005 // Action
[ action; around Union ]

[ There is an egg on the ground.
It used to be on the windowsill of a room on the first floor of the Union Divine Theater housing complex. But whatever's growing inside this egg is already restless, and a few wiggles and wobbles sent it tumbling over the edge to land safe and sound in a grassy patch. Though the going is slow, it's begun to unconsciously roll its way down the courtyard and out towards the street.
There's a saying about how stifling eggs are, after all. If it cannot break its egg's shell, a Pokémon will die without being born.....
....there's also a Cubchoo running around, a panicked look on her drippy face. She had one job! Where did the egg go?! ]
[ action (?); Flower Grove ]
[ Unaware of the commotion caused by her absence, Haruka is taking it easy today. She's gone out to the Flower Grove to train against types of Pokémon not commonly found in Union, and ended up intrigued by the flora. She's seen these before....oh, when the foliage sprouted everywhere. So she's clipped a few flowers to take back to Union for investigation. Setsuna or Pamela might be able to help with that.
In the meantime, she and Swadloon are relaxing among the flowers, eyelashes slowly fluttering shut. A Spritzee is sitting next to Swadloon; every now and then she snuggles against him. He's just so green! Green is an amazing color!
Haruka sighs, content; ethereal sparkles play around her face as she relaxes further into the now-glittering flower bed, awash in pastels. ] There's a soft wind blowing today.

...then again, Haruka's also not about to wear nothing but green and pink herself from now on just to satisfy Spritzee. Learning to live with disappointment is important! Let's just not learn that via the baby.
Spritzee is so happy, she's cooing a little song to Togepi. ] Spritz, spritz zee! Zee, zee...
no subject
[Togepi is perfectly happy with this treatment! She gives a happy trill and is content to stay right there and listen to that song...
Eggbaby may or may not have been conditioned to hearing music right before naptime.]no subject
[ Haruka smirks and. Okay. She doesn't really want to get up all the way but she'll lift herself up on her elbows, head still facing up towards you. Is she close enough to be kissed yet? ] This chance has finally come. You can go crazy and everything.
no subject
Don't regret it, now. [and she'll lean forward, still smirking. How accommodating of you...]
no subject
Spritzee doesn't mind at all. You look so cute and comfortable with your green leaves and your pink flowers! She sings away. Swadloon, getting into it, begins clapping out the rhythm with the ends of his blanket. ] Swad. Swad.
[ Haruka and Michiru are getting romantic accompaniment for their kiss, apparently.
where's "lulu" when you need her]no subject
Togepi sleepily starts waving her arms to the beat, sort of like...a Metronome.]
no subject
[ Haruka is oblivious, however. She's too busy propping herself up and kissing Michiru. It'd be a shame to settle down quickly after she traveled all this way up to see her partner. ]
no subject
Michiru is certainly enjoying the kiss, though she falters as a sense of foreboding runs down her spine. Wait, something is - ]
Toge!
[and then the ground is rumbling and this shaking feels much too familiar. With a loud cracking sound, the ground almost seems to shift as the field of flowers suddenly sports a jagged Fissure.
Oops?]

Seriously, this one wasn't on Haruka. She starts when she feels the first vibrations, ready to roll and drag Michiru down with her if need be. Spritzee, left to fend for herself, ends up flat on her back to one side of the Fissure, shaken and dizzy and very confused. What.....what.....
Why??
Haruka
is immune to Ground attackscatches her breath first. Did that really originate where she thinks it did? ] .....Past her bedtime?no subject
When she finally gets the chance to look up...that is definitely a Fissure, with a crying eggbaby sitting right at the start of crack in the earth. That was loud and scary!]
...that's one way to put it.
[and well. Better get up and pick up the eggbaby.]
no subject
...and then she spots Spritzee. Oi, oi. Natto managed not to faint this time (gasp!) but he did roll himself completely into a blanket ball. He peeks out and then nudges Spritzee. Hey, get up. It's over. ] Swad.
[ Haruka sighs. She still has no idea there's a braid in her hair. ] We were overstaying our welcome anyway.
no subject
If we didn't before, we certainly have now.
[the denizens of this place probably won't like the liberties they've taken with the decor. At least the baby is down to hiccuping instead of outright crying?]
no subject
[ Spritzee's wing twitches. Babies aren't supposed to be able to do that. It isn't fair. Haruka stands, dusting petals off herself. ] All set?
[ The last thing she wants is for baby to go off again in the middle of the city; if this were anyone but you, she'd be lecturing you on the importance of keeping your Pokémon in check, but she knows Michiru will find a way to teach baby to never, ever do...whatever she just did...with people around. Why are all their children dangerous, anyway?
No, wait. Hotaru isn't their child. That's absurd. ]
no subject
'Sup, Spritzee? Those are some heavy hooves coming perilously close to your head. And the temperature might be going up a bit as she snorts at the pink bird. Hey, get up!]
More or less. [she still seems pretty concerned about the baby, and keeps rubbing her back soothingly. That was...Metronome, wasn't it?
Michiru has completely forgotten about your braid, however.]
no subject
[ Swadloon inclines his head (and therefore all of himself) in Vivace's direction. Thanks! He knew you could do it. ] Loon.
[ Haruka will begin to slowly steer Michiru out of the Flower Grove by placing a hand around her partner's back, though she too is looking down at baby in concern. ] She even scared herself, huh.
[ This serious face probably doesn't go well with said forgotten braid, now curling towards the sky thanks to incorporating her ahoge. ]
no subject
And Michiru will follow, almost absentmindedly. Baby, on the other hand, looks like she's about to doze off. All that crying must have been exhausting.]
And everybody else. [hah] I don't think she'll be trying that again anytime soon.
[but they might want to avoid anything with strong beats. And the problem with babies is that they aren't quite as amenable to logic, so this might take a couple of days of working in places with fewer things to destroy.
A glance at you and...she should really tell you about that braid, huh?]
no subject
[ Haruka bends down to be more at baby's eye level. All tuckered out now, huh? She gives Minuet a paternal smile, braid bobbing as her head ducks closer. ] Growing up's hard.
[ Welcome, baby, to the "I punched a hole in the ground" club. Haruka doesn't even know she's president yet. ]
no subject
It would be nice if there were fewer explosions involved. [present company included.
...how does your hair even do that? It's tempting to just leave it, but. Well, there's a difference when it's just her being quietly amused at you, as opposed to other people.
Michiru carefully shifts baby onto one arm and reaches over to undo that braid. Heh.]
no subject
....oh. She grins at Michiru, and from the look on her face she hasn't forgotten for one second where they left off because of baby's new trick. This lull gives Swadloon a chance to catch up to Vivace and Spritzee, too. Goodbye, flowers! He will make sure to turn the fallen petals he's harvested into beautiful art.
Haruka's nose bumps Michiru's. Thank you. ]
no subject
...Vivace is starting to wonder how long it's going to take to get out of here.]
no subject
This is the first Spritzee has noticed of such behavior in humans, so she'll fly around their heads in curiosity. Isn't that sweet! She's so charmed by the sight she'll begin emitting perfume. ] Spritz spri!
[ Haruka's lips slip off of Michiru's. She smiles. ] Let's go.
