The White Dragon
The people of Union have descended into the besieged city, doing everything in their power to aid the citizens of Glacier yet remaining within. Whether struggling against the invaders seemingly loyal to the White Dragon, or seeking out the injured and lost in need of aid, they take advantage of several hours of relative calm to do all they can. And for a time, it seems to be working - the invaders are not so very strong after all, not against the experienced Unionites who have surpassed everything from human armies to memories of gods.
But perhaps the might of the two combined is an altogether different challenge.
GRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAH!
The sensation is felt throughout the whole of the city, the rumbling of the earth itself enough to take down the more unstable buildings in its wake. From any point, at any height, all eyes are drawn to the monstrosity that has descended in the blink of an eye into the still-burning town center. A great, white dragon... Exactly as described by those who had escaped from the city.
Those with sharp eyes will see that standing beside it, there seems to be a human figure.
Its sheer presence is overwhelming. The air around it ripples with an aura of heat, but felt even more keenly than that, there is a devastating sense of raw power and control. This being... this god could burn down the entire earth if it wished. A city of Glacier's relative size... What chance did it possibly have? That the world yet remains standing seems almost a mercy. Its size is immense, its bulk several times larger than that of a Wailord, its height almost seeming to rival the tallest towers of Union, though perhaps this is an exaggeration of the mind.
It takes a step forward, and the earth shudders once more in its wake.
All across the frozen city of Glacier, every individual carrying a Warp Band will suddenly feel the device activate of its own accord as a video feed begins to play. Attempting to turn it off fails, and changing it doesn't seem to work either. Something, or someone, has hijacked the feed and is using it for their own announcement.
A tall, severe looking man stares into the feed, his lone eye seeming to burn with an unnatural fire. And beside him, only its lower body visible, stands the feet of the White Dragon, its fur outlined in crisp detail from this distance. The man gazes steadily forward, eyes yet alight with passion.
"So, it seems that this place has found someone to come to its aid. No matter, our plans will not be disrupted by insects like you. Still, it's good to know that there are humans left that understand the value of kinship with our fellow inhabitants of this world. It brightens my day, you might say, to know that my men have been facing honorable opponents, and not weak cowards that still cling to the old ways.
A pity that when we're done here, we'll have to come for you next. I won't lie to you and say we'll show you mercy, but at least your deaths will be swift."
He smiles then, a thin and grave expression.
Every fiber of those remaining in the city screams to flee from this threat. There is nothing they can do - they must retreat. But though their minds may instinctively beg for such a course of action, to do so means to abandon its people to a fiery demise. Can they truly run from this?
They must choose quickly... and this time, it is not a choice concerning a rabid creature, an angered and wild animal lashing out. This cold and calculated destruction, sanctioned by a god itself, so reminiscent of what was said to have happened in the past. To oppose it, perhaps, means to steer the course of history into terrible new waters. Choose quickly, people of Union. What answer will you find?
((Reshiram is a Legendary, and thus, the normal rules will not apply. It will be able to strike through abilities that would seemingly protect people, and analysts will not be able to sense its weaknesses. It radiates an aura of power that will inspire fear and awe in those who see it. Please be warned that there is a definite chance of injury when attacking this creature; however, despite all this, it is possible to defeat it.
Have fun! And enjoy some mood music.))

At the moment, her Golurk and Rhydon are in front of the group. Her Hydreigon and Dragonite are flanking her, and her Phantump, Bramble, is right beside her. However, he's prepared and uses Ingrain. Meanwhile, Morning Glory the Dragonite uses Safeguard.]

Rise's senses pick up some interesting information. The man's level is 100, and he possesses an unknown Enlightened ability. He has the Fire, Steel and Fairy typing, and all of the apparent power of a God of War, but he also seems to have the ability to forge powerful bonds with Pokemon and can summon them to his side through force of will. Additionally he appears to possess a strange mastery over Mega Evolution, and can exceed the normal limit of one Mega Evolution within a short span of time.

[Holy Savior.]
Okay, so...he's almost twice as powerful as any of us, and some kind of God of War who's also specialized in Mega Evolution. Is this guy even human...?
Well, if you're gonna try and hit him, use Ground or Water.
[She takes a deep breath.]
And distracting him will help Right talk to the god. So...Hagoromo! Himiko!
[Rise calls out her Swanna and her Gardevoir and has them add to the group's preparations, Hagoromo trying a Rain Dance and Himiko layering a Protect with Waltz's Light Screen.]
Everyone...let's hit that man with everything we've got so we can talk to the god. Okay?

[Lenna takes a deep breath, nodding at Rise's analysis. Water. That's fortunate. She's an old hand at using those types of attacks. Steeling her resolve, she aims a Hydro Pump attack at the man at the god's side. Playing backup for the moment, Siren attempts a Skill Swap to see if she can weaken him that way.]

Her Pokemon are in agreement with her, and little Bramble, her Phantump, floats forward to fight beside Primrose the Rhydon and Mimosa the Golurk.]
Bramble, sweetie...are you sure that's what you want to do?
Phan-tump! Pha-phan tump!
[Even people who don't understand Pokemon can still hear the determination in the little Ghost/Grass type's voice. Those who can understand will hear the little guy saying that he wants to fight beside Mimosa, his friend, and Primrose, who he's trained beside almost as long as he's been alive. Besides, he's got a plan. Pamela nods in his direction and he uses Destiny Bond on the man. Primrose uses Earthquake.]

Just like she would approach a Rhyhorn, she has Uranus rise up in front of Reshiram, allowing no surprises here. Not gonna attack you, gigantic awe-inspiring doom machine. Just want to get close enough for a conversation... ]

Right, meanwhile, is holding onto Haruka as they fly closer to the White Dragon. At least if their chat goes south, they got Miss Chansey to help patch them up. Not to mention, Right's counting on his type immunity to Dragon-type moves, just in case...
As soon as they're close enough, Right takes a deep breath.] My Lord! White Dragon! Why are you here? What has the people of Glacier done to rouse your anger?
no subject
Michiru will follow up on that Rain Dance with a Hydro Cannon of her own. Gardevoir sets up a Reflect for the team while Noivern nervously keeps watch, eyes flicking between the man and that really really impressive dragon god.]
no subject
I will not PERMIT you to harm my bondmate! DIE HERE!
The Skill Swap and Destiny Bond, when intercepted, fizzle completely against the might of the Dragon God. Mind Reader is somewhat more effective, Lucario definitely understands that the dragon means to make good on its promise of death. The power of its mind and fury is so overwhelming, the strain of touching it even for an instant sends Lucario sprawling. The rain is immediately and instantly halted by a sizzling bright sun as it engulfs the entire area in Blue Flame, looking to extinguish everyone all at once.]

Siren, you've done more than enough! Come back!
[Recalling the heavily injured Fairy with her Warp Band, as her Aqua Ring begins to knit her wounds, Lenna decides to fight fire with fire. Out comes Ifrit the Darmanitan, ready and willing to lend its massive hands to the battle.]
Ifrit... Belly Drum!
[Preparing for an assault of its own, the eager Fire type begins beating its chest, psyching itself up for an attack. The rhythm almost sounds like war drums, and may help the others gather their resolve as well.]
no subject
It's a real Bond. That human didn't enslave the God, he earned its loyalty. So: ] Fall back! Everyone!!
[ She shouts to be heard over Belly Drum. Sorry, Lenna. Haruka is bad at going with the flow, and she has no interest in fighting a God that is specifically upset at them. Regrouping to form a different plan looks good right about now.
Uranus, though, is still struggling to keep purchase in the air, so if Right wanted to try one more time, he'll have a chance. ]

[Rise made a terrible, terrible mistake because of a stupid assumption.]
[It's her job - her only job - to give tactical advice and she--]
[Rise fails to get out of the way of the Blue Flare in time, but fortunately Hagoromo has the wherewithal to cover her with her Fire-resistant wings. Unfortunately, the sheer power of the move overwhelms Hagoromo, knocking her out. Himiko, for her part, is protected, but she knows she's not going to stand up to that much Fire-power again.]
Hagoromo...no...
[Unable to quite think through the shock - he bonded a god? Even with that ability? - Rise reflexively sense the Swanna home and brings out Toyo, who immediately rings her Heal Bell to remove any Burns inflicted by that assault.]
I...this is wrong. Why did I say to fight? You can't fight a god...
[Please hold, your Risette is resetting.]
no subject
Right, meanwhile, is glad that Haruka's got a hold of his collar, because that fire attack plus the mental fury was almost enough to knock him off of Uranus. This guy, who wants the world to burn...he gets to bond with a God? That asshole is the first human to make friends with such a powerful being?
That...that's horrible. It's not fair!]
...why? Why him? [And the following was shouted via Echoed Voice.] Why would you bond with someone like him?!
no subject
If we're regrouping, we better make it fast.
[because that god might not let them go.
Gardevoir, spurred on by her Trainer, sends a Heal Pulse towards Ifrit the Darmanitan. Noivern screeches, light emanating from her as she uses Agility.]
no subject
Even so, it's painful and she doesn't want to rouse the god's anger too much. But she can agree with Right's sentiment. Why him? How did a person like that earn the loyalty of a god? She steps forward and bows respectfully toward the god.]
Honored dragon, we came here to protect the lives of Glacier's residents - human and Pokemon alike. I don't understand how your bondmate can threaten the lives of entire communities while talking about kinship with other inhabitants of this world. In wiping them out, you will wipe out innocent beings along with whomever has given offense.
[Thistle, her Hydreigon, nudges her and encourages her to get on his back so they can leave. She climbs on, but continues to face the god. Honestly, she's terrified, but she's also been trained as a diplomat.]
We would like to talk with you and understand, but we'll leave at once if you want us out of your sight.

A thunderclap heralds the arrival of yet another god, striking at Reshiram and driving it back.
My master has ordered that the old war be extinguished. I am bound to obey. Come, humans, for you face the fury of your extinction. Stand and fight or flee now. Likely your presence will be of no use anyway.

Haruka, everyone...let's prove these gods wrong about us! [Right extends a Helping Hand to his Diggersby.] Yami, bury that dragon!
[The Diggersby looks at the gods, looks at Right...and then shakes his head to snap himself out of the shock before unleashing Mud Shot at the white dragon.]
no subject
[Lenna's eyes are ablaze with a passion and a fire that she hasn't displayed in months.]
Ifrit... let's go.
[The Darmanitan roars and grins back at its Trainer as the two take off running headlong, straight toward the god. Lenna activates Outrage, her fingernails lengthening into sharp claws as she tears into Reshiram with her full force. And at the same time, her Fire-type companion collides with the god in a Belly Drum enhanced Superpower attack. Even though it's not explicitly weak to Fighting, a hit that hard should definitely hurt.]
no subject
Nocturne. [the Noivern dives, taking advantage of her boosted speed as the aura of a Dragon Pulse begins gathering in her open mouth. Michiru powers up another Hydro Cannon in her hands, only vaguely aware of how tightly her Gardevoir is holding on.
There. Both attacks are sent hurtling towards Reshiram.]
no subject
Uranus is sweeping very low, actually. Low enough for Haruka to let go of Right, take a deep breath, flash a look over to Michiru so she knows where her partner is, and jump.
She'll worry about their divine assistance later. Right now, she's trying to slam an Earthquake right between the enemy's eyes. ]
no subject
[Standing up and wiping tears off of her eyes, Rise holds up her right arm, holding a bracelet and a gemstone she'd been keeping in reserve.]
Okay...right. There's gods on both sides here. Sure, why not.
[She takes a deep breath, and forces a smile.]
Looks like we're gonna have to use that, guys. You ready?
Devoir! Bliss!
[With a quick and probably unnecessary pose, Himiko transforms into Mega Gardevoir, floating serenely in front of her, alongside Toyo, poised and ready to attack in spite of their fear. Rise shouts up toward the dragon.]
I'm sorry! We got off on the wrong foot! But right now, we need the fighting to stop, so we're going to help the Thunder God, okay? Dragon god...
To our! De! -iii-
Song! Voir! ssey!
[Rise's two Pokémon unleash a synchronized wall of sound at Reshiram, in the form of Hyper Voice from Toyo and a Pixilated Hyper Voice from Himiko.]
no subject
Mimosa. Morning Glory. Get ready.
[Mimosa uses Earthquake on Reshiram while Morning Glory uses Dragon Rush.]
no subject
PERISH ALL!
The Blue Flame again springs to life as it overwhelms the area and a burst of powerful Fusion Flare descends upon the team to crush them beneath intense flame.
no subject
[Unfortunately, that's all he gets out of his mouth before he and his Pokemon get side-swiped by that Fusion Flare. Thankfully, Miss Chansey didn't need an order to start dispensing Softboiled eggs to everyone; this is too much a life-or-death situation for her to be fussing about near-strangers eating her eggs.
Should Uranus, Haruka's Salamence, remain airborne after that fiery attack, Right will draw up all the strength he's got left, and mutters a prayer.] Ye Gods who are with us...let us not fail in this! Metronome!
[And that Metronome comes out as...Giant Spider Webs that covers the dragon in an attempt to pin it down.]
