The time for action is at hand, and the players have been set in place. Those who choose to make an attempt at diplomacy head off at the appointed time to meet with Valeria, the clerk and representative of the general who leads the Gigas army. Those who wish to take more direct action against Gigas leave with General Ironbrand to put their plans into motion. In the meantime, the refugees continue to stream into Union, while supplies are gathered and flow the other way.

The outcome of this war may very well depend on the combined results of these four efforts…

((This log will be a catch-all for all four efforts of the attempt to save Caldera. There will be four different parts of this post: Diplomacy, Aggression, Refugees, and Supplies. The first two should be well established, but the Refugees portion will encompass bringing those in Caldera who require help to Union and giving them medical aid and care, while the Supplies portion will encompass people in Union setting up shelters and gathering resources to send back to Caldera, as well as other miscellaneous tasks that may be of help. Gathering resources may entail leaving Union to explore out in other areas. You all signed up for groups, so please try to maintain these groups when posting, particularly to the Diplomacy and Aggression sections. The other two may be more free-form.

Mods will be responding at least once every 24 hours to keep the logs moving.

EDIT 5/31: Please try to group up if possible! We'll generally try to wait for threads to have 2-3 people before we jump in. Threads with 3+ may attract the attention of something a little more... interesting.))

[Lea approaches his prey, each swish of his tail making a loud "fwoosh" sound, like a torch in the wind. His lips are drawn back in a snarl]

Mercy?

[What a stupid request it was. Lea felt no compassion for these people. They were going to hunt down Roxas. They were going to give them both over to be experimented on, and probably kill their pokémon if they had been captured.

... Ah. Their pokémon. If he burned these fools alive, their pokémon would perish as well. He reduces the flames so that they won't pass out, but it rages too hot to be passed]

You pieces of garbage. If you release your pokémon right now, I'll let you go.

[The men scramble over themselves to throw out their Pokeballs and release their Pokemon, who flee the scene almost immediately]

Good, good. [Lea peers into the flame. He doesn't see any more of those accursed devices.

But he doesn't drop the flames. Instead, he smirks a bit]

Too bad, though. I'm a dirty, rotten liar. Say hello to your maker for me. [the ground rumbles ominously just below the feet of the beleaguered soldiers. Lea snaps his clawed fingers, and the ground encircled by the flame buckles. Lava erupts out, melting a hole in the ground and consuming the soldiers until there's nothing left.

The flames die down and Lea looks at his handiwork; a scorched mess on the ground, and rapidly cooling molten earth leaving just a bumpy oddity in the road. His fiery wings vanish, and the flames on his body extinguish.

He makes his way back to his weapons. He scoops them up and places them on their holster on his back. He then takes a few more steps before his legs give out on him and he falls to the ground, unconscious]

[ After Roxas teleported away he found himself making his way starting to make his way back to where Lea was. Yes, Lea told him to run and he did. But he didn't want to keep running and leave Lea behind after he was out of initial danger. Be brought back out Sora so help him make his way back to the scene of the attack. And when he does-- ]

Lea!

[ He quickly closes the distance by teleporting over so he's right beside Lea and kneels down. He visibly frowns, realizing that he doesn't really have any Pokemon that can help him; all of them are too small for this kind of thing. So he turns to Sora who probably is the best Pokemon he has for the job. ]

We need to bring him back to Union.

[ There's a worried edge to the usual flat tone he's had for more than a year as he puts one of Lea's arm around his shoulder and lifts him up to the best of his ability and Sora helping with his feelers. ]

[getting back to Union would be easy enough; they just had to reach the warp tower. Lea doesn't weigh a whole lot, but he's lanky and tall, which makes him difficult to maneuver. And even if he's skinny as a rail, what weight he does have is all dead right now.

But like Pokéballs, warp bands are not infallible. With the immediate danger past, Lea's warp band begins to glow, and Jonesy appears in a bright light]

Leavaaa!!

[ she grabs a few pieces of scrap metal and wood from Lea's destructive evolution and starts lashing them together with silken web from her forelimbs. She pauses and points out other pieces to Roxas and Sora]

Naaa! Naa!!

[well, hurry up! She needs more stuff to make a proper skiff!]

[ A dead weight Lea is certainly hard to pick up a carry so when Jonesy comes out of her Pokeball Roxas is grateful. He nods his head and slowly puts Lea back down and summons Keeper from his warp band. She wasn't going to help with the preparations but it's a good idea to have someone keep an eye on Lea while they're gathering supplies right?

So after Keeper jingles understanding what she needs to do both Roxas and Sora start to help by bringing the pieces that Jonesy pointed out with Roxa working faster than Sora is only because he's teleporting about the place to make things go quicker. ]

[With all the skill expected of a crafts-mon, Jonesy works quickly and efficiently. Soon enough, she has created a sturdy, long skiff for Lea. The bottom isn't as smooth as it could be, but the sandy streets of Caldera should make him easier to drag.

She gestures to Lea, chirping insistently. He has to go ON the skiff, now! And she's not strong enough to do it herself! She grabs his legs and chirps again]

[ Roxas continues to give the materials necessary to finish it until it is finished. And once Jonesy gestures to Lea he nods and teleports right over to his friend and grabs his arms. Okay. Ready to lift when you are. ]

[1, 2, 3, hup! By their powers combined, it's not too hard to lift Lea's wiry frame onto the skiff. Jonesy fusses over him and wraps him to the sled with more silk, just so she knows he won't slip off. Then she lashes his ankles together. She sits for a moment, making three ropes of silk, then ties those to Lea's feet. She hands one to Roxas, one to Sora, and keeps one for herself. ]

Vaaaa!! Nnnyy!!

[she points to the tower, just a few blocks away. They have to hurry! Time to pull!]

[ Roxas and Sora both take the respective ropes that they've been given and Roxas nods his head. Sora? ]

[ Sora responds the best he can with voice before the two of them start pulling towards the tower as quickly as they could. In the meantime, Sora will keep his ears perked and alert in case anyone dares to try and come at them while they're working their way to the tower. ]

[then off they go! The skiff makes a pretty awful grinding sound against the road, at first, but then it seems to find its stride and slides easier. From there, they should be able to reach the tower easily]

[ Good because even though this is fairly easy getting all the way to the tower was still a lot of effort for poor Roxas. Boy really needs to get out there and exercise after this. ]
