[For the last three weeks, Estelle Bright hasn't been seen much. Sure, she's answered by the communicators in her Warp Band, sometimes. But she was out on a mission.]

[It maybe hasn't gone so well, because she appears abruptly; she's covered in mud. A few tufts of grass stick out from her hair, and she's more mud and dirt than Calderan Enlightened at the moment. She tries to wipe some of it off her face.]

[It doesn't work.]

Public service announcement, people! The wetlands are more like the MUDLANDS. Thanks and goodnight!

[An exasperated sigh later:] I need like fifty million showers.

I didn't try so much as accidentally kind of ended up swimming?

The swimming didn't work out so hot.

[Chie knows the importance of a good pair of athletic shoes, and also Estelle's love for them - it's one she shares herself.]

[She sighs. For once... she looks a little bummed.]

I might have to hold a funeral, Chie.

[This really makes Chie feel kind of guilty that she just got a brand new pair of the most expensive athletic cross-trainers on the market from her now-ex-girlfriend as a Salvation present. But she still feels for Estelle and her loss.]

Yeah... Maybe it's time to get some new ones, huh?

[Which means a trip to Caldera. Or seeing if Kanji or Feliks ever made any progress in the shoe front.]

Maybe the newest ones will be even better! You never know. They might have some kind of super cushioning or something.

Couldn't they be wet without mud?

I was exploring. You know, Seeker-y things. Looking for the secrets of the past. Maybe ruins.

[She sighs melodramatically.]

Nope. Just mud.

Yeah! I'm from Caldera, and when they opened a Union branch... I came over, too. But I'm still pretty new at it.

Sounds like you got into trouble.

[He doesn't know whether to look sympathetic or amused here...]

[Estelle reddens and laughs nervously, before she shakes her head.]

I-I mean... what if there's something important there? Or something I'm really looking for?

...And what are you looking for that can only be found in a ton of mud?

Ruins? Or... I don't know, maybe something really cool, like a piece of history or technology from a long time ago! Or a really awesome new staff!
