W-W-Wait!! Not so fast! Slow down! I-I'm gonna fall off!

[ It's a little hard to see given the up and down motion, but it's pretty clear Maki is not on her own two feet. Instead, she's riding the green-back of a Skiddo, her first Pokemon that she actually bonded with on her own that wasn't from an egg. She somehow got convinced to let him take her for a ride, but she had no idea just how intense it would be for a girl who was more used to proper tea parties and fancy ballroom dances. ]

L-Look out! I can't stop--!!

[ And so the video cuts off as Maki and her Skiddo suddenly find themselves crashing into a cart full of fruit, breaking apart the wooden cart with a deafening crack! ]

[ Maki and her Skiddo are going to be crashing around the city, a cat atop of a goat. She's trying to get a hang of riding one, but it's not going well. Her Skiddo prefers to charge at things in his path, rather than go around. Because apparently that's no fun.

At the same time she has a reason for being out on her Skiddo, planning on trying to learn how to ride it so she can go see Nozomi to speak about certain...personal problems. ]

[ Obviously she does, or else she never would have mentioned it at all!! But Maki doesn't know what else to say to her, bending down to pet her Skiddo who seems confused by the angry tones the two of them throw at each other. ]

[Sorry Skiddo, she's a bit distracted to keep petting him]

Why can't you just say what you mean instead of trying to pretend like nothing is bothering you?!

[ Maki snaps a little at Nico, because she's being so impossible. That is, what she thinks is happening. She has little to no clue that Nico would actually be jealous that she is dating Chie, she thinks she's just mad about the not telling her. ]

[Unfortunately, that is exactly how Nico is rationalizing it to herself]

I've just been giving you room so I don't interrupt any other secrets you might have!

[ Like having the hots for Nico...not that she has that! ]

[ If only Maki could understand why she is mad. Despite being romantically linked with someone, she doesn't know how to see it in someone else. If it's even there or not. ]

It wasn't even that long ago! It only happened because of the dream world thing... [ Maki looks angry, but a little hurt too. ]

Did you want me to tell you how we went out to the islands together and put sunscreen on each other? Or how we like to kiss near the fire? Did you really want to know all that?!

That was a while ago! [Like, how many times has Nico been over between then and when they went out? Practically every other day?]

No, I don't want to hear any of that, I didn't need to hear any of that, but, but, but... it would have been nice to know anything about you at all!

[ It really was a while ago, and Maki's realizing that more than she had before. All those times she could have told Nico, but never did... Why didn't she? ]

That's not fair at all! You've never invited me to your house, or told me what your family is like! [ ...She's probably asked all of one time... ] There's more about you that I don't know than you don't know about me! Do you really think I care about you that little?!

So which is it!? Are you mad at me because I didn't tell you that I was dating someone...or because I was dating someone else at all!

[ Maki is mad, mad at Nico for being mad at her, mad at herself for not being able to have just told Nico, and confused all around. So when she yells back at her, she's not even really realizing that she's implying Nico may be wanting to date Maki herself. ]

You can't be mad at me for not telling you that but then telling me nothing about yourself at the same time!

I- why would I be mad about that!?

[For some reason the implication that she might be mad not because Maki didn't tell her, but because Maki was dating someone, made something in her chest really sting. And that just made her madder]

I, it's not like I'm dating anyone! You'd know if I was!

Maybe because you're just jealous!!

[ There it is. Maki doesnt really think about what she says, just that something has snapped in Nico and she doesn't know what it is. ]

I just dont know if you're jealous that I am dating someone...or because that someone isn't you!

[ There she said it. Not because she really believes it, but because it seems like it would really get under Nico's skin, seeing how Maki is twirling her hair now. ]

[The accusation is so stunning and angering to Nico that she chokes on her words for a second.]

Jealous!? Haaa, me, jealous!? Why would I be jealous? It doesn't matter to me who you date!

[Whoops she answered the question]

[ There were two options there for Nico, and she basically just said that she didn't care who Maki dated so that only leaves... ]

You seem pretty jealous to me! If you wanted to date me so badly then you should have said something!

[ Maki has no idea where she's taking this, and seeing how hot headed she's getting, her Skiddo is bumping her peg a little trying to get her to calm down. But as mad as she is, with her cat ears completely rigid as well as her swishing tail, as well as the tiny crack in her voice...its almost like she's saying she really does wish Nico had said something. ]

[Even if it was Nico's words that said it, she hadn't been even aware that's what she'd been saying. Even hearing Maki throw it back at her like that, she can't reconcile it as anything but a huge (and willful) misunderstanding on the redhead's part. There was no way, just no way...!]

A, are you delusional!? What are you even talking about?!

[So of course, the only way to set things back to normal was... to completely reject this craziness.]

[ Delusional? Was she really? Why was Nico so upset about everything? Didn't this make the most sense? But...did that even make Maki happy to say that? Or, to hear Nico so adamantly deny it? Why did none of this make sense, and why did she feel so mad still? And why...did she feel something wet on her cheeks?

Skiddo is new to Maki's side but he doesn't want her to cry. He starts to growl a little at Nico before pushing Maki away from the other girl. ]

G-Good! [ with Skiddo pushing her, and those tears coming more now she finally turns away. ]

I have things to do.

[She... didn't expect her to start crying. Even if her own eyes are tearing up a little. She's not thinking straight though, and all she can feel is a refusal to back down.]

Well, fine! Go do them! Without me!

[Basically. Yelling at this point.]

[ Maki likes Nico. She likes her singing voice. The way she shows compassion and patience for her Pokemon and Maki's too. She's onenofntje hardest workers she's ever met. And she likes when they spend time together. But this fight, she doesn't know why it hurts so much to hear those words from Nico. Does she...have feelings she's been denying herself? ]

F-Fine!

[ And so she storms off starting to cry and not knowing why. ]
