First Stone - Video
[Good afternoon/evening, Union. This is Belbul. Belbul is a Carbink, and she has a Problem.
The Problem would be the (obviously foreign) boy sleeping on the bed next to her. They're in a low-end inn on the edge of Union and she is frankly worried. She pans the band out to the window, where the sign for the inn can be seen, back to the boy, and then she adds, very loudly:]
CARBINNNN!
[Translation?
"THORIN!"
Her cry wakes the boy up, who flails and looks around]
Belbul? Where's the fi--oh, hey, you got it to work! [He takes the band, yawning] Is this thing on?

[Eventually, Kili finds his uncle's forge. Bouncing with excitement, he knocks on the door]

Thorin's chiding voice is not far behind though.]
Adlan, what have I told you about threatening visitors.
[The pokemon relents and floats ruefully (?) back inside as Thorin pulls the door open properly.]

When Thorin comes out, she trills happily and bumps his head before Kili basically throws himself at his uncle]
Surprise?

It is. And a good one.

I've letters. And Mother sent you a care package.

Of course she did. Did you travel safely?

Found some people heading this way, so I got a ride with them as far as the forest. We were safe.

[Disentangling from nephew now? Maybe?]

I'm not an idiot. By the way, what's this about a library?

An overeager librarian alarmed by the smell of smoke.
[The whole workshop smells like metal and smoke. It's a little hard to shake.]

[Seriously]
What did they expect, you to smell like fish?

Either that or flowers. But you'd have to ask him.

[Kili looks around, admiring what he can see]
It's nice, the forge. I didn't think Union would have any place like this.

It doesn't compare to home, but it's something. Come on, you can look at everything tomorrow.
[He makes for the back of the shop. Upstairs for the actual apartment, yes?]

How'd you meet your Honedge?
action
[But that's obviously not the case. He waits until Kili's got his bags before he starts up the stairs. Fussy Honedge is fussy - he hovers nearby and will probably try to pick up something of Kili's to help carry it, by way of apology.]
We've got a guest upstairs. I know him from home, and he just arrived yesterday.
action
[Oh fine. Kili hands the Honedge a bag to make him feel better]

[The Honedge struggles to float at all with the additional weight of the bag. You tried, Adlan.]
Well, there's enough room for now, at least until your brother arrives.
[Which can obviously only be a matter of time.]

Fee and I can just share a room. Not like either of us snores.

You'd have to share a bed as well, or one of you sleeps on the floor.
[As Kili will see, there aren't that many rooms up here. The one Thorin heads for is the living room that also has a kitchen area. There's a comfortable couch with a blanket and pillow set aside for his nephew. If you'd called, you would have the guest room.
The whole place doesn't seem like Thorin's settled in much. It's clean and in good shape, but there's little personal about it.]

Meanwhile Belbul and Aldan are chatting and making amends. Mostly.
Kili looks around, thinking that it's a good thing Mother sent a care package with Calderan blankets and decor. This place is drab]
Looks nice! Bit small, though--in general, I mean.

The place is drab, but it can't be home, and so Thorin hasn't tried to make it look like it.]
So I should have expected you to move in with me from the beginning?
