[The camera wobbled in and out of focus for anyone who happened to tune in that morning, and close observers would catch a glimpse of movement-- of trees, and of a very curious pair of eyes, glimmering in excitement, peering into the feed.]

--Tama-san, [A voice, a young man, said in an almost chiding tone.] I know you're excited, but you don't need to hang. all. over. me.

[He swung his arms, trying to free himself from from Tama's grip, but the momentum of the movement threatened to throw the both of them off balance.

Defeated, Rei stopped and sighed wearily.]

Alright, we can stop for a snack, although you'll lose your appetite at this--

[He broke off mid-complaint, eye widening when he noticed that the camera feed was live.

The moment of surprise, however, was short lived. Rei fussed with his glasses, suddenly adopting a cool, composed demeanor now that he realized that he had been noticed.]



Don't worry-- nothing's going on. We know exactly what we're doing.

[--The composed aura didn't last for long. A Mantyke, still young, fully appeared on screen and tackled the young man.

...Clearly, it didn't want lunch. It wanted to play.]

[While Tama was indeed adorable, it was also easy to forget that both Mantyke and Human weighed the same amount. Normally this was no problem...except when Tama decided to hang all over Rei's head.

Like it was at that moment. Sometimes the Mantyke acted like he was a much smaller creature.

Glasses askew, Rei found the video feed and grinned in embarrassment when he realized what all had been seen.]

Thanks. It was a happy accident that has been an adventure ever sense!

It seems like your friend there thinks the same thing you do, looks like she likes you a lot

[he can't help but laugh, covering his mouth]

Maybe you can try telling your Matyke that you're not big or strong enough to carry her around all over the place?

I tried-- Tama seems to think that it'll be no problem once we get in the water...

[he tilts his head thinking]

that actually might be true! But she should learn to stay off of you when outside of the water

I've tried that-- he's just impatient.

[merameranomi]

[he laughs]

that's adorable really.... though it's a good thing he likes you this much, and besides you seem like you make an awesome pair!

You really think so?

[Except...stranger. The mantyke is a water type..and Rei can't swim.]

Yup! From what I see it seems like he'd be the kind that would help you out in whatever you do

[he's just really happy to see someone be so close with their pokemon, because it's adorable]

[...It was. Despite his qualms about the water, Rei found that he did find Tama to be quite lovely to watch when he was swimming through the waves, and he knew that the young pokemon shared his eagerness to learn about the world.

Smiling, Rei nodded in agreement with the stranger's words.]

I think so too,, and I can't wait for us to get everything in order so we can do a little eploring of our own!

[Ace smiles fondly, thinking back at the times when his friends were still small, and curious about everything]
