First Dango: Arrival at Union. [Video/Action]

[deadlydango]

[The video feed that comes through this fine afternoon is clearly another newbie, if the dialogue and positioning are any indication. It’s actually upside down, and the person looking at it is scowling just a bit.]

Geez, does this thing even work? Stupid…blinking. Quit it!

[It clicks off, and then back on rightside up as the woman frowns at it.]

There. Good. [Clearing her throat, the woman puts on an obviously forced smile.] Yo. Not sure who all can see this, but hey.

[Hooking a thumb at herself, Anko’s tone shifts to a brash, almost cocky tone.]

I’m Anko, from up north in Citadel. Came down here to check out what’s going on in Union, and to do a little research. If there’s anyone with experience around the mountains, particularly with mapping, let me know. I’m looking for someone, and that’s the last place I saw her.

[The video shuts off without further information. She doesn’t really expect anyone to help, but who knows with Unionites. They didn’t have to come fight that monster, either.]

[And around Union, Anko’s not hard to find. She’s trotting through the streets wearing a heavy coat despite the heat, occasionally poking her head into a sweets shop and emerging with a dango or some other snack in hand. She does this at literally every shop between the gate and the library, taste-testing to find the best.

Now, when she reaches the library, she isn’t exactly the quietest person there. In fact, she’s actually pretty damn noisy, since she’s hardly trying to walk quietly. She’s there for several hours going through books and maps and journals, huffing noisily each time she finishes, seemingly unsatisfied. Who’d have thought research was hard. Ugh…]

[He takes the chocolate, popping it into his mouth.]

I'll say. But what's dango? I've never had it.

[Her eyebrow raises.]

It's a sweet ball of mochi. Just so happens I have some. From another shop down the street. Not the best, but...not bad.

[And she pulls out a stick of pink, white, and green balls of a gooey substance.]

[He leans over to look at them curiously, blinking a few times.]

They look great. Ah...

[His hand reaches up, but not outward to reach for them. He kinda wants to try one.]

They do, don't they?

[She grins and plucks off a single ball for him, one of the pink cherry ones. The others all vanish into her mouth.]

[He happily takes the pink cherry one. It too, disappears into his mouth, and he eats it happily.]

Man, this is good! I'm going to have to get some of this later. Thanks!

[Goku rude you didn't even tell her your name]

Hey, doofus. What do I call you, anyway?

Oh, my name's Goku. Sorry, sometimes I get a little carried away.

[She claps her hands once.]

I can see that. And I can see you have the manners of an Tauros. But that's okay.

What's that supposed to mean? [It's asked innocently. He eats Tauros. But they're a pretty cool, strong pokémon. And he's never had one. Is he missing something?]

[Oh...god, and the brain of a Dunsparce, wtf dude.]

Nothing. Though, let's just say that if you're a trainer you might get on well with one.

Well that's good. I haven't met a pokémon yet that I haven't been able to at least talk to.

[He's never considered getting a Tauros before, they seem pretty temperamental after all. But he guesses he could try.]

Well, that's good. You have a lot, then?

Not as many as a lot of other trainers, but I've got a few. We like to focus more on training than going out and finding more pokémon.

[Anko rolls a shoulder and looks him up and down.]

You look like you work out. Or is that natural?

Maybe a little bit of both. My parents were pretty strong too, and my grandpa made sure I learned martial arts. I guess I look the part, huh. [He laughs a little, he at least knows he's kind of buff.]

You do. It reminds me of one of my teachers. Namikaze-sensei was built like you.

[And you can be sure not many people get that level of respect from her!]

Are you just a martial artist, or do you have power yourself?

I'm an Enlightened, yeah. I've got my own set of abilities, though I think I need to be a little more careful with them sometimes.

[He put a small crater in the park. Whoops.]

How about you? [Oooo maybe she's really strong maybe he can spar her]

[She nods at him, sliding into a seat across from him.]

I am, yeah. What's your type? [Heh, and she's not even hitting on him.]

Fighting and Normal. It know it's a little strange.

[deadlydango]

Nah. [She laughs lightly.] I'm Fighting typed myself. Nothing odd about that.

Yeah... [He laughs to himself.]

My evolutions won't make me look weird either, so I guess I've got that to be thankful for. I bet with your fighting typing, you'll evolve like Machoke did.

[Big, buff, and BODYBUILDING CHISELED MUSCLE MASS OF DOOM]

Hardly. I'm not just a fighting type.

[Smiling sharply, Anko holds out a palm and calls up a bit of dark purple energy.]

I'm Dark and Psychic too.

[His eyes go wide and he looks at the cool ball of energy in her hand. Looks kinda like his, only his doesn't have that color.]

That looks a lot like one of my own techniques. Gee, I didn't think you could turn it into that.

[That's cool as hell.]

Well. Yeah. It's just sorta like a Confusion attack.

[Only a little darker.]

Most people from my village are similar.
