Who: Usagi Tsukino, Ami Mizuno, Rei Hino, Makoto Kino, Minako Aino and any party crashers that may just so happen to be near the beach *cough*~~The outer senshi~~*cough*
Where: Beachside, south of Union!
What: Wouldn't you guess, it's Ami's birthday! Usagi's taken the time to set up a birthday camp expedition to the beach with food, swimming and games to show a certain book worm how birthdays should really be ~~according to her mantra~~.
Warnings: You've got the usual senshi shenanigans with a dash of the Body Swap event mixed in. Sounds like a hilarious episode, doesn't it?

[ Thanks to a little birdie ~~one Rei Hino~~, it was up to Usagi to come up with the best birthday she could in what little time she had. And after careful consideration for who this birthday was for, Usagi could only come up with nothing but beach fun! It was still warm enough that swimming wouldn't get any of them sick, but it was cool enough that they wouldn't die of heat.

So, with friends, pokemon, food and camping gear in tow, it's time for the best birthday that ~~Usagi hoped~~ would be the best birthday Ami would ever have! ]

ooc: So, since this log is pretty simple, it's only going to be separated by Friday and Saturday (for obvious reasons). Friday might have more in terms of playing around, helping ~~Mako-chan~~ with the food or pokemon shenanigans but otherwise, have fun! It's not every day one turns 17 after all. ;D Also, don't be surprised if threadjacking happens? A whole bunch of teenage girls in one place.. it's only natural that everyone is in each others' business... ~~unless you state that you don't want thread jacking. that's fine too!~~

[Vollyball, Air Cutter, whatever, Makoto's got this.

Especially since Haruka so helpfully aimed it in her direction!

She's too far from the net to spike, unfortunately, but she's got her fists together and under the ball when it comes down and boosts it right back up into the air and over the net.]

[ What is "too far from the net to spike"? Haruka is unfamiliar with this concept. She waits, patiently, as Makoto receives the ball, watching its trajectory - nice hit, you're very good - then takes a few brisk strides and leaps into the air.

That would be a spike. Which does have the unfortunate effect of sending the ball down more in, say, Usagi's distance from the net than Makoto's.

Think fast! ]

[Minako had somehow ended up on Haruka's side of the net ~~totally not because she forced her way there okay~~ and watched the first three hits go flawlessly for now.

But then the ball headed for Usagi... the least athletic one there! Or at least, the least coordinated. Minako debated holding back her potential block just in case, but her competitive side took over and she moved over just in case.]

[ OH GOD NO WHY DID SHE THINK PLAYING THIS GAME WAS A GOOD IDEA, WHAT KIND OF LIFE DECISION DID SHE MAKE.

Usagi sees the ball making a bee line for her area and immediately starts to panic. It was such a fast ball! But, she didn't want to have her team lose, so without even thinking, she sprints forward and shuts her eyes closed as she pulls her arms forward to hit the ball with her forearms.

She feels it smack against her skin, and only when she's sure that it didn't go flying behind them that she peeks her eyes open and finally sees that it's heading to Minako's side of the court.

But, that's not the point. The point is.... ]

I hit it! I hit it!

[ It's the small victories, okay. ]

Minako-chan!

[ Haruka backs up, but she doubts the ball's going to reach her back here near the edge of the "court". She and Minako have mostly talked about showbiz. Is she an athlete, too?

And how far will that ball make it over the net??? ]

Got it!

[She handled it really easy, turning around to hit it backwards over her head and the net!]

Piece of cake!

[Makoto had rushed forward to back up Usagi, but had been pleasantly surprised when the blonde managed to return the ball back over the net - not in vain, though, because now she's in prime position to return Minako's pass - ]

Got it!

[ - And smack it right back over the net!]

[ Not bad, ladies. Haruka just might leave impressed.

She's waiting for the ball by the time Mako's strike makes it to the back of the court. This time, she aims for Usagi on purpose. ] No slacking.

[ Speak for yourself, God of War. Sheesh. ~~but we don't really want to have to retrieve the ball from an earthquake crater amirite~~ ]
