[Is that Ami in a medic coat? Why yes, yes it is. Guess who is a brand new medic in Union? But the girl genius is currently being cuddled by a Lapras and smiles, trying to gently nudge the Lapras away though honestly not trying too hard.]

I hope any of the students I tutor had a wonderful Salvation day and winter holidays. We'll have to discuss new tutoring schedules as my own has become very busy of late. [Being a medic will do that.]

I also want to thank everyone who was more than willing to help me before and let you know that the distraction that I provided myself was a success in keeping me completely engaged.

I wish everyone returning to class the very best in your studies and would also like to offer my tutoring services at this time as well.

Yes. But not at the expense of sleep. Remember, getting only four hours of sleep is the equivalent to drinking six mild beers in terms of impairment.

I recommend a full night's sleep every night with a bit of studying before bed and after bed, when the mind is more receptive to information. However, I cannot be held responsible for a student not listening to sound advice. I also recommend a healthy diet, remaining away from junk food and instead keeping to simple teas and soups.

Ami. Sweetie. You know I'm just teasing you, right? I studied like that when I was in school. But not everyone is you and me. You expect a lot from pupils.

[A pause.]

And I know I've seen you with sweets.

Oh. My apologies. [She blushes a little.] I expect them to reach their full potential, I ask them to realize they can do much better than they have. That isn't asking for miracles.

Ami-chan! [Yuuna takes on a slightly more formal tone.] Don't apologize for missing the joke. Loosen up, I'm just trying to remind you to go easy on the newbies.

[She snorts a little laugh.]

And good. Because I hear from the other Medics that I need to take you out for your favorites sometime in the near future.

Oh ah... yes, senpai. [It's small steps, she's gone miles and miles from where she was, but some things will never die. She isn't agreeing to going easy, however.] As for the students who with to be tutored by me, I'm sure they'll manage whatever regiment I create. At the end of the day, the students have to want to excel.

Ah... yes, that's right! I'm a medic now.

So I heard.

[She grins. There are times when she pities you for how difficult your life is because of your genius, and times when she's a little bit jealous of the dedication you have to medicine that she found in the Rangers, but this is neither of those times.

[She blushes, deeply, and bows to the video. She pressed a hand to her cheek.]

It's a bit surreal. To think, I've achieved it... something I've been working towards for so long... and... it's here.

[Yuuna bows back, formal as she ever gets.]

I can relate, sweetie. Once I figured out what I wanted to do, it was really kind of overwhelming, when it all came together. I'm glad for you. I know you'll do great things.

I just hope my lack of experience will not cause any issues... I know only more practice and time will help...

I want to do the best I can to help pokemon and people alike.

Well, you've got the right of it. The only way to get experience is with time and practical application. That's where mine came from, anyway. If you find a way to get some quicker, let me know.

To be fair, you have a good deal more experience than I do and far more practice in the field.

Exactly. And I got that through working and training. I'm not as specialized in medicine as you are since I switched to the Historian track and then joined the Rangers, but I keep up.

Give it time, don't stress. You'll be fine, I promise. The other medics will give you all the help you need.

You could be, if you wished. You have an incredible mind and gift.

I'm a bit glad I also have my mother to rely on, though I don't want to be a nuisance to anyone.

My mother is a wonderful medic. I can only hope to exhibit the same knowledge and skill she possesses. You are very skilled as well, Yuuna-san. Although, I suppose I should call you Yuuna-senpai, again.

Senpai makes me feel so old and wrinkly, especially with you a full fledged medic. Why don't you just call me Yuuna, huh?

You are neither wrinkly, nor old. [She pauses at the "just Yuuna" statement. She presses her lips together.]

Just Yuuna. Sweetie, you're my peer. You're out of school. You've achieved your dream job. I just wanted you to know that I'm proud of you.

[Her smile widens a bit when she sees how embarrassed Ami is.]

You can call me Yuuna-san or Yuuna-senpai if it makes you more comfortable. But if the traditional honorifics mean that much to you, please, keep it up. I don't want to make you feel weird, y'know? But you don't have to. That's what I meant by it.

I understood what you meant. I suspect more use will allow for greater ease as things go on.

Growing up faster than you, I'm not sure I understand? If you mean the track, all I was good at was studying, it merely allowed me to excel through studies faster, is all.

How old are you? That’s what I mean. I’m twenty two, and I’m only just finding a job that suits me. You? You’ve been responsible and ready to go to work since you were twelve.

That's because you are much better at all sorts other things and not just studying. I have been ready because there's not much else I can do. [Although, being a child prodigy helps.]

Sweetie, if you applied that brain of yours to just about anything, you'd be capable of just as much. Bodies can become strong, a mind like yours? That's a gift.
