[The Fletchling looks at Arado. The purple-haired young man is staring at the transmitter that he is cradling in his hand, with his Fletchling floating by his head. He hasn't used something like this so freely before and he's a little amazed. Part of him wants to throw it, to see if he'll get in trouble.]

[He refrains. Barely.]

Hi, wonderful and amazing people of Union! Your city's named after a word! It's pretty lucky, if you ask me. What's Union about? It's about... uh... unionery! Yeah, totally.

[NAILED IT.]

Anyways, my name is Arado. And I guess there's things I'm supposed to tell you and they're important or something but priorities, guys! 'Cause...

[His stomach rumbles. Audibly. The feed shakes a little.]

I'm pretty hungry.

[Arado taps his finger against his chin.]

I like hamburgers! And hot dogs! Oh, man those are so good. But I could also eat a chicken sandwich or maybe curry and you know, fried rice goes great with curry! But a ketchup sandwich is perfect with fried rice!

[His eyes light up.]

But it's at least twelve hours before or after breakfast, so... BREAKFAST! Pancakes and eggs and bacon and sausage and biscuits and cheese and butter! Waffles! SYRUP!

But maybe lunch so sandwiches! A sandwich sandwich, where the sandwich is between -- wait for it -- the sandwich!

Oh man, but dessert too! I should throw on some cupcakes and some cookies and some cake and like creme brulee and ice cream!

You're not going to find about half of that. Meat's kind of a rarity around here.

Oh, I guess I don't know if you're from Caldera or one of the smaller settlements around, though.

Hey, I've been to Caldera before!

[He nods a little dumbly.]

Their food is so spicy but it's great. You ever have any?

I had some, but I don't think I got any of the really spicy stuff.

[No Rise you just killed your own tastebuds the last time you tried to make something spicy.]

I'll have to go back and try it when there's less of a war happening.

That does make travel kinda hard, huh? Caldera's pretty nice, though. They treated me pretty well. I wouldn't mind visiting again sometime.

I'll definitely head back there at some point myself!

If you would like to eat, there are plenty of options available in the city, though largely vegetarian.

I love vegetarian stuff, too! A lot of what I had before was bread and there was some meat and stuff.

[He laughs awkwardly.]

Meat... is not classified as vegetarian, generally. The people of Union are somewhat reluctant to consume Pokemon, for understandable reasons.

[As a dragon, Tiki finds their attitude understandable, though not so easy on her stomach.]

A world without meat... that could be kinda hard. I mean, you know, sometimes you look at a Pokémon and it's like "aw, that's my little buddy!" and sometimes it's more like "goes great with sauce!"

And it's nothing personal, it's just... Magikarp look delicious.

[He sighs.]

I'll adjust! I'll adjust. I like onions, anyways. And tomatoes. And potatoes. And apples. And oranges. And mangos. And grains. And bread. And grapes. And cherries. And pears. And peaches. And--

[.......Tiki will let this go on for a few moments before gently interrupting.]

Are you... feeling well? You seem very energetic...

[His ramble trails off, and he looks not really concerned but maybe confounded.]

I don't look sick, do I?

You sound... feverish.

It may be helpful to lie down for a bit... If you need food, I would be happy to bring some for you.

I-I don't think I have a fever! Oh man, how do I tell if I have a fever?

[Things he hasn't had to worry about before!]

You'd bring me some food, though? That would be greaaaat!

[Oooor maybe this is just what he's like normally. Tiki is beginning to wonder if maybe his problem is actually minor insanity.]

You... don't know what a fever is? Your forehead would feel warm to others - but you would feel chills from the change in body temperature.
