Look Who Missed the Party
The thing about being on the road for a chunk of time like Ryuko's been, it means you miss out on a big chunk of local news. It gets even worse when your Warp Band communications drop out like hers had just the day before. At the time, she'd found it kind of annoying and weird but nothing worth getting bent out of shape about. Wasn't like she had anybody to talk to anyway.
At any rate, it meant that the sight of the damaged city and the bustling activity of workers was a bit of a surprise. But at least it meant that one new arrival to the city was going largely unnoticed as she wandered through town. True, the sight of a teenage girl carrying a large metal guitar case strapped to her back was a pretty uncommon one but there were more important things to worry about, right?
It's not until sometime later that she's come to a stop, leaning up against a wall and checking out of her new Warp Band that she plugs into the signal network, pulling up the video function.
"So, uh, I just got into town." She glances around and tosses something up and down in her free hand. A lemon. She catches it and lifts it to her mouth to take a bite out of it, skin and all, chews and swallows. "Kinda gettin' the feeling I missed something. What's the deal?"
[OOC: Intro post! Feel free to respond to her on video or run across her in person. She'll just be kinda out bumming around town for the time being.]

It was fair, at least. The blond didn't recognize the other girl's voice at first, too enveloped in what she was doing to register it. ]
One of the gods came and had a temper tantrum, then left before we could give it a good spanking.
[ You have a few seconds before she turns around
to runto react, Ryuko. ]no subject
Oh yeah? That sounds like a real--ghk!
[She doesn't register the voice right away either, but she does jump when she spots the blonde woman there working. Oh, shit, not her! What the hell is she even doing here?!]
Uh, right... that sucks. Okay, I'll just let you finish up there.
[Ryuko never runs from a fight. There's no challenge too big or too small that she won't stand firm and face it head on but... this is something else entirely. And something she will hastily begin retreating from
SHE DID NOT TRAVEL ALL THIS WAY AND FIGHT THROUGH ALL THESE DANGERS JUST TO DIE BY SUFFOCATION VIA GINORMOBOOBS!]
[1/2]
[ Was that some young kid slang? Excellen turned in what likely was the slowest, most excruciating few seconds of Ryuko Matoi's young adult life. ]
[2/2]
Ryuki?! Is that you!
[ Target acquired. You're not getting away, friend. ]
What are you doing here? I'm so happy to see you!
[ She descends. Run. Run fast. ]
no subject
She chooses poorly.]
I told you not to call me tha--
[She realizes her mistake too late. A shadow falls across Ryuko Matoi as she gazes up in terror. Excellen moves as fast as a striking snake and all hope is lost. Ryuko's lemon hits the ground and rolls away.

AAAAUUUGGH!!
[And then there's shoving and yelling.]
Get offa me, damnit!

Ryuki, did you come to help us out? You're so sweet! Who would've guessed? That makes me like you even more~
[ She nuzzles Ryuko's head with her cheek. Be thankful her Goodra isn't here to double the love. ]

She's pretty strong but Excellen must have some kind of mutant vice-hugging powers or something!]
You're gettin' the wrong damn idea! I didn't even know any of that shit was going down! [And then, suddenly, HOPE. She turns her head toward Kyosuke amid her struggles to escape from boob hell.] HEY! Hey, you! Get this psycho to let go o' me!
no subject
Well that's okay too, you can help out now that you're here!
[ It was cheerful, but said very much in a "You are Calderan and you will treat our allies with respect" sort of air to it. Ryuko might not have been a member of the Steel Battalion, but she at least had some respect, right?
If not, well.
You should probably do as she says, Ryuko. ]

Oh, yes, that subtle hint in Excellen's tone isn't missed. At least not if her sullen teenager glower is any indication. It only lasts for a second though before she's back to trying to squirm her way free of Excellen's death grip.]
Okay, okay, I got it! Just lemme go already!
no subject
Good! Then after a hard day's work, we can all get something yummy to eat.
[ You remember how good a cook she is, right Ryuki? ]
no subject
I-- [And then suddenly the air is filled by a MONSTROUS GROWL. No, that's not Kyurem coming back for round two, it's just Ryuko's stomach. ... Apparently, yes, she does remember how good a cook Excellen is.] ....
Hrmph. Well, you did make me drop my breakfast.
[Yeah, so you could at least make up for it. Totally... yeah.]
Skipping Kyosuke for a bit
Hearing the massive noise coming from the teen's stomach, Excellen grins knowingly. Yep. She's got you, hook, line and sinker. ]
So I did, so I did! I was just thinkin' about taking a break myself, and we're pretty close to Kyosuke's apartment. I can make us all brunch~
[ Yes she's just going to invite herself to use his kitchen like it ain't no thing. Excellen please. Kyosuke doesn't seem to mind, at least. ]
What do you say? Let your big sis make it up to you. Pretty please?
Re: Skipping Kyosuke for a bit
Since when am I callin' you that?
[That comes out a bit more of a mutter though. She can't even argue that Excellen's cooking is top notch and it's been forever since she's had a decent meal. Which is putting it lightly. She's starving. It definitely doesn't take long for the promise of food to wear down at the prickly wall she keeps up. Looks like food really is a good way to win over a stray.]
Hrm. [She glances toward Kyosuke as if waiting for any kind of protest. When there isn't one, she crosses her arms as if attempting to muffle her growling stomach.] Okay, in that case I guess I'll accept this one time.
no subject
[ She knew that Ryuko couldn't resist the siren song of free food. A smile quickly growing on her face, she clapped her hands together, head tilted to the side. Excellent! ]
Well, now that that's settled, let's go. Kyosuke's place isn't too far from here. And you can tell us why you're actually here.
[ Excellen wasn't dumb, no matter how much she teased and liked to let on that she might be. Ryuko seemed genuinely unaware of what happened here, and the girl had a strange way of being in the right--or, in some cases, wrong--place at the wrong time. ]
no subject
L-Like hell! You're the one latching onto me, ya weirdo!
[That implication didn't go unnoticed, even by her! She knows a thing or two about a thing or two. She's got that "affection" thing covered, sure, she's just... got her mind on other stuff, that's all.
All of that is a ridiculous lie.Whatever. She shrugs it off, hoping her arms are good enough to muffle another grumble from her stomach. Food aside, getting indoors sound kind of nice. She's dressed in her usual Calderan style of clothes and even with her favorite jacket this weather is not kind to any idiots out there in a skirt and a midriff-showing top.]
Yeah, fine, guess I can get off my feet for a little while. It's a boring story though.
[More like serious and possibly life-shaking, but saying that would mean letting on that she cares about stuff, and that's not something that can happen.]
no subject
That's okay, I don't mind.
[ It seemed that she was toning down her overbearing presence a bit, smiling contently at the teen. She didn't have to be bombastic 24/7, she could show a more controlled side too, you know. ]
no subject
Okay, you asked for it.
[Jamming her hands in her pockets, she shrugs a shoulder and tosses her head.]
Lead the way.
no subject
Hope you don't mind taking the stairs.
[ Leading the teen up to the fourth floor, Excellen produces a key and opens the door. The interior is very sparse, almost Spartan, the only pieces of furniture there for functionality. However, stepping further inside, it seems like the blond has brought in a few pieces to help make it feel a bit more like home and less like a military barracks. ]
Welcome to casa de Nanbu! Go ahead and make yourself comfy!
no subject
There's a small moment of hesitation just before she crosses through the door, glancing down at her feet before stepping across the threshold and inside, looking around.]
Right. Yeah. [She doesn't... actually make any kind of move to sit down or anything, though she does at least lift that case off her back to set down with a thud that seems a little heavier than it should for such a thing. She tosses a glance around. Sparse decorating isn't anything new to her, considering she's somebody whose possessions had never really amounted to any more than what could fit in a bunk anyway. Still, there seems to be a war going on between holding up that tough outer shell and at least kind of being a gracious guest.]
Uh... nice place.
whups got my threads mixed up
[Kyosuke leads them into the house and dons a surprisingly frilly white apron without a trace of embarrassment as he puts on some tea]
no subject
You don't have to be so uptight. Sit down, take a load off! You like tea right? They really like tea here. It's not as good as a strong cup of coffee, but it'll do in a pinch.
no subject
Never tried it. [She picks out a chair, spins it around backward and sits down on it backwards, folding her arms across the back and leaning on it. Her posture still isn't exactly screaming "relaxed" but at least she's off her feet.] Guess it can't be more boring than the rest of this food around here.
no subject
[ Excellen sits down as well, on a more comfortable-looking chair. She's been working all day, and while the chairs at the dining room table weren't terrible, she wanted something a bit more cushy. ]
You were gonna tell us why you suddenly blew in here. So? Spill the rice.
