[ At the start of the video all a person can see is the lower half of a girl's room, expensively decorated in what must be some kind of mansion. Nothing moves on screen, even as Maki's voice speaks up. ]

D-Does anyone know anything about Shifters? I-It's not like I need help or anything, I-I'm just trying to learn more about them.

[ Even though she says that, her tone of voice, the awkward stammers, it's clear that she's not being 100% truthful. ]

What if someone ended up getting stuck completely transformed...and didn't know how to turn back? N-No, wait! What I mean is... not like that but...

[ If the person in question isn't completely clear by now, it's made even worse when a woman's voice is heard off camera saying, "Maki, are you coming down for dinner?". ]

M-Mama! [ Suddenly scrambling to turn off her Warp Band, a purple, feline looking Pokemon comes into frame for just a moment, and then the video turns off. ]

[ action ]

[ If you happen to see a slightly off color Purrloin wandering the streets, or perhaps just sitting and listening to someone playing a violin somewhere in the city, it might just be Maki. This is the first time she's ever fully transformed, and is still afraid of people, though she will try not to run away from anyone who approaches her. She's also not sure how to turn back, worried that the more she stays like this, the more permanent it might become. ]

[ Maki really doesn't understand what it means to be friends between a human and a Pokemon. ]

If it was so strange, why would there even be Trainers working with us? I thought it would be interesting to see what it'd be like!

Because people and humans are different! I don't need to take care of a Pokemon all the time.

[ Wait, she said something weird. ]

I-I mean I don't want to be owned by a person!

[freelyfalling]

No-one's saying you have to!

[Wait.]

...you don't want to take care of anyone either? You... like being alone?

W-Well, it's only natural for a person like me to be alone! It's not like anyone can understand me.

[ That's not true at all, but she still thinks it. ]

[freelyfalling]

Oh, you seem purrfectly okay to me! I can understand you!

[cutiepanther]

I didn't mean it like that...

[ Maki turns to look at the other Purrloin, looking at how a real Pokemon is supposed to look, not meaning to stare or anything. ]

I mean, I don't see how humans and Pokemon get along.

[freelyfalling]

Well, some humans are kind of idiots. But so are some Pokémon! There was this old Liepard I knew... but you don't want to hear about that, do you?

[cutiepanther]

...which one is a Liepard? [ A Purrloin who doesn't even know her own evolution. ]

[freelyfalling]

[Wait, what? Is this kitty for real? Headtilt-]

Prr? What do you mean, 'which one is a Liepard'? You've got to be kidding me!

[ Maki takes a defensive step back. ]

T-This is my first time as a Pokemon, how am I supposed to know that it is?!

[freelyfalling]

Your first time as... oooh!

[The Purrloin just about giggles.]

I get it! No wonder you're so confused...

[cutiepanther]

I-I don't know what you're talking about!

[ Maki feels flustered, unsure of what the other Purrloin means, despite outing herself a moment ago. ]

[freelyfalling]

Purrlease. You're a Shifter, aren't you? You're normally human, right?

[cutiepanther]

S-So what if I am?! [ Maki's not sure why, but suddenly she's defensive about it. ]

[freelyfalling]

Hey, I wasn't complaining! Hee! My Trainer can't really talk to us well, so it's great to be talking to you!

[Look at that tail go...]

[cutiepanther]

I guess it must be tough, not really able to talk to your own Trainer. ...But you still trust them?

[freelyfalling]

Mhm! [Not the greatest judge of character, this kitty.

(Somewhere in the distance, there's a figure looking around, trying not to let his frustration show...)]

[cutiepanther]

That must be nice..

[ Maki's never really thought of having one for herself though, but she's starting to see why it might not be so bad. ]

Who's your partner then?

[freelyfalling]

Oh - [How to - ah!] You see over there? With the red scarf and the eyepatch? That's him!

[cutiepanther]

T-That guy?! [ Maki follows the other Pokemon's motion, to see someone she would most likely avoid if she could. And yet, here she is, becoming friends with him Pokemon. ]

He's kind of scary looking..
