This is Ensign Ichiro Ogami, formerly of the Guard. I just heard the announcement and I want to help. If anybody needs assistance in their search, please let me know and I will accompany you when I am able.

[Unfortunately, while Ogami would love to go out and find an iron mine, he has many many duties at the Union Divine Theater that are keeping him busy. Like sweeping. Oh so much sweeping. It's an off day, although visitors are still allowed in naturally and there is much cleaning to be done. Which means no adventuring for him, unfortunately]

Yes. I was assigned under a former general, but as he is managing this theater now, my duties have changed.

Well I don't know exactly how line dancing fits in with mining, but I'm sure we can figure something out.

Technically I still am. My given assignment has caused my duties to change somewhat, so I am no longer on active duty.

Crouching low to the floor, she breathed in and out, calm and collected, hand at her side. Drawing her katana, she makes a few quick swipes at the air before slowly sheathing it again and returning to her previous position.

[Standing, she's not sure if she should saluting or not, so instead she just settles with a bit of a bow.]

How are you settling in so far?

I'm... fine. Settling in fine. It's a bit different.

A bit... less structured, maybe? In the officer academy my schedule was pretty set. I'm not any less busy, but I definitely can't expect what's about to come next.

[John had been keeping an eye on the network since the announcement went up. He's not all that surprised to see Ogami speaking up. He's even less surprised to see that he's still stuck doing chores. Welp.]

[John generally would have felt pretty bad for the guy- in fact, he really does, but he knows that this guy is supposed to take his place as Captain and John wants some say in judging if he's up to it or not.]

[John had no issues stepping down, but that didn't mean he didn't care about who took his place.]

So riddle me something, dude. What do you think of this iron crisis thing?

It's definitely not good. We've never had a lot of iron to begin with, a mine would be a boon but to find one in the dead of winter is no easy feat. I would have hoped for a more generalized mobilization than this.
