin could know how embarrassed he was. Not even a little. Eyuuuup.]

Your cooking! The most popular person in the room is the good cook.

Y-you think? I'm not so sure...I've been so focused on...well, everything else that...

[He has absolutely no idea how to approach people properly and has even less of an idea how he would even start a proper relationship, let alone, you know, function in one.]

...I'm not...so good with people.

I think that may be an understatement...

[Maybe even a contender for that understatement of the year he'd just set.]

...I tend to understate things, yes. But shyness is something you can overcome.

[iamthatis]

Well...I'm not so sure but...I can at least try?

[Because how could this possibly go wrong, right?]

[Because why would Martin lie to him? If anyone in this world could help him, it was Martin the Warrior.]
