Yo.
[ Here's Haruka Tenoh's face on your Warp Band. Don't worry - she'll pause and grin long enough for the imaginary theme music to subside. ]
Gaming news today. The Rhyhorn arena's hosting a big Pokémon race. If it runs, and you can fit on it, you're welcome to participate, though there'll be other races for the smaller ones too.
We'll be putting up flyers with the details. [ It's hard to read the flyer that's being waved about onscreen, however. Probably because the Pokémon doing the waving isn't much bigger than the flyer itself. ] Sewa!
[ ...Yes, you're a big help. Haruka slowly pushes Sewaddle out of the frame. ] I'll be seeing you all in the wind this time, kittens.
[ A wink, and she's gone. Why is it always her. Why is she always the one doing advertisements? Could it be she's a naturally gifted salesman? Is this her true calling?
She doesn't want that... ]
[ action ]
[ As promised, Haruka and her Sewaddle are plastering the town with flyers - or, well, Sewaddle is putting them up at bug-level with silk while Haruka wanders around with another pile tucked under her arm. Every now and then she hands one out.
You could also encounter one of the following pairs of Pokémon helping to advertise elsewhere:
-- A Murkrow slapping people in the forehead with flyers to get their attention while a Cubchoo tugs on others' shirt hems and bashfully offers a flyer with a quivering "Cub?".
-- A Pidgeotto dropping flyers much more gently than Murkrow while a Rotom looks on in amazed admiration. Mother is so clever.
Or, if you're a Divine Theater member, you can meet Haruka collapsed in a mess hall chair after the fact! Sewaddle is fanning her with a folded-up flyer. He is innovative. ]

Togepi gives out a distressed little tooo, looking at the paper with some confusion. Then she steps forward, holding it out determinedly, and--
Trips.]
Pii! Piiii!
[Look at the little egg, rocking back and forth on the ground as she tries so hard to get back up.]
no subject
[ Oh, no, was that his fault?! You were just trying to help! Sewaddle rolls Togepi over on the ground so she's on her back facing him, trying to figure out how to tug her back up. Does it hurt anywhere? Would a leaf make it better?
Haruka notices the commotion and turns. ] What're you...
[ ...oh, good grief. ]
no subject
[Togepi flails her little limbs in the air, rocking harder now she's on her back. She doesn't know how to get up, this always happens, but it's okay! The big one will help her!
...Anders, meanwhile, is only a few steps behind and watching. He's not helping her yet. She has to learn eventually, and besides, it's a little bit funny. And the Espurr on his shoulder seems mostly disinterested for now.]
Don't worry, she's alright. This happens a lot.
[about once every few minutes, actually.]
no subject
No, that's ridiculous. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of Espurr in the city. It's silly to think that one looks familiar. ] You should keep her out of crowds if she's at an awkward age.
[ This observation is made somewhat absently, however. Haruka is now also interested in seeing whether Togepi can stand on her own. Sewaddle reaches for her hand and Haruka steps forward. He stops. ] Don't. Let her try.
Sewaaaa... [ But it's his fault....Oh, maybe he should make something extra nice for her as a reward while she gets up. Somewhat downcast, Sewaddle begins sticking leaves together. Has he got a petal from Lulu on him? ]
no subject
He doesn't say anything, though. He's busy watching the little egg, who is rocking back and forth still, gradually increasing her speed, until--
Yes! She's rocked all the way onto her little feet. She stands there wobbling for a moment, before finding her balance, and then she promptly jumps in the air excitedly.]
Toge, toge, piiiii!
[Anders smiles at that:] I knew you could do it, little one.
no subject
Sewaddle, however, is even more excited. He has created a little "You Did It" medal out of a single rose petal and three leaves. Spitting a tiny glob of silk onto the back, he presents it to Togepi and attempts to affix it to her shell. Nice and gentle, so she doesn't fall over again... ] Waddle wa!
[ If only he also had confetti. ]
no subject
[She's confused at first by this leafy badge of honor, but only briefly, before she's getting excited. You really think she did good??
And um. If those are your leaves, shouldn't you keep them? Is this okay?
Anders crouches down behind Togepi, steadying her with a hand to keep her from falling over again (the Espurr hops down at that, looking at the two pokemon and then up at Haruka - hey, she knows you).]
Looks like you've made another friend.
Toge?
[really?]
no subject
Sewaddle notices the cat too, now that they're all on the same level. It's okay, he has lots of leaves. He gathers them to give them away, and on special occasions he makes them into badges like that. Does this Espurr want a leaf too? ] Sewa sewa?
[ That's not going to end well. Haruka clears her throat and nods at Espurr. ] I think I remember that pretty face. The fon Fabre party?
no subject
Haruka is more interesting, anyway. She gave her food the last time, after all. She lets out an agreeable meow, standing up on her hind legs to paw at Haruka's pants, going from disinterested to endearing in .5 seconds.]
You know my little queen?
no subject
[ Unfortunately, she is currently fresh out of food, so while the Espurr gets a rather knowing smile there's nothing in her pockets. ] Does she wander by herself a lot?
[ Meanwhile, Sewaddle is looking rather glum. She doesn't want a leaf. But....what about a petal? He has petals. He draws a few of them out and tosses them in the air. Togepi got her confetti after all, apparently. ] Sewa wa!
no subject
Pii!
[You'll lose them!
Espurr just ignores them, curious for now about Haruka. She looks like she's considering jumping up on her shoulder.]
She's always gone where she wants. She probably knows Union better than I do.
no subject
Sewaddle is touched by Togepi's considerate nature. Do you want them? You can keep them. Or we can make something together for your friend the Espurr. She might appreciate it more if you were involved, since you share a Trainer. ] Sewaddle wad sewa?
no subject
[But she does a lot without telling him, so what does he know? He's never even pretended to keep track of his kitty when she wanders off on her own.
And she's estimating distance, now. Leaning back a little, eyes on Haruka's shoulder aaaand-- She jumps. And lands easily with no regard for whether or not she's wanted there and whether Haruka was prepared for the sudden weight of an Espurr.
Togepi, though, is mostly confused. Make something?] Pii?
no subject
[ Meanwhile, Haruka is discovering that cats will be cats. ] There's a first time for -
[ And that would be a cat on her shoulder. She blinks, looks at the cat for a moment, then turns back to Anders. ] Is that a yes?
[ Your Pokémon. You'd know better than she would. ]
