[Residents near the park are treated to a frightful crash as a giant green Gogoat smashes his way through the wooden playground equipment with what appears to be a sense of childish glee. Playgrounds really were fun-- and look at all the cool stuff he could do now! Braying with delight, he lowered his head and dug his hoofs into the ground, ready to bash apart those boring old benches--]

Kamo, that's enough!

[Shaking his head to clear his mind and loosen the debris that was starting to stick in his hair, Rei Ryugazaki looked as harried as he sounded. His hyper little Skiddo had only just evolved, and it was clear to anyone watching that the young buck wasn't anywhere close to mellowing out. He rubbed the bridge of his nose with an irritated sigh, hoping that he wouldn't get too many headaches now that they had gotten through the busiest part of the winter season.]

What did I tell you before about how people don't always like to play rough? There are ways to play and not...

[...He didn't even know how to describe the mess that he saw before him, or the mess that Kamo had made of his family's yard, and of his bedroom...

This was why his parents didn't want him to bring Kamo over to the house anymore, among other things. Rei suspected that eating the Salvation day dinner before it even made it to the table had something to do with the decision as well.

Kamo merely regarded his trainer silently, before huffing and shaking bits of snow off his body. They had spoken, but he didn't see how it was any fun!]

...would you feel better if we went for a run? Exams are over, so--

[Rei had no time to finish the sentence. He had Kamo at 'run'.

With an excited bray as reply, Kamo darted down the path at top speed, hooves digging into the icy muck and kicking it up behind him as he dashed off.

At a loss for proper reply, Rei did what came naturally: he took off after the Gogoat, fully aware of the futility of his actions and how he would regret it later.]

Kamo! Come back!

[It's night time when Rei pops onto the feed, with his glasses askew and a panicked look in his eyes.]

Does anyone know how to catch a runaway pokemon? A big one?

[Breathing heavily, he picked a dirty leaf out of his tangled hair and made to wipe the dirt off his face. He only smeared it.]

He's pretty exciteable..and he likes to knock heads to say hello.

Rei had been so single mindedly focused on keeping the trail of his Gogoat that he hadn't been paying attention to anyone else around him. The Mudkip bumped into him, and sent him careeing forward into the dirt with a startled cry.

The ground was hard, cold, but at least he was wearing gloves and a wind breaker. He carefully made to sit up, looking around for the culprit.]

Oww...What was that?

[Tobi hops up onto his back, scampers up onto his head, and looks down at him.]

Mud...Kip?

Mudkip...?

[He blinked, curious about the small creature.]

Hello. What are you doing in the snow, little guy?

[Tobi yaps happily and drops down into the snow on front of Rei, nuzzling him with his horn.

Up Up! Human! You have to go up! And you have to take him with you!]

[Rei backs up and away from that horn. He picked himself up out of the dirt and brushed the sleeves of his jacket briskly, passing a curious look over the strange pokemon with disappointment in his eyes.]

Sorry, I can't play today. There's someone I need to catch.

[Then, with little warning, he quickly bobbed his head in an awkward bow.]

Maybe next time!

[With that, he took off again down the path, silently cursing his own folly. That Gogoat couldn't have gotten too far!]

[As he gets up and starts trying to run, though, he'll feel a hand on his jacket holding him back.]

Not so fast, Ryugazaki. Who do you need to catch?

Yuuna-senpai....

[Oh. He should have known that his mentor would find the strange pokemon. Not bothering to pull out of her grasp, he glanced over his shoulder with obvious embarrassment.]

The Skiddo I bonded with a while ago evolved into a Gogoat, and he's still got a lot of energy to burn off. I was trying to tell him that we could go for a run over the weekend...but, he didn't want to wait and took off without me.

[Tobi yaps happily and Yuuna lets the boy go, scooping up the troublemaker.]

And Tobi was apparently up to no good too. As for the Gogoat, you want some help?

Oh, so that's his name?

[It was a cute name for a cute pokemon, for sure.]

As for Kamo...I don't think that anything short of a bike and a well placed trap is going to help at this point. There's no way I can catch up otherwise.

Tobisaki.

[Trouble.]

[Yuuna laughs and raises her warp band.]

And I have away. Remember Sabakumi?

[The Flygon?]

[That was enough to earn a soft chuckle from the teen.]

The little guy has a such a sweet face too-- but, aren't those always the troublemakers?

...I do remember Sabakumi-san. Is that your idea?

She flies faster than anything I've ever seen. So lets go catch a gogoat, right?

[She flips her warp band and a moment later the sinuous green dragon appears, along with a Dragonite. Saba's not big enough for two, so she'll take Suzume.]

Sabakumi, I need you to help Rei find his Pokemon, alright?

[Nod-nod! goggledragon will help!]

Thank you, Sabakumi-san. Kamo-kun's gotten very hard to keep up with on foot!

[He smiled, moderately relieved. With this kind of help, they would find the playful Gogoat in no time!]

[Rei will find himself scooped up and off they go!]

What-- whoa!

[Rei yelped in surprise as he was lifted from the ground by the helpful Flygon, and he held on tightly as they took off. Wrapping his arms around the Pokemon, he inched his way forward enough to get a better look at the ground...]

With everything being so white, it shouldn't be hard to spot him from here...

Well just point him out when you see him! She's too fast for Suzume to keep up with!

[And sure enough, Flygon rapidly outpaces the dragonite...]

Ah-- right!

[Alone with the Flygon, Rei held onto her slender form as tightly as he dared to and peered down into the streets of Union, sharp on the look out for a hint of green...or, perhaps the sound of something being demolished in excitement.

...And, sure enough...

Rei lifted a hand, and pointed down in the streets below.]

There, running down that boulevard, Sabakumi-san. Do you see it?

[A very fast moving flash of green.]

[The goggled dragon nods and banks sharply, turning on a dime with her extra set of wings. The sound to everyone around them is probably deafening to everyone but Rei, who's blissfully at the edge of it.

Incoming, Rei. Let's get that Gogoat!]

[The speed, the angle, they were amazing! He yelped in surprise at the suddenness of their descent, but after that?

He was content to hold on, until they drew closer to the Gogoat.]

Kamo!

[He called out toward the other pokemon at top volume, hoping to grab it's attention as they came soaring in!]

[Flygon just keeps up the pace, easily catching up. HEY BRO CALM THE HECK DOWN!]
