[Has Armin been ambused by an Exeggcute? No, he just has his two little Pokemon eggs -- one is his reward, the other Eren's, since he's a little more suited for parenting than his Skarmory-ish buddy -- clustered close beside him as he opens up the grainy video on the Warp Band. Mama Hen mode: activated.

He'll give the tiniest of waves, looking unsure that this whole "broadcasting" thing will even work. Besides the two eggs -- both of which appear to be wearing sweaters -- Meredith the Ralts is there, along with a new buddy, Murgatroyd the Cherubi. The cute is a little overwhelming, feel free to shield your eyes.
]

Erm. Hi. If...if anyone can hear me, of course. Ah, I was wondering if anyone had any...any tips for taking care of eggs? [A concerned look as he pats the nearest, slightly larger egg.] I...know it's best for them to stay in the Breeding Center, but...I don't...really want to leave them all alone. Without me. Alone. By themselves. Alone.

So...so any help would be most appreciated, thank you.

[action, against the walls of Union]
[Today, anyone venturing outside the walls of Union may come across an interesting sight - a woman with long, green-tinted hair slumped up against the walls.

Surely she's hurt! Injured! Exhausted or starving, having barely made it back to civilization only to collapse right against its front gates. Perhaps if care is swiftly brought, she may still be able to rec -- ]

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........

[A light snoring can be heard.]

[public video, much later on]
Well met, everyone.

[The woman appearing on the Warp Band has a mild, pleasant smile as she dips her head slightly. There is a brief flicker of the eyes to her wrist as if she's not entirely sure what she's doing.]

I have been told it would be to my advantage to introduce myself through this device. ...My name is Tiki. It's a pleasure to find myself in such a lively place, though... I see this city, too, has seen better days. Tragedy has been recently averted, I hear.

If there is aught I might be of aid with, I should be glad to lend my help. I am what you would call a Shifter.

[She dips her head again, and it might be noticed now that her hair is a bit too green and her ears too sharply pointed to be normal.]

[There's an odd sight at one of the gates into the city today.

The woman herself is odd enough. The prongs on her hat twitch every so often, as if there are ears underneath. And if there were any doubt at all she was a Shifter, that would go away the moment someone registered the Vulpix tails she sported. So yes, that's an odd sight.

The equally odd sight, however, is the small army of children she enters with. Some of them appear to be Shifters themselves, others regular humans. There's even a few Pokemon here and there. It's like watching a school come back from a field trip, except there doesn't seem to be an average age among the kids. They seem to range the gamut from very young to teenaged. Huh.]

All right, children, we're finally here! Gather round, please, and let me do a head count. Remember, we need to be on our best behavior right now. For the time being, we are only guests to this city. With any luck, they will be kind enough to admit us, so let's all hope for the best! Now come, come, let's make sure everybody's here.

...Ohhhhh, bother. Has anybody seen Elder Yakumo? [Some murmuring.] Not me, of course. Lady Yukari. When DID she wander off? *sigh* Orange, did you notice?

[The small Espurr next to her shakes her head.]

That figures. I'm sure she'll show up when she wants to. She's always been like that.

[The feed starts with a simple black and white picture, moving slowly and occasionally skipping to catch up with the action. It appears that whoever is recording is in the industrial district and is panning the camera around to see everything. The clean-up efforts are still going on, but things are, for the most part, back in order. There are voices of people haggling over scrap parts, people and Pokemon having conversations; a cacophony of sights and sounds.

After a few moments, the camera moves to a young woman's face, and even with the limited video capability, you can tell she is positively beaming right now.]

Can everyone see this? Isn't it amazing? The engineers are geniuses, I never would have thought that I could actually record what was happening right in front of me! We should try to chronicle our lives for the generations after us, so they can see how we live. The people before us had ways of leaving a mark, even if we can't fully understand it right now, and now that we can take video of the things that we see, we should take advantage of it!

I'd love to see what other people might record. What kinds of things would you like to leave for the future citizens of Union and, well, beyond?

[There's a voice behind her, gruff and imposing, and Lux turns her head.]

Sorry, I'll be right there!

Anyway, my break is over. Think about it!

[VOICE]

So. I actually managed to get some good information out of Napoleon, with some bribery. Damn stuck-up dinosaur. I told him if he told me everything he knew, I'd let him hang out in the breeding center for a while. He uh... yeah. Do I really need to explain it?

A-anyway.

It seems like some of these other humans from other settlements, whoever they are, installed the machines in the caves not too long ago. They used a "really stinky gross spray" to keep pokémon out of the way while they worked. Some sort of repellant spray, I'm sure. Then he said that horrible noise started and didn't stop until we destroyed the machine.

But here's the craziest part; he said he was a Tyrunt right up until the noise started. He said he wasn't really ready to evolve yet, but he's not complaining. I had to bribe him with a whole fancy tauros carcass to get THAT info. But I think it's worth it. Even if I'm pretty much broke now, ugh. I have half a mind to release his prissy ass back into the wild.

[ACTION; Closed to Jean and Marco]
[Another day, another dollar, as they say. Many of the Guard recruits had been moved from patrol duty to clean up and rebuilding, and Eren, Jean, and Marco are among them. It's tough work, but it certainly feels good to help people.

But Eren has other things on his mind.

... I'm going out training in the forest again this afternoon. Either of you wanna come?

[Things were winding down after the earthquake incident. Reimu was pretty glad about that and also glad that the shrine hadn't suffered any serious damage from the quakes. Her budget was strained enough as it was without having to worry about paying someone to come fix anything big, but as it was, she could mostly manage the repairs herself.

Some of her things had gotten broken though, mostly dishes and such, which would need replacing, but she could manage that.

Unfortunately, one of the other consequences of all that commotion was that Marisa had to leave early. Everyone making a fuss over them and the others who'd helped solve the incident had lead to people noticing Marisa enough that probably someone would realize she'd run away from her dad again and would try to drag her back there, so she'd left. She supposed it couldn't be helped though, and it wasn't that big of a deal or anything. At least she probably wouldn't have to deal with the guard showing up to bother them this time.

Another consequence of that commotion was that for whatever reason, one of the things they'd given to her as a reward for her help had been a pokemon egg, which she was currently carrying around in a sling, with a warmer to help protect it from the cold, as she cleaned around the outside of the shrine. Marisa had helped with the shrine repairs before leaving, but even now there were still some things that she needed to do.]

... At least things have quieted down again. [she sighed.]
