005 // Action
[ action; around Union ]

[ There is an egg on the ground.
It used to be on the windowsill of a room on the first floor of the Union Divine Theater housing complex. But whatever's growing inside this egg is already restless, and a few wiggles and wobbles sent it tumbling over the edge to land safe and sound in a grassy patch. Though the going is slow, it's begun to unconsciously roll its way down the courtyard and out towards the street.
There's a saying about how stifling eggs are, after all. If it cannot break its egg's shell, a Pokémon will die without being born.....
....there's also a Cubchoo running around, a panicked look on her drippy face. She had one job! Where did the egg go?! ]
[ action (?); Flower Grove ]
[ Unaware of the commotion caused by her absence, Haruka is taking it easy today. She's gone out to the Flower Grove to train against types of Pokémon not commonly found in Union, and ended up intrigued by the flora. She's seen these before....oh, when the foliage sprouted everywhere. So she's clipped a few flowers to take back to Union for investigation. Setsuna or Pamela might be able to help with that.
In the meantime, she and Swadloon are relaxing among the flowers, eyelashes slowly fluttering shut. A Spritzee is sitting next to Swadloon; every now and then she snuggles against him. He's just so green! Green is an amazing color!
Haruka sighs, content; ethereal sparkles play around her face as she relaxes further into the now-glittering flower bed, awash in pastels. ] There's a soft wind blowing today.

Haruka tips her chin up to look at Michiru. Hi. She's being lazy today, it's bad. ] These look familiar to you too, right?
[ She lifts a flower. There. Obligatory Mission talk. Now she can relax, satisfied she isn't totally wasting her time out here. ]
no subject
A contemplative look even as she reaches out to take the flower.] Back when we had that rather sudden spring.
[did they pay any attention to the legendaries at the end of it?]
no subject
She shifts her head to see whether Michiru's lap is within pillow range. ] And here they're growing next to a desert. There might be a connection.
[ Pink birdie is going to fly up up and away...and then down again, because she can't get close to all the beautiful colors if she flies too far (plus, she's just a little roly-poly bird). Oh, these flowers....
Distracted, she plunges into a patch of those same blossoms. This could be your chance, Minuet. ]
no subject
It's odd, but... [unless they go back in fall or winter and still find it blooming, they can't really be sure.
A quiet inhale.] It's peaceful here.
[doom and apocalypse things don't really seem to fit.
Oh no, pink birdie! Where are you go - oh hi again! Aaand Minuet pounces with a fearsome warcry!] Priiii!!
no subject
[ ..."Pri" buddies. How about that. Feathers fly up from the flower patch as Haruka settles her head on this conveniently-placed lap. ] ....That's true.
[ She trails off, thoughtful. Many Pokémon's moods had improved when the flowers bloomed, too. Is it possible there's something out there that doesn't want to destroy humanity, but make them...happy..?..instead?
Wondering that sort of thing doesn't do her any good, though, does it. Just makes her expression picturesque. ]

harassestries to hug Spritzee. That's...not enough to stand up for, right?]Mm. [yeah, no. She'd rather idly play with your hair instead.
What are the chances that this is all to lull them into a false sense of security? It was ultimately harmless, but it was pretty disruptive even if the Pokemon seem perfectly fine here.
...she takes a moment to imagine Waltz happily skipping about and giving Sky great big hugs.
...
And yup, she's bringing up her free hand to hide her grin.]
no subject
[ Heedless or else nonchalant about her Pokémon's "plight", Haruka's definitely lulled by that hand in her hair. And then amused by that smile. She tips up her chin. ] Do I want to know?
no subject
Heh.] I don't know. Do you?
[when Hotaru's Gothorita evolves, there might be trouble too]
no subject
Swadloon, meanwhile, is making his way over to see if Spritzee needs any help with the baby. He's munching a leaf. Are you okay, baby? ] Swadloon.
[ Haruka thinks. But not too hard. ] Imagination might trump reality. If you keep silent, I can imagine whatever I want.
[ From the mischievous look on her own face, she can imagine quite a bit. ]
no subject
Is that how it is? [that gets you a smirk.] I thought I was the creative one.
no subject
Swadloon sticks the leaf slightly more out of his mouth so eggbaby can see. This probably isn't good for babies, but he finds it tasty. And it'd be a shame to eat the flowers so he's snacking instead. ] Swad.
[ You could have a leaf if you wanted, sure, but for decoration....Oh. He hasn't given Spritzee a leaf yet. Swadloon stares up at the bird as it bobbles around. Are you thinking what he's thinking, baby? ]
no subject
You don't look like you're having fun. [that doesn't have to be necessarily true for her to say it.]
no subject
Okay, she's snuggling. But she's too cool for that verb.Natto looks down at where baby is poking. Does he have something on himself? ] Loon?
[ Spritzee, however, lands and puffs out her feathers at baby. Are you bothering her green thing?! She found it first! ] Spritzeee!
no subject
It's the pink birdie again! And baby is taking a step towards Spritzee, all interest in the green thing lost. Sorry, Natto.]
no subject
Having lost his partner in crime, Sewaddle begins silking up a few petals and leaves with the intent to offer them to Spritzee. It's so nice, the way she's offering herself as a toy for the baby. ] Swadloon.
[ Haruka either hasn't caught on or doesn't care that her bangs are getting a makeover
they're floppy enough for a braid, though if you tried to braid in the ahoge the whole thing might end up flipping upward. She looks over at the proceedings in the flowerbed. ] The kid's growing up fast.[ ...Or is she? Given her current fixation it's hard to tell. ]
no subject
...Don't jinx it, Haruka. It'll be a shame if baby grew up that quickly.]
Well, she's getting a bit more independent. [to Spritzee's disappointment. Though she tolerates strange humans a little better.
There are a couple of fruitless attempts to tame that ahoge, but she'll eventually incorporate it into the short braid instead.]
no subject
She glances up at Michiru. ] You lonely?
[ ....Baby, Spritzee has nothing against you. But please. Do not attempt to eat her feathers. She side-eyes Minuet as the baby approaches but holds her ground. Cleanliness requires she finish preening this wing!
Swadloon approaches from behind Togepi, too. bearing gifts of finest leaf. ] Swad.
no subject
Heh. Have a fond smile.] Never.
[not with you.
But baby just wants to help! Oh hi green thing. Are you helping too?]
no subject
If you have the guts when she's smiling at you with such trust and affection, anyway. ] Me neither.
Swadloon! [ He is going to help! He is! In fact, Swadloon is -
Tripping over his own blanket. And falling. And, if baby doesn't move, bumping into her so that the pink flowers and green leaves end up stuck on baby instead.
Spritzee's head swivels over. Her eyes grow very wide. ] Zeee....
no subject
Lucky you.Still, her fingers falter for a moment. You...are so......maybe she'll just leave it at one braid.
Baby is not the most versatile of eggs and gets bumped into! Although she receives a pretty corsage, she falls backwards to the ground and might be two seconds away from crying.
You could probably feel Michiru twitch at that.]
no subject
Swadloon is so embarrassed, and so upset for baby. Are you okay? He's sorry! He's really sorry! ] Loon! Swadloon!
[ Spritzee, on the other hand, is looking at the Togepi like the baby's the most amazing thing she's ever seen. You look so cute in all that pink and green! She hops closer. Is it all right if she nuzzles you? ] Spritzeeeeeee!
no subject
Michiru seems to be slowly relaxing.]
no subject
Spritzee does appear to be on cloud nine now that Togepi is wearing her favorite colors. Swadloon breathes out a sigh of relief, then shuffles over to Michiru. His head droops, and he attempts to hide himself more in his blankets. His clumsiness almost hurt the baby. Can he make it up to you? ] Swadloooooon.
[ Haruka relaxes too. Slightly. At least he's trying to make good on his mistake. (She doesn't realize she's holding her breath, however.) ]
no subject
Glancing at Natto.] We'll just have to be more careful next time.
[right?]
no subject
[ And then he checks with his Trainer to see whether he's in trouble here, too, but his Trainer is looking up at Michiru instead with a grateful smile. ] She's a good kid.
[ ...are you really thinking about the baby, though, Haruka? Also, it's starting to smell amazing here. A pleased Spritzee is a fragrant Spritzee. ]
