[ It's a rare occasion that Nozomi makes a transmission from her apartment, let alone her bedroom. Very little of it is seen, save for her headboard and a few ruffly pillows, which she uses to prop herself up. Her expression is a bit hazy, as she tries to resume her usual smile, although today it feels a bit dim. She is dressed in pajamas, although she has a blanket covering herself from the chest up. ]
Hi everyone. I hope everybody made it back okay. Things got pretty scary back there, but at least we got a bit of a happy ending, right?
I wanted to let everyone know that Etteilla will be running on shorter hours for a few days. I won't be able to do any readings this week, either. Sorry about that. [ She gives the camera an apologetic smile. She really does feel bad about this. ]
Hopefully things will go back to normal after this. I think we can all use a little rest.
[ACTION]
[ Anyone visiting Ninetales Vale or Etteilla might notice that the shop feels a little empty. Coeus and Mithra can be found taking turns running the shop, and the back room, which was normally reserved for fortune telling, is dark. The owner is strangely absent.
The events of last week took a toll on Nozomi and, after forcing herself perhaps a bit too much, she is nursing more than a bit of a headache. While she will likely be using this time to rest, she is also far too nice to send visitors and well-wishers away. ]

You're allowed to come in, you know.
[action]
[She slips through the wall, setting herself down on the floor and dusting off her hakama. From there she turns to smile at her cousin, less-infallibly-happy though that smile may seem.]
How are you doing?
[action]
You don't have to sit on the floor, you know.
I'm doing okay. It's a little lonely around here, though, with Ericchi out of town and Mithra and Coeus working the shop.
[ Lakshmi, who was asleep in her cat bed off in the corner, looks up. She would be offended that Nozomi forgot about her snoozing there, but she didn't care too terribly much, and instead opted to go back to sleep. ]
[action]
[Getting up from where she'd sat, she strode to Nozomi's side and sat down instead.]
The manor's a little quieter for now, too. I'll keep you company instead.
[For as long as Nozomi's okay with, at least, but that's unspoken.]
[action]
[action]
[Insistently, as she shoves Nozomi's shoulder, despite her smirk.]
Don't be such a stranger.
[action]
[action]
[She's not pouting, no.]
You've kinda got to worry more about holding yourself together after all that.
[action]
I'm all right, just tired. My head still hurts a little, but it's getting better.
[ She smiles a little. ]
It looks like things worked out. I'm glad.
[action]
Yeah... I'm glad too.
[Maya sighs.]
Even if people got hurt... I'm just glad everyone's... y'know. Still here.
[action]
[ Why did it sound like she wasn't so sure? ]
You're right. I'm sure everybody's fine. I heard it was a big success, after all.
Re: [action]
Yeah. And all of the people we were looking for got out as best they could, too, I heard. I just... I'm really glad no one got more hurt.
[She leans over to rest her cheek against Nozomi's shoulder, purposefully being obnoxious about it; if she pretends she's fine, she'll be fine, right?]
You guys worry me, you know.
[action]
Sorry. I just didn't want to see a kid like her suffer like that.
[ It hurts her to see someone like that alone and in pain. ]
[action]
[Maya affirms, shrugging a little.]
...I mean, if you hadn't done something crazy, I can't say I wouldn't have.
I just wish no one had to get hurt in the first place...
[action]
[ Nozomi hesitated for a moment before moving suddenly, wrapping her cousin up in an embrace. What if Maya had done something, if something had happened to her.
She didn't... she didn't want to lose any more of her family. Not again.
Although, from the sounds of it, it seemed like something might have happened, something Maya wasn't letting on. While she might normally pry, Nozomi kept surprisingly quiet, just holding the other girl there. If she wanted to talk, she could talk. ]
[action]
After a few moments hesitation, as though she is looking for the right words, Maya starts--]
You weren't the only one who got hurt.
Ichigo's missing again... and Fuyuhiko got... a pretty bad injury.
[action]
[ It was very rare that she would use something other than his pet name. Her eyes were wide, and she immediately hugs Maya tighter.
She admittedly didn't know Ichigo very well, but hearing the news... ]
He's going to be all right, right?
[action]
[She rubs Nozomi's back, as though reassuring Nozomi will further reassure herself.]
He's... Fine. Stupid, but fine.
Well-- no, he's not... Fine. He's... his eye got... blinded.
[action]
But good Savior, he was lucky. So lucky. ]
I see.
[ What could she say in this situation? For once, she didn't know, so simply continued to hold her cousin there. Nozomi would be ready to console her when she needed it. ]
I THOUGHT I REPLIED TO THIS thanks finals
I mean, he still talks like an ass, so I'm pretty sure he's fine.
[She laughs a little-- quiet, tired-- and shrugs again.]
He's just going to have to stay with his parents for a while. It's fine.
[More than anything else, Maya would just like to fast forward to the part where he proves he's fine-- a couple of months from now, when the worry disappates. That will be better than trying to talk through her worry.]
