[Setsuna doesn't make many posts to the Warp Band. Responses, sure, but not many posts of her own. Today you will find her at the Habitat, Water level. She is standing next to a supposedly new face: a Slowking. You might also notice Setsuna looks a little different as well, darker skin and hair than before and more intense eyes. The changes are subtle though, so they might be overlooked.]

I wanted to show the results of one of the items I brought back from Caldera. Lethe was exceptionally interested in the King's Rock when I showed it to her. After some trial and error I traded her with Haruka's assistance and...well here we are. This is Lethe, evolved into Slowking. Say hello Lethe.

[Lethe waves cheerfully, sticking her head up with pride. She wobbles slightly though, clearly still not used to the weight of the large crown on her head.]

Thank you again for your help in discovering this, Haruka.

She is not the only one to experience evolution either. Recently I felt a great rush of power myself. I have not experimented with the limit of my powers yet, but I believe Slowking and I will be practicing here. If anyone is interested, I do not mind having the company.

[Lethe beams and bobs her head with enthusiasm. She's going to be the best Slowking you've ever SEEN! She's certainly not as slow as she once was, that's for sure.]

I believe she's excited to try.

[definitely not as slow. It's apparent, seeing how Lethe had already reacted to Michiru's query.]

I can see her holding court over the others. [Michiru is definitely interested in what Lethe can do though, considering how they share a typing.]

You mean in one of the plays or among the other pokemon I've bonded with? Because she's smarter, but I'm not sure Lethe wants the responsibility of ruling over everyone. She's rather relaxed.

[Lethe, though, holds her head up as regally as she can. She remembers Michiru and Haruka's performances enough to make the attempt look fairly good.]

Easy going or not, it looks like she's already got the bearing for it. [right, Lethe?]

[Lethe nods. Affirming Michiru's statement. Setsuna smiles, putting her hand affectionately on the crown.]

I see. We have some training to do then to make sure you are ready.

[heh. What a sweetie.]

How long will you be there? I might drop by myself.

At least for a few hours. Maybe longer if I decide to go visit with my other Pokemon.

Then I guess I'll see you in a bit.

[and true to her word, Michiru shows up. Almost immediately, Gyarados and Milotic pop out of the water to greet their Trainer.]

[Setsuna smiles pleasantly when she sees Michiru approaching the water. It's always nice to be reminded she has friends now. Lethe takes it a step further and waves enthusiastically. Cheerful as ever despite having evolved.

Setsuna looks over her shoulder at the Gyarados and Milotic that appear out of the water.]

This is turning into a play date I see.

Hello there. [gosh, Lethe is cute.

A chuckle.] I hope you don't mind. They could make things more interesting, if you want.

[and she's going over to the edge of the pool to pet Gyarados' crest and to rub that one particular point right above Milotic's eyebrow.] And hello to you too. Have you been good?

[there's a low rumble of agreement from Gyarados, but Milotic is pretty sure she's above answering such questions.]

[Setsuna shook her head.]

No, it's quite all right. I think it will be fun. Lethe doesn't often get to compete with other pokemon.

[Lethe nuzzled up against Setsuna in response to seeing Michiru pass affection on to her own partners. Setsuna smiled kindly and rubbed behind Lethe's head at the base of the crown.]

[that's it, Lethe. Don't let yourself be cheated out of pets!]

Did you have anything in mind? [judging from size alone, Milotic might be the better sparring partner, but Michiru isn't going to presume anything just yet. It's your show, after all.]

I was planning on going through the different areas of pokemon stats: attack, defense, speed, etc. Also seeing if her psychic signature has changed due to evolution would be interesting.

So...perhaps we can start with attack. Are their targets in the Water area we can utilize?

They've got dummies in the storage area. [probably. In any case, Michiru nods towards a room on the side before walking over towards it.

There are quite a few of them in there, along with different sorts of hoop targets, flotation devices, and weights. At least everything looks to be waterproof.]

Let's begin there then.

[Setsuna follows her and begins examining some of the items.]

I think another interesting exercise might be to see how fast they can move with these weights. We could gauge speed and strength that way.

What do you usually train with, Michiru?

I usually give them a basic run through with these things, and then I'll give them sparring partners to see if we need to work on anything in particular. [either herself or other Pokemon.

Heh. She'll glance at the hoops before unearthing a test dummy for Lethe.]

I used to like hanging the hoop targets from the ceiling, but they've outgrown those. [Gyarados has literally outgrown them and Milotic can levitate now, so there's no point.]

[She nods, smiling slightly as she gathers a few items of her own to take out to Lethe.]

Our pokemon certainly are growing up fast. You sound a little nostalgic.

[a quiet chuckle] Maybe a little, but I'm very proud of them.

[it's probably that mothering instinct of hers]

There's no reason you shouldn't be. [Having now collected what she thinks will be appropriate she turns and goes back out to the pools.]

So what would you like to start with Lethe?

[The Slowking considers the questions and waddles over to start looking at the equipment that Setsuna brought out. It's all apparently very interesting to her.]

[and Michiru follows, bringing the dummy with her.]

There are quite a few options.

[and she'll set up the dummy, so it won't move too much if hit.]

[Lethe finally holds up a dummy and takes it back to Setsuna, offering it to her partner. She wants to practice hits it seems. She has to be able to attack in order to help Setsuna, right?]

We can work with this then.

[Setsuna gestures for Lethe to get into the pool and works on setting the dummy up.]

[Michiru will move to the side of the pool, sitting and dangling her feet in the water even as her Milotic swims up to her for pets. Gyarados, on the other hand, slides back to make room for Lethe and watches curiously.]

[The dummy is positioned and Setsuna steps back to observe. Lethe hops in the pool and swims out to the center of the pool for some distance from the target.

Setsuna signals for Lethe to begin and the Slowking fires several Water Pulses at the dummy attempting to knock it over.]
