Where: Beachside, south of Union!
What: Wouldn't you guess, it's Ami's birthday! Usagi's taken the time to set up a birthday camp expedition to the beach with food, swimming and games to show a certain book worm how birthdays should really be according to her mantra.
Warnings: You've got the usual senshi shenanigans with a dash of the Body Swap event mixed in. Sounds like a hilarious episode, doesn't it?




[ Thanks to a little birdie one Rei Hino, it was up to Usagi to come up with the best birthday she could in what little time she had. And after careful consideration for who this birthday was for, Usagi could only come up with nothing but beach fun! It was still warm enough that swimming wouldn't get any of them sick, but it was cool enough that they wouldn't die of heat.

So, with friends, pokemon, food and camping gear in tow, it's time for the best birthday that Usagi hoped would be the best birthday Ami would ever have! ]

ooc: So, since this log is pretty simple, it's only going to be separated by Friday and Saturday (for obvious reasons). Friday might have more in terms of playing around, helping Mako-chan with the food or pokemon shenanigans but otherwise, have fun! It's not every day one turns 17 after all. ;D Also, don't be surprised if threadjacking happens? A whole bunch of teenage girls in one place.. it's only natural that everyone is in each others' business... unless you state that you don't want thread jacking. that's fine too!

Could it have something to do with that monster, last month? The one people keep saying was a god?

I suspect we'll be spending time in the library again. [because she honestly has no idea where to even begin looking for clues. At least it'll be easier to reach the higher shelves like this.

And then, there's a slightly mischievous smile at Rei.]

Do you need any clothes? [your uh, proportions seemed to have changed. And maybe she can give away Haruka's mustard yellow clothes while she's at it.]

I called my cousin. He's...coming to exchange clothes.

[it's ridiculous how she will still initiate small talk during a mild crisis. But then again, staying calm seems to be helping her Eevee go from 'upset' to merely 'grumpy,' - judging from the Normal type is resignedly flopping down in her lap. How can her Trainer be this calm? [Rei shakes her head and takes a seat on a log they'd used the night before.]

But frankly, I'm not sure I ever wanted to get to know him quite so well.

[She smiles, supremely grateful for something warm. Eiji is...cold...]

He doesn't, no. He's an Ice type. Which...is why I'm so cold. I can't remember the last time I felt even a little chilly. But now?

[bet there's a saying about Ice types being fair weather friends; you don't want them around you in the winter.]

You'll have to ask him for tips, but I get the feeling Ice types are probably used to it.

[she's never heard Haruka's Beartic complain of the cold.]

I...actually am more worried about him. My clothes are fireproofed. His are definitely not.

As far as I know? It's just Hina, his Fletchling. I may have to have Moeris stay with him a while.

Moeris is my Kingler. We met on a fishing trip with Asemu-kun.

I need to try that more often. I haven't had the chance to do so since that time at the swamps.

[and Eevee is now turning her grumpy stare onto Rei. Who are you supposed to be, huh???] That's Rei. You remember Deimos, surely?

Vee. [she does! But she's gonna stay grouchy no matter what.]

[A laugh she returns with an embarrassed one of her own.]

It was nice. Asemu-kun shared his fishing tips with me, and Moeris was the first catch. And then Hellenes too. [Stupid Magikarp.]

[And at the mention of her name, a green and white head pokes out of the tent, and a Gardevoir glides into view, looking at Eevee intently. You need to calm down, dear. Relax a bit.]

Hellenes? [now she's wondering if Haruka had met that one too.

Martelé's tail twitches rebelliously as she vees at Deimos. This whole thing is stupid!!! And weird!!!

Michiru just keeps petting the Normal type, giving Deimos an apologetic look.] It's just a tantrum. Childish, isn't it?

[that, at least, gets Martelé to stop veeing.]

Deimos seems unphased and reaches the Eevee to pat it on the head too.] Voir...

[Martelé sighs and sits up straighter, trying to feel more like an adult. Although it's kinda hard to ignore the fact that her friend had evolved twice (!) already and is so much taller than she is. But no, she's nuzzling into the pets.]

So I've been told. Asemu-kun let me keep Hellenes, and she doesn't seem to mind. But it's slow going with her training.
