Plot Description: Some kids from Union help to spread the awesomeness of Pokémon habitats to our desert neighbors.
Warnings/Notes: Probably not OSHA compliant.

Rise has just about exactly enough common sense that she did, in fact, expect that convincing Caldera's and Union's leaders that building a secondary Pokémon habitat in the desert city was a great idea would be the easy part of the endeavor. Now she and some volunteers from Union were doing what she - correctly - figured was the hard part, which was the actual construction of the sprawling structure. Fortunately, between Union's architects and Caldera's engineers, the planning wasn't up to a bunch of clueless kids, and even a lot of the construction was paid local labor - they're mostly just here as representatives of Union's willingness to help out their allies.

That's not to say they weren't doing work, of course. Rise, standing under a parasol, was coordinating the Union volunteers - split between material hauling and doing detail work on the new structure - using her powers. All in all, it was going smoothly...so far.

Apollo had a few good-sized Pokémon; the problem was that they had trouble carrying things unaided with their body types, leaving some as pack Pokémon, some ferrying single items in their mouths, and some not being able to do anything but wander around and watch the proceedings. Apollo's knowledge of Pokémon, combined with his ability to ask them questions if he didn't know something, led him to be very helpful in making sure the environments inside the habitat were exactly as they should be, often to the level of what seemed like nitpicky detail. He certainly wasn't just standing around giving orders though. He was hauling whatever needed hauling, leaping up to high places to ferry items to other people or to work on things he knew how to do, and generally doing whatever work didn't require any knowledge of actual construction.

Starting on the 23rd though a new member of the team enters the picture. Apollo's Golett egg hatches then, and after a bit of toddling around and watching all the humans and Pokémon hard at work, the newborn Golett decides that it wants to help too. It doesn't know anything about building, but it does know how to carry things.

So did you leave your hammer nearby? Now in its place is a potted plant. Did you have a bag of cement? Now you have a tall glass of milk that's started to curdle in the heat. Did you have a block of stone all ready to move into position? Now you have a box of lightbulbs.

Golett is helping.

Golett is happily toddling away when it hears Rise call. It turns, still carefully holding the box, and tilts its head to the side.

"Gol?"
