[With the recent goings on between the raiders of Citadel, and the appearance of a God, Nozomi is feeling just a bit inadequate. It made since that Eri would show both her and Maki up in a fight--she was a trained fighter, after all--but it bothered her that she could not defend herself, let alone the other person with them.

So, during the week after the attack, Etteilla will be closed. Nozomi and any number of her pokemon can be found outside of Union, training. It seems that Nozomi has picked up a staff and is attempting to learn how to use it, to varying success.

When not trying to beat whatever it is she's trying to fight to a pulp, she can be seen sitting and meditating.]

[Jinxie comes out to the forest to meditate quite a bit too. She's not used to seeing someone already there when she arrives, though. But it's Nozomi, so rather than leave to find another place to do her own meditation exercises, she quietly settles down next to her cousin. Close enough to make her presence known, but still far enough away that she won't be a distraction. Kneeling down, she slows her breathing, trying to match the rhythm with Nozomi's own, just the way Maya taught her at the waterfall.]

[Nozomi notices her, but instead of saying something, she simply smiles a little bit, then goes back to her business.

Puck, who has been sitting here staring at his human partner for the last hour to no avail, decides instead to start pestering Jinxie instead. He goes invisible and starts to tug at her hair lightly.]

[Wow, Nozomi is really good at this. Jinxie grumbles quietly as she settles in, not terribly fond of the hair tugging that's going on.]

[Well, Nozomi had certainly seemed like a decent sort when they'd spoken before, which is sort of why she stops to watch the other woman practicing with that staff of hers. Sometimes she almost seems competent, but to someone who practices and teaches martial arts...it's a little bit painful seeing some of those swings.]

[Nozomi stops, too focused on what she had been doing to notice that someone was watching. She stops, blinking a few times, and starting to readjust her grip. It's still wrong, but a little better than it had been.]

[Yuuna clicks her tongue and steps closer, reaching for Nozomi's shoulder so she can just guide the other.]

No, but better. You don't want to hold it so rigidly, or you'll hurt your wrist when you hit something.

[Nozomi lets the other girl reposition her, focusing in on her movements. She tries to loosen up a bit.]

[She had specifically gone off to train in secret, and yet here Eri was. Nozomi stops suddenly, looking a little bit like a kid caught with its hand in a cookie jar.]

[She should have probably sensed her coming, but she was so focused that she didn't realize she was being watched.]

[Rutee likes to people watch on her way around the city. It's easy to figure out who'd be a good target for snatching some pocket change or asking for work (kind of the same thing, right?) so she's always keeping an eye out for anyone interesting. Because of this, she sees Nozomi training a few days in a row every time she leaves the city to go on her usual (failed) hunts. The third day, she finally comes up to her while she's practicing with her staff. Her Purrloin Mary is at her ankles ready and waiting and Atwight the Hondege is chilling at her thigh on her sheath clip.]

You know, your footing's all wrong when you swing around like that! You're gonna end up twisting your back funny or something.
