Another time, another place...
As you descend into the newly formed tunnels, a strange feeling surrounds you. Driving deeper, a strange green light encircles you, pushing you unconsciously deeper and deeper into the swirling mists. There’s a power here, ancient and unfathomable. And then, light. But when you emerge, things have suddenly changed.
Any vestige of your Enlightened powers are gone. Your clothes are different, your equipment is different, even your Warp Band is gone! Any changes the process may have brought upon your body is also gone, you are now, fully and truly human. In its place, strapped securely to your belt, are a collection of red-and-white balls. You know instinctively what these are. The heretical tools of the lost age. Pokeballs…
[OOC Notes: ALL Enlightened powers, form changes, and other associated abilities will be gone for the duration of this log. Shifters may choose either to enter as a human, retaining their Pokemon team, or as a speech-capable Pokemon, although speaking in front of other humans may cause alarm and suspicion. Any Enhanced equipment is also altered, it is now entirely technological and may appear quite advanced. Unless specified in the intro log, your clothes will likely be reflective of more modern US attire or army combat gear, depending on the situation.
As always, we will be progressing the log at least once every 24 hours to keep things moving. If you have any further questions, please ask here.
When making your first comment in a thread, please list your character's Pokémon team.]

Cotton, Usato, Hime, and Menma all continue to stare at their Trainer, calling out to her in words she can't understand, but she knows they want her to run. She wants to run, but she has to do this. Only Ganymede seems to understand and stays on his perch of her shoulder, claws digging into her skin through the strange clothing.

Her own tongue feels heavy in her mouth, the girl reaches down and gently nudges the Pokemon aside, sets down Stella and Sally so they can be moved behind her. "Baldwin," she addresses the Golett. "Please look after Sally and Stella. Hades, Ariel--" she addresses the Houndour and Luxio, whining and yowling in distress. "Get everyone behind me."
At this point in time, the gods couldn't care less about the safety of other Pokemon. Several Pokemon died in the war as well, she doesn't intend for hers to be among those statistics. "We are not going to fight you! This isn't our battle and we want no part of it!"
This is foolish. She'll be among those that disappeared into the wilderness at any second.

Still they stand against me. What have you DONE humans!?

"Nothing, great one, save give them the respect they deserve. They are my friends. They are my partners, and without their guidance and protection I am little more than a child. I know this. And so do they. I love them, as they love me."
The Arcanine steps forward, holding his head up proudly while the Charizard curls his tail around Rei protectively, long neck craning over her shoulder to stare defiantly at the massive hound. Try and hurt his human, and he will make you regret it, god or no.
"Please, do not think we're here to fight you, none of us wish that."

Ami had to wiggle out of Socrates tail while her Noctowl, Minerva flew above, letting out a long cry and ready to swoop down and get them out of there if need be.
"Please, we speak the truth! We don't wish to hurt you or any pokemon. We love them, each of them, and I speak wholeheartedly when I say I would lay down my life to keep them safe as they are willing to do now. Please, great one, see reason, see through your anger. There is a war here, but we've no desire to be on the side willing to harm you or the pokemon!" She tried to express her earnestness though she wished for Usagi at that moment, knowing that the younger girl had a way of convincing people in a way that logic just couldn't.

She's so small compared to everyone else around her, small and weak, her Pokemon don't exactly cut an imposing picture either. But still they stand upright against the god, still they--one by one--lean or grasp onto their trainer's legs and glare. The message is clear, no human or Pokemon among intends to abandon one another to a grisly fate.
"You're hurt, right? Betrayed and angry...I know how you feel, it's horrible to have someone you trusted betray you. It's one of the worst things that can happen to you and repairing that trust is hard. Despite that...it doesn't have to be that way, when you really reach out you'll find loads of people that you can trust! I would know...I think lots of people and Pokemon would know."
It's these impassioned sort of speeches that her mother would always give to her in her lessons, before she left. Maka's hoping she did them justice.

The Bayleef, usually so sweet and kind, looks angry and fierce. He looks ready to yell, until the Leafeon bites him.
"Cotton was my only friend when my parents died. I would never subject her to horrible things like those Pokéballs or fighting against her will. She and the rest of them are my family. I...I could never hurt them." She swallows down the sudden lump in her throat before continuing on, grabbing both Ami and Rei's hands without thinking. "We don't want to fight anyone. That's not why we're here."

Ah. I understand. The Wayfarer is meddling. You should not be here, little humans, although it is good to know that amends will be made. Go, now, return to your own time. What is to transpire here is necessary. Know though, that I will remember this, and that we will meet again.
Entei roars and glittering flame engulfs the party. It sparkles and shimmers around them and they feel a sudden lurch before finding themselves back in the cave they had entered, once again in their own time and once again with their Warp Bands and their powers. Any Pokemon brought onto the field are there too, of course.

Olympus' arms casually reach and pick her up, setting her onto Casius back, and she droops bonelessly onto the Arcanine's back. Phobos alights next to her, and Deimos hugs tightly to her trainer's hand. But it's Sabaeus that surprises her, casually sliding up into her shadow as always, his eyes looking down with obvious concern.
"I'm sorry, everyone. For...those Pokeballs. You shouldn't have had to deal with that. And you never, ever will again. I don't care who tries to put you in one..."

Aurora discharged her electricity into the ground so as not to hurt anyone while she putted her head up against Ami's shoulder. All her pokemon gathered around Ami and she made an ice visor over her eyes to buffer everything.
"I'm alright, I'm alright," she assured. "How about all of you?" she asked gently stroking all their sides. She took a deep breath. "Rei, Makoto-chan, Maka-chan, Meleka-san, are you all alright? Is anyone in need of attention?"

All of her Pokémon watch in fear, except Cotton, who moves closer to try and dissipate some of the stray lightning in the enclosed space.
"NO! STAY BACK!"
no subject
No, never mind, she shakes herself out of her thoughts, pulls all of her Pokemon into a hug--checking them over to be sure no one got hurt, relieved that she's able to hear their voices again. Thank goodness.
I will remember this. We will meet again.
Who's the Wayfarer? What was the objective of sending them all there? When will they next make contact with the gods?
Well. Maka could obsess on this for a long time, but there's no time for that at the moment, it's time to live in the present. Namely, the others around her--she opens her mouth to answer Ami that, yes, everyone's fine, but the burst of electricity instead causes her jaw to go slack.
"Wh-what's happening, is she okay?!" Ask a stupid question, Maka, of course Makoto isn't okay.

They were back. Who is a Wayfarer. She either way turned to her pokémon, and hugged Sneak first. Lurks was next, putting his frog arms around them both. The others came up closest, Dokudoku cape fluttering too. But--
Then there were sparks.
"Yeah, what's that?"
no subject
"She's evolving," was her breathless reply. "Give her some space, until the storm quiets."
Then, to Makoto. "Don't worry, Mako-chan. We're here for you."
no subject
"Makoto-chan, Makoto-chan it's alright. We're here. We're going to stay by your side this whole time."
no subject
"N-no. I can't control it. Stay back."
She knows it's dumb to push Ami and Rei away, but she really doesn't want to hurt either of them. It feels like every nerve in her body is on fire and she can't imagine how much worse it would feel if they got caught up in it too.
