W-W-Wait!! Not so fast! Slow down! I-I'm gonna fall off!

[ It's a little hard to see given the up and down motion, but it's pretty clear Maki is not on her own two feet. Instead, she's riding the green-back of a Skiddo, her first Pokemon that she actually bonded with on her own that wasn't from an egg. She somehow got convinced to let him take her for a ride, but she had no idea just how intense it would be for a girl who was more used to proper tea parties and fancy ballroom dances. ]

L-Look out! I can't stop--!!

[ And so the video cuts off as Maki and her Skiddo suddenly find themselves crashing into a cart full of fruit, breaking apart the wooden cart with a deafening crack! ]

[ Maki and her Skiddo are going to be crashing around the city, a cat atop of a goat. She's trying to get a hang of riding one, but it's not going well. Her Skiddo prefers to charge at things in his path, rather than go around. Because apparently that's no fun.

At the same time she has a reason for being out on her Skiddo, planning on trying to learn how to ride it so she can go see Nozomi to speak about certain...personal problems. ]

No, I want to talk to you. We can talk about rides later...but first we've got to talk about you running into things and scaring Maki-chan. Can we do that?

Maki was scared?

[ He doesn't seem to get that. ]

We were having fun together!

You were going to fast for her. She is a bit easily scared. Maybe she'd have more fun if you went a little bit slower?

[cutiepanther]

Huh? But she was making so much noise! She definitely loved it!

She was afraid. She just told me. Please, don't go so fast. You don't want to scare your trainer do you?

I didn't know she was scared..

[ He looks back at Maki who seems to be busy fixing her hair, trying to calm herself. ]

I want to make Maki happy by giving her rides!

Try something slower then. A trot, not a run. Maybe that will work?

But it's more fun to go fast and crash into things!

[ He's looking back at Maki again, and then at Rei. He likes Maki a lot, seeing how he wanted to be with her, so he decides quickly enough. ]

If it's for Maki I'll go slower!

Okay Maki-chan, I think I have convinced him to go slower. Let him show you.

[ WIth that conversation over, Skiddo runs over to Maki, stopping just in time to only bump her leg a little, before looking up at her expectantly. ]

F-Fine, I'll get on again, but not crashing into things!

[ Sitting on his back again, Maki looks nervous, as expected. He crouches a little like he might start to run, but instead he just trots back over to Rei. ]

[Rei watches the display and nods approval, reaching her hand down to rub Skiddo’s head.]

Perfect. You’re a real gentleman, Skiddo. See? A little discipline and talking is all you need.

[cutiepanther]

You think so?? [ That's what he wanted to hear, and so he's going to toss his head back, looking so proud of himself. Maki is a little embarrassed by her Skiddo, but not enough to mention it. ]

I guess so... Thanks Rei. You're a big help.

[faithfulflame]

I know so. Keep it up, Skiddo

Oh course, Maki-chan. It's not a big deal. And we can't have him smashing into things, can we?

[cutiepanther]

I'd rather not have to pay every street vendor in the city to repair their carts, if I can help it.

[ She sighs a little, but pets her Skiddo anyway. She's starting to understand him more, and bond. ]

[Rei pats his head too, getting him behind the ears good.]

He'll do better. He wants to make sure you have fun. Maybe...take him outside the city and let him run wild a bit later, though? That's probably good for him.

[cutiepanther]

[ Skiddo might just be in heaven, even if he's not running around at the moment. But having people praise him is pretty great. ]

O-Outside? [ That idea is not one Maki has thought of herself. ] Isn't the Habitat fine..?

[faithfulflame]

Yes. Right around the walls, near the gates? Those big open areas where caravans stop?

[Oh right, you're afraid of the outside, aren't you?]

It's safe out there, the traffic keeps most of the wild Pokemon away.

[ She is a little afraid! But maybe with Skiddo.. ]

Ah, well, I guess that would be a good idea. Skiddo would probably like that..

He probably would.

[Rei smiles. This is clearly the first step towards becoming a trainer.]
