Today on BNW: Beach Surprise! Ami's Special Birthday Gift...

Who: Usagi Tsukino, Ami Mizuno, Rei Hino, Makoto Kino, Minako Aino and any party crashers that may just so happen to be near the beach *cough*~~The outer senshi~~*cough*
Where: Beachside, south of Union!
What: Wouldn't you guess, it's Ami's birthday! Usagi's taken the time to set up a birthday camp expedition to the beach with food, swimming and games to show a certain book worm how birthdays should really be ~~according to her mantra~~.
Warnings: You've got the usual senshi shenanigans with a dash of the Body Swap event mixed in. Sounds like a hilarious episode, doesn't it?

[ Thanks to a little birdie ~~one Rei Hino~~, it was up to Usagi to come up with the best birthday she could in what little time she had. And after careful consideration for who this birthday was for, Usagi could only come up with nothing but beach fun! It was still warm enough that swimming wouldn't get any of them sick, but it was cool enough that they wouldn't die of heat.

So, with friends, pokemon, food and camping gear in tow, it's time for the best birthday that ~~Usagi hoped~~ would be the best birthday Ami would ever have! ]

ooc: So, since this log is pretty simple, it's only going to be separated by Friday and Saturday (for obvious reasons). Friday might have more in terms of playing around, helping ~~Mako-chan~~ with the food or pokemon shenanigans but otherwise, have fun! It's not every day one turns 17 after all. ;D Also, don't be surprised if threadjacking happens? A whole bunch of teenage girls in one place.. it's only natural that everyone is in each others' business... ~~unless you state that you don't want thread jacking. that's fine too!~~

I suppose the best we can hope for is that it'll get bored soon. [unless it suddenly shows up with a list of demands.

The lack of general knowledge about the gods really doesn't help. Maybe if they could pinpoint the source of it, they could figure out where to start looking, but it seems like most people only noticed when they woke up. Even if the changes radiated outwards, nobody knew about it.

...And oh hi. Gold's back, along with Vivace.

To the horse:] And?

[Vivace snorts, and then pushes her head against Michiru's shoulder, a little harder than usual. But still, she's more or less admitting defeat.]

[ Gold hasn't quite figured this out yet, being less clever than Vivace and also inclined to go with the flow. If the horse is playing with his Trainer, so will he! He rubs his head against Michiru's legs. The horse got a lot of breakfast today, Trainer. Hint hint. ] Ee vee.

[ Haruka reaches down to scoop him up. Don't bother Michiru. They have some important acceptance of a bad situation to finish here.

She sighs. ] Just take care of that while you're babysitting it. I know where you sleep.

[ Wink. ]

[funny, Haruka. She reaches up to soothingly pet the horse. There, there. Why don't you finish breakfast, Vivace?

Speaking of babysitting...] If you're going back to the tent, Minuet is probably about to wake up.

[should she come with you?]

[ .....oh Savior, Minuet. She had been trying not to think about that. That poor kid is going to be so confused...

Unless. Hm. ] She might not understand this.

[ But can Haruka pass for Mommy until they're both back where they belong?

In the meantime, she'd better go look after "her" baby, though. Are you up, Minuet? ]

[Michiru will stay out here and get baby's breakfast. Vivace hovers a bit anxiously, but the imminent danger of baby waking up is enough to convince her to let Michiru get to work.

Baby had been drowsing, but the appearance of 'Mommy' gets her to beam up at you, wiggling her arms and trying the escape the saddlebag nest Michiru had ensconced her in.] Priii!! Toge toge!

[ ...okay, that is pretty adorable. Haruka sighs and strides up to her doom, picking baby up and cradling her. To try and explain..? It's probably futile. ] Easy. You're too young to be an escape artist.

[ Rock rock cradle cradle. ] Did you sleep well?

[ Can you even understand her? ]

[probably not, but the happy trills certainly make it seem like she's answering. It's Mom! There are hugs! And Mom sounds happy!]

Pri! [maybe this could be super easy, after all]

[ Haruka certainly doesn't lack for charisma, no matter what body she's in. ] You don't seem affected.

[ And neither had any of the other Pokémon. (Which is probably good. The next thing any of them need is an eggbaby with a Rhydon body.)

Patting baby's back, she joins Michiru. Haruka looks way happier to be holding a baby than even she realizes. There's something endearing about being looked at like you're the whole universe. ] She's a morning person.

[and that's a smile when she sees the two of you. This looks to be a good sign.] She usually is.

[she's holding up a small container of chopped up berries] Shall I, or would you like to?

[feeding baby has always been pretty easy. Right?]

[ Haruka takes the container. Accept help? Haruka Tenoh? This baby is as good as fed. ]

This looks good. [ Did you want some, baby? She settles down to put baby in her lap, jiggling her leg to bump baby up and down. Haruka then shows her a spoonful, still talking as if the baby can understand her. She might pick up on tone. ] You'll be putting up with me for a while, sorry. Be kind.

[ Your body has probably never sat with its legs spread before, huh. ]

[...probably not. At least not in public. Either way, Michiru starts the rest of the chores while you're busy with baby. Food for Gold first, and then she'll start measuring out the food for the Pokemon that aren't awake yet.

Baby is a little confused by this new method of...whatever this is! And might not be paying the slightest bit of attention to the spoon. Everything's moving! Whoa!] Pri?

[ Too much? Haruka slows her leg down to a stop. There. All set for breakfast. ] Open up.

[ Pretty much as soon as Michiru's handling the bag with Gold's food in it, the Eevee himself trots into the tent, tail wagging. Food! He heard his food! Thank you, Trainer!

...You are Trainer, right? Vivace was saying weird weird things. He tilts his head but sits at attention. Whoever you are, you love him and feed him. This is good. ] Ee?

Well, hello there. You're very punctual. [and she's setting the bowl of food in front of Gold. There you go. And as to whatever you're saying...maybe she'll leave it to your actual Trainer.]

Toge? [now eggbaby is looking all around. The shaking stopped! What gives?]

[ Eh, Haruka has a habit of half-tuning Gold out anyway. He likes the sound of his own veeoice. This looks like good food though! Thanks again! ] Vee!

His head goes down and his tail goes up as he eats. Nom nom nom.

Poor baby. Did she shake your world, Minuet? Haruka pops a spoon of Berries into the baby's mouth while she's distracted. ] Does she get the whole jar?

[wha-? What's...oh! Food! Baby chews thoughtfully for a moment before she decides that yes! This is a good thing!] Prii!

Usually, yes. [you probably shouldn't have any other problems, now that you've got baby's attention.

And here's a sleepy Martelé, toddering up and yawning widely. And shoving her face towards Gold's so that she could steal his breakfast. Whoops.]

...Martelé. [there's just some muffled veeing in response]

Vee. [ Gold doesn't seem to mind, though. You look sleepy, Martelé. Will food help you wake up? By all means, eat his food. That will help you.

Backing away from the dish, he smiles up at Michiru and vees happily. He did a good deed! ]

[ Haruka is busy with baby, but she sighs. Really loudly. ]

[maybe later she'll find the energy to talk to Martelé about bullying veritable doormats, but today isn't the day. Instead, she just sets what was Martelé's food bowl in front of Gold.]

I suppose this is yours, then. [have some brand new food? Martelé's ears perk up at the sound of more food, but she pauses under Michiru's eyes. And then glances at her "Trainer" instead to see if you're watching.] I know what you're doing, Martelé.

[that...tone of voice sounds suspiciously familiar. Maybe she'll just twitch her ears, vee, and go back to eating her stolen food. That was what she was intending all along, sheesh!]

Talk to the horse when you're done. [ Easy, baby. Don't eat too fast. Haruka stirs the berries before offering another bite. This is going to be a long....however long they're like this. ] And listen to her.

[ A tilt of her head towards Michiru. Martelé is intelligent. They should be able to teach her who's who.

Oh, no, baby! We're out of breakfast! ]

[Martelé blinks, staring a little at Haruka. Does her Trainer usually make that type of motion? It looks a little...off.]

Eat first.

[Martelé is getting suspicious. She glances at Gold. She's not exactly expecting much, but maybe he's got some idea of what's going on?

Baby's tummy is all full, so no complaints here. There is quite a lot of happy burbling noises and arm waving going on, however.]

[ What does all this baby motion mean? Haruka looks over at Michiru for cues, but pats baby's back. People do this after babies eat. She thinks.

Just in case, she offers a finger. Do you want to play with this?

Gold is all too happy to help. Yes! He and Vivace have noticed something is strange, so they did an investigation. His findings weren't conclusive, but he thinks the horse thinks that Trainer is.....not Trainer, and your Trainer is his Trainer....? He doesn't really get it either! So for now, why not just listen to both? That's what he's doing, and it means twice the people who need him! He likes that. ] Vee! Vee eevee vee vee eevee.

[ This explanation involves an imitation mane toss to indicate Vivace, but he can't pull it off so he stumbles a bit. He's a trustworthy source though, he swears. ]

[baby latches onto that finger happily! It's playtime, right?

Martelé's eyes start glazing over at Gold's explanation. Uh. Yeah. Sure.] Vee...

[maybe she'll just ask Vivace later...

Finished, Michiru finally takes a seat next to Haruka and hands her the plush Rhyhorn. There you go.]

[ Oh, hey, look at this little guy! This Rhyhorn has had lots of love, huh? She even thinks she sees some Leavanny silk in these stitches. Haruka passes this special stuffed friend on to its owner. Can she have her finger back now? ]

I guess there's no point in breaking camp early. [ Haruka looks down at the Pokémon. Gold has fallen quiet for once. He is busy eating his food. ]

[Minuet giggles and gladly exchanges one for the other. She's full, she's got her toy, and she's got Mommy. This is one undemanding eggbaby you've got there.]

If it was just us, perhaps. [the girls will probably have to go by the ferry schedule no matter what. And well, she wants to see if they're okay.

Martelé takes her cue from Gold and starts stuffing her face too!]

[ Well, that egg sure went over easy.

The mention of the other girls has Haruka looking a bit melancholy too. That's right. They aren't responsible for just themselves right now. Those girls are going to be confused, to say nothing of their Pokémon...and as far as she knows, not many of them are Enlightened. What if they suddenly find themselves with powers they don't know how to handle?

...drat. She's doing the worry thing again, isn't she. Better exhale and state the obvious. ]

It's going to be an interesting morning.

[that gets a quiet chuckle as she stretches, bringing up her (now ridiculously long) arms over her head.]

We might as well make breakfast. [or tea, at least. Nothing is on fire yet, she knows better than to punch the ground on a whim, and all they can do right now is wait for more information so they could start a plan of investigation later on.

She's still nothing if not practical, at least.]
