Today on BNW: Beach Surprise! Ami's Special Birthday Gift...
Who: Usagi Tsukino, Ami Mizuno, Rei Hino, Makoto Kino, Minako Aino and any party crashers that may just so happen to be near the beach *cough*The outer senshi*cough*
Where: Beachside, south of Union!
What: Wouldn't you guess, it's Ami's birthday! Usagi's taken the time to set up a birthday camp expedition to the beach with food, swimming and games to show a certain book worm how birthdays should really beaccording to her mantra.
Warnings: You've got the usual senshi shenanigans with a dash of the Body Swap event mixed in. Sounds like a hilarious episode, doesn't it?
[ Thanks to a little birdieone Rei Hino, it was up to Usagi to come up with the best birthday she could in what little time she had. And after careful consideration for who this birthday was for, Usagi could only come up with nothing but beach fun! It was still warm enough that swimming wouldn't get any of them sick, but it was cool enough that they wouldn't die of heat.
So, with friends, pokemon, food and camping gear in tow, it's time for the best birthday thatUsagi hoped would be the best birthday Ami would ever have! ]

ooc: So, since this log is pretty simple, it's only going to be separated by Friday and Saturday (for obvious reasons). Friday might have more in terms of playing around, helpingMako-chanwith the food or pokemon shenanigans but otherwise, have fun! It's not every day one turns 17 after all. ;D Also, don't be surprised if threadjacking happens? A whole bunch of teenage girls in one place.. it's only natural that everyone is in each others' business...unless you state that you don't want thread jacking. that's fine too!

[Ami was going to wonder how Haruka had remained unchanged... only to realize the situation with the pokemon in question. She went over to the older woman and, running off her current theory in mind...]
Michiru-san? [It was tentative, it wouldn't be unheard of for family to be close to pokemon within the family, but she honestly never saw Haruka around the two pokemon at all yesterday.]
no subject
[she turns at her name. Heh. Got it in one.]
I'm afraid you have the advantage of me. [that smile probably means you got it right. Also that sentence.]
no subject
Ah, I suppose that's true, you wouldn't necessarily recognize me...
[She offered a bow.]
Despite my appearance, I'm Ami. [She offers a smile but it feels strange.] It would seem you've taken on the appearance of Haruka-san. [Which makes her wonder what Haruka looks like.]
no subject
So I've been told. [it's incredibly odd to see yourself walking around, by the way.] Do you know who you look like?
[Haruka and her, Rei and her cousin. Is there a pattern to this?]
no subject
I'm afraid not. I haven't the slightest idea who this person I now look like it. I am most certainly male though. [Ami had to go into medical mode to actually look at herself undressed.]
I need to find out if this person I now look like now looks like me.
no subject
[at least she's been spared that particular brand of awkwardness. And at least you don't seem to have had trouble with clothing? Maybe?]
I suppose it would be too easy if there was a obvious pattern to it.
[she's almost absentmindedly petting her Pokemon, trying to draw some sort of conclusion from this.]
no subject
[The amount of panic she had in her tent would greatly suggest otherwise, especially when it came to a matter of under-dressings. But loose cover-ups are a savior-send.]
I will make an inquiry and see if I can't locate a pattern as well. I have never heard of this happening before. Not even the move "Skill Swap" is this intensive.
no subject
It's closer to a Ditto's "Transform," really, but I can't think of anything else that can also do that.
[moves included. She'll let a small Gust form in the palm of her hand before she dispels it with a quiet sigh.]
no subject
[She can't feel the sea, she can't hear the water the way she did before. This only confirms some things for her, or at least, it provides further evidence for her. She felt like everything was further from her, from her touch. It's disconcerting.]
Closer, certainly, but I think even Shifters would be hard pressed to find this enjoyable.
no subject
[she nods in agreement.] Hotaru certainly isn't very happy.
[how close had Hotaru been keeping that a secret anyway?
And the way Michiru is looking out towards the sea probably mirrors your own reaction. She feels half blind, even if she can listen to the breezes if she focuses.]
no subject
Hotaru-chan is a shifter?
[Ami, no, focus. Be fascinated later.]
no subject
[hah. Oops. Well. Perhaps those faint connections she had felt - and confirmed by Rei - actually mean something. It's more evident with the other Outers, but she can't deny it's there. Or was there, before this whole fiasco.]
It's part of the reason why she bonds easily with Pokemon. [as opposed to people, though Michiru has been working on that]
no subject
[Ami's never met a shifter before, or at least, not that she's aware of.]
May I ask why she wants to keep such a thing hidden?
no subject
I would assume it's because she hadn't really had anybody to share it with.
[though if some random stranger has Hotaru's body, that particular secret won't be quite so secret anymore]
no subject
Oh I see, I didn't mean to pry.
I will keep it to myself until she is comfortable sharing the matter on her own.
no subject
[there's a smile on her that might look odd on Haruka's face. Were you implying that she was prying by sharing that information?
...then again, past experience has shown that that's probably not the case.
And she's shaking her head, odd smile gone.] Keeping it a secret is likely a futile effort, but that's considerate of you.
[both Melody and Bass get a pat on the head] Go get breakfast, but stay close for now. My Warp Band may not be working as well.
[read: she hasn't had time to check if having Haruka's ability will interfere with having five slots on her Band.]
