I. OPEN TO ANYONE AFFILIATED WITH MEMBERS OF THE CITY GUARD; co-worker (+family) bonding time.
[Bertholdt has been a member of the City Guard for about a year now. His co-workers have tried time and time again to speak with him, get to know him, most attempts have all failed but some of them have that persistent personality (whether in a positively or negatively attitude) that makes those individuals guard materiel.
One guard in piratical that stood out from the others was Mr. Eren Jaeger. Much like Bertholdt, Eren had joined around a year ago, his experience branching just a tab longer than his own for Bertholdt stretched his schooling longer than some.. They had their differences, Bertholdt was one year older than Eren and much taller, their elements differ, but one thing that was similar -- they were both shifter. Eventually, Bertholdt was going to have to talk to him.. As well as any guardsmen on his team, perhaps even their family or friends.
Normally, Bertholdt would be long gone by the time anyone could speak with him after work but today he was running a little slow..]
II. OPEN TO ALL; backdated- pre earthquake.
[It's not often, but on Bertholdt's days off he'd venture to other places outside his home in the Pokemon Habitat. Running freely amongst other wild Pokemon in areas considered dangerous to normal people, that shifter was fine. The wild Pokemon knew he wasn't the same as them but they also knew he wasn't completely human. Some accepted him, some did not. However, there was rarely conflict.
Today Bertholdt is out venturing in his Pokemon form, a shiny Cyndaquil that for anyone would surely be an amazing bond.
Wherever you find him, whether during an adventure or on his way home to the Pokemon Habitat, you will meet him in his shifter form, as a shiny Cyndaquil. As a 'Quil Bertholdt is much more scruffy than your usual one, not to mention a whole foot longer.]
( ooc: pose and actions brackets are both welcome. I have a plotting post up here if you want to work something out with me before hand. )

Oh uh. Skarmory. They're big steel birds, way bigger than most of the birds we have around here.
no subject
I know what a Skarmory is.. they are avian Pokemon made of steel. Normally very heavy with molting periods once a year, this urban area must suit you -- easy to keep everything sharp.. [BECAUSE HOW DOESN'T PERFUME THEIR POKEMON FORUM??]
no subject
[Eren nods] Yeah, I lose all my feathers once a year. [he pulls one of the swords from his hip. It's been worked by a blacksmith, so it's a little more solid, but still clearly a feather] My swords are made from them. How do you know so much anyway? You must read a lot.
no subject
HOW?? Double for someone that not only cares for Pokemon but is a shifter how could he be so ignorant to the subject?
Bertholdt, of course, says nothing about it.] Molting is common for all bird Pokemon.. That's cleaver how you're putting it to use.
Well, I-I.. being a shifter made me even closer to Pokemon than before, I wanted to learn everything about them. They are like my family..
no subject
Ha, well... It's one of the only things I was able to find about Skarmory in the books. That their feathers could be used as swords. They're apparently pretty rare! I mean, I sure haven't seen any around here. Ever.
Well... I guess my pokémon are the only family I really have. But... I don't know.

[He should just end this conversation now but-] You wont find many books on Skarmory because they are rarely talked about in avian text. Try histories of steel types and their origins, this is how I've learned of Skarmory.
Are you an orphan too? [He's not sure how to take that last part, what is there to question?]
no subject
[he nods] Well, I mean, my dad's still alive. I guess. I haven't seen him in a few years, but he sends me money. [he shrugs. He might as well be an orphan] But it's not like orphans are rare. Damn wild pokémon... they kill plenty of humans, that's for sure.
no subject
[Dads? Parents? Other human begins looking out of each other and not jealous or envious of each other's existence? Looking to see what can be profited off one another over the well being of their race? Bertholdt doesn't really know that feeling..] I suppose.. I don't know what happened to my mother but I don't think it was death of wild encounters.
no subject
[It's true, Bertholdt! Humans have families and love each other just like Pokémon. It happens.] Illness, then? Or is it just a mystery... I know... exactly what happened to my mom. [Eren snarls, showing his fangs]
no subject
[Pokemon fight for their territory, Berhtoldt wont question what happened unless the other wants to share but he can't see a pokemon killing for no reasons.] I think mine was from birthing complications..
no subject
[Eren doesn't feel like sharing, no. He blinks a few times. There's a joke to be made here about how big Bertholdt is causing the birthing complications but.... Eren's not THAT tactless] Oh well... seems like everyone's an orphan for some reason or another. Still sucks, though.
no subject
Not that Bertholdt is taking that one back..]
no subject
Well, I should probably get on home.

Nice meeting you.. [...Not really...]
