Plot Description: Some kids from Union help to spread the awesomeness of Pokémon habitats to our desert neighbors.
Warnings/Notes: Probably not OSHA compliant.
Rise has just about exactly enough common sense that she did, in fact, expect that convincing Caldera's and Union's leaders that building a secondary Pokémon habitat in the desert city was a great idea would be the easy part of the endeavor. Now she and some volunteers from Union were doing what she - correctly - figured was the hard part, which was the actual construction of the sprawling structure. Fortunately, between Union's architects and Caldera's engineers, the planning wasn't up to a bunch of clueless kids, and even a lot of the construction was paid local labor - they're mostly just here as representatives of Union's willingness to help out their allies.
That's not to say they weren't doing work, of course. Rise, standing under a parasol, was coordinating the Union volunteers - split between material hauling and doing detail work on the new structure - using her powers. All in all, it was going smoothly...so far.

[Chie laughs a little, lifting a foot up out of the water she's soaking it in and wriggling her toes.]
So what are you and your Pokemon doing? Helping Rise out?

[ After all, being enlightened was meant for the special people. Usagi seems pretty certain that she's not one of those people.
And she'd be wrong, but that's for another time.]We've been doing some painting for the parts that are done. We even helped organized some plants to be planted later!

But decorating is definitely important, too! Pokemon like nice surroundings just as much as people do.

Don't I know it. My Gloom has taken it upon himself to try out all the plants to make sure they're okay.
[ Which is another way of saying that Turnip has been enjoying the plants more than working. But, it doesn't bother Usagi too much. ]

[Chie reaches over to take Usagi's hand briefly in her own. Her body temperature is pretty low. Not enough to actually freeze flesh or cause any damage, but enough to be sort of uncomfortably chilly. It probably feels pretty nice in the Calderan heat, though.]
Well, it's good for them to help out too. They're the ones who have to live here, after all.

[ Oh. Chie's cold hand was feeling mighty nice right now. So cool. So relaxing. It's almost a disappointment when Chie pulls away, but, she had made her point. ]

I'm on the build team. I have a lot of Fighting types, so we've been carrying materials and stuff.
