Sleepover at Maki's! μ's Is Finally Formed!

What: A SLEEPOVER OF GIRLY PROPORTIONS.

Where: Maki's House!
Summary: After getting the idea to have a get together at Maki's due to a fib that was told to her by a certain red haired girl who scares her, everyone's been invited over to spend the day at Maki's. And then spend the night doing all sorts of fun stuff.

After semi-careful planning with Maki, which honestly wasn't so careful if Maki hadn't been the one to keep Honoka's ideas in line, arrangements were made at the Nishikino household to keep nine girls entertained. With the knowledge now of knowing that a performance was headed their way, some practice was in need for the girls. Umi would see to that, no matter how much some of them might protest that they would rather be doing something a little more fun. But, the girls worked hard.

Their reward would come later in the day, when they could stuff themselves with as much custom made homecooked pizza as they wanted. In addition to all the other activities planned for the night. A sappy romance movie, an impromptu pokémon contest (who's is the cutest, the best performer, the strongest?), an epic game of hide and seek, choosing where to sleep, and once that was finished? The pillow fight afterward would become a fluffy struggle to survive.

Honoka made sure to invite everyone, whether she personally asked them herself or had someone else extend the invite for her.

But...what would they be named?

[This time, Hanayo and Kururin will be performing a duet. And since they're pretty close up this time and the choreography involves a lot of spinning, Hanayo takes her glasses off before the song starts. And with a lot of Teeter Dance, Quiver Dance, and Petal Dance action from Lilligant, who is the real star of this show, Hanayo sings Nawatobi. She's focused mainly on the singing, but matches Kururin's dance moves each step of the way as well. They're just not as fancy since she can't supplement them with Pokemon moves.]

[It's not the kind of song Nico would ever do, but she admits it really fits Hanayo. She's pretty happy watching her, but Eru, her whimsicott has other plans... like cotton sporing the heck out of them. She blames the teeter dance!

Nico, of course, is horrified]

H, hey, Eru, you can't do that!

[Sorry Hanayo, welcome to cotton hell]

[Well, that's one way to end a song prematurely. Hanayo coughs and sputters through the cloud of fluff. Kururin is a Grass type, so it's not quite as surprised or fazed by this, but she does start spinning even faster and waving around a random piece of paper she pulled out from under her leaves.]

Omigawd, I'm soooo sorry!

[Eru clearly isn't, as evidenced by the fairy laughing as it continues to produce cotton, even as Nico tries to grab the pokemon and pull it away.]

You can't interrupt someone else's performance that's not how contests work, Eru!

[Hanayo finishes coughing and starts pulling cotton off her clothes and out of her hair, waving a hand as Kururin keeps spinning like mad.]

I-it's okay...

Geez, let me help you with that...

[She goes over to help pick cotton off... and sending a glare back at Eru, who seems unrepentant.]

Sorry about her... sometimes she just won't listen!

...Do you want to use a different Pokemon this time?

[nicocism]

Yeah, I might have to... [She turns to Eru, activating her warp band] Honestly, there's a time and place for things like that, but a contest isn't one of them!

[The pokemon just pouts even as it's sent back to the habitat and Nico thinks about who to send for instead]

Um, and you can finish your dance! Or start over? Whichever you want!

[She's so embarrassed her pokemon ruined it]

Um...

[Hanayo glances over at Kururin, still spinning around and chanting anti-bad-luck prayers she made up herself.]

...You can go ahead. It might be a little while before she calms down.

[nicocism]

Hmm, okay then...

[Weird pokemon but she's not really in a position to say that. After a bit of debating, she ends up warping over Ruri, her Marill]

Okay, Ruri, just like we've practiced, all right?

[Hanayo smiles, sitting down next to where Kururin is spinning, reaching out slowly to try to stop her so they can both watch.]

[Nico and Ruri get into position - with Nico having to whisper a little to get her Marill to perfect its pose - and then start! Of course it's the kind of dance where Nico's central as she sings, and Ruri is dancing around her, using her bubbles and Aqua Ring to add special effects to their dancing. Anyone who knows the Marill can tell how much they've practiced it since she almost completely avoids distraction throughout the whole thing, though she does end up waving enthusiastically at the girls watching a couple times. Nico doesn't seem to mind, as she's too busy with all her cute choreography]

[Hanayo doesn't seem to mind, and waves right back at Ruri as she dances around. And once they're done, she springs to her feet, clapping enthusiastically.]

Nico, that was great! You both looked so cute!

[nicocism]

[Nico looks pretty pumped and pretty proud by the time she finishes. Having them clap for her, and her pokemon, feels really good. She smiles down at Ruri, who is overjoyed at the reception they're getting. It even takes a few seconds for her ego to kick in.]

O, of course! Ruri really nailed it this time!

[Okay, no, still super proud of how well her pokemon did]

I could really tell how much you both practiced it.

[It even got Kururin to calm down, stop spinning, and listen.]

Hm, well, you can't win these kinds of things without practicing first!

Kururin and I will keep trying hard too!

Good! And... sorry about interrupting your performance before. I guess Eru is just more mischievous than even I expected...

It's okay. I'm used to it.

From... your other pokemon?

[Being used to being interrupted is not something Nico thinks she can ever approve of.]

Mostly by other people.

That's terrible! You shouldn't let anyone interrupt you when it's your turn!

[Even if Nico is probably guilty of this. She just really believes in taking all the attention you can get and not letting anyone else steal it]

It's because I'm so quiet... that's why I wanted to become an idol. I want to change myself and be more confident.

[nicocism]

That almost seems kind of backwards... [Nico went for Idolhood because of her confidence...]

Hmm, well... I mean, it's true - if you can stand confidently on stage, then normal life will be a piece of cake!
