video or action for theater
[screen flickers on, showing an intense looking Michiru who's...wearing a bathrobe, a towel around her head, and looking kinda damp. She also has a wet Bidoof by the scruff, held close to the camera and as far away from her body as possible. Judging by that uneven blinking, Bidoof might be shaking off the last vestiges of a sudden KO.]
Is anybody looking for a side job? I'll pay you to babysit this one, by the hour, for as many hours as you'd like.
[Bidoof wiggles, swinging a bit from Michiru's steely grip.] Doof.
[Michiru's smile could probably kill, if she put a little bit more effort into it.]

[Bidoof wiggles, swinging a bit from Michiru's steely grip.] Doof.
[Michiru's smile could probably kill, if she put a little bit more effort into it.]

Except, who was he to say no to a woman (or pokemon) in need?]
Wow. It looks like you've got some mess on your hands.
no subject
Persistence isn't always a virtue.
[Bidoof protests, wiggling a bit.] Doooof!
no subject
He scratched his cheek, regarding the protesting, wiggling pokemon.]
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. What all's going on with the little guy?
no subject
Like a bath, judging from the contextual clues presented in the video.]
And I believe he would greatly benefit from having a dedicated caretaker. [in other words, even her Pokemon are getting tired of running interference.]
no subject
[He sighed, not unsympathetically.]
I don't think I'm the guy to volunteer to be a full time nanny for the little guy, but maybe I could try talking to him for you?
no subject
Please, if you would. He certainly doesn't listen to anything I say. [instead, Bidoof just gets this disturbingly dreamy eyed look whenever she talks. Like the way his eyes are glazing over right now.]
no subject
Where would you like to meet? [He asked, scratching his head.] It's a little awkward talking like this, and you look like you were in the middle of something.
no subject
How about in front of the Habitat, in about half an hour? [it's probably a central enough location.
She sighs a little, but offers Daisuke a (nicer) smile.] I apologize, I don't believe I caught your name. I'm Michiru.
no subject
[He smiled.]
And that sounds good. I'll be seeing you in a half hour, then. Later.
[And, with that he signed off.
...True to his word, Michiru would also find him waiting at the location when she arrived, leaning up against the wall with his hands in his pockets as if he had all the time in the world.]
no subject
It's a pleasure to meet you in person. [aand that smile turns into a grimace when Bidoof tries to rub against her ankles like a cat.]
Excuse me. [and she's reaching down and grabbing the doof by the scruff again.
Vacant eyes blink slowly at you.]
no subject
[He smiled and stepped closer, holding his hands out before him.]
Mind if I hold the little guy?
no subject
[Michiru would hand over the doof in a heartbeat. Less.
Bidoof doesn't seem to be at all aware that an exchange is taking place.]
no subject
Alright, little guy. Let's have a chat-- you feeling up to that?
no subject
Michiru just studies this, trying to see if there's any technique to learn.]
no subject
[Dai tightened his grip on the wriggling pokemon, brows furrowing in interest.]
I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand.
no subject
...he's gonna try and scratch at your arm, now.]
no subject
no subject
Michiru looks concerned, but is still pleasantly oblivious to Bidoof's side of the conversation.] Are you alright?
no subject
[He grabbed the 'doof by the scruff of his neck and held him out at an arm's length, hoping that the simple act would stave off at least the swiping.]
He's not very friendly, is he?
no subject
I...find him to be rather creepy, to. E honest. [it's those vacant eyes]
no subject
...Creepy. I can see that. [He frowned, thoughtfully.] Funny story there, too. I think he said something about really liking you before he started with the claws.
to BE honest. oops.
[she might have been holding onto the faintest sliver of hope that it was otherwise.]
Is there any chance you can get him to understand the concept of rejection?
[those blank doof eyes boring into you might make this difficult]
no subject
I'm not sure. He wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise before he started flailing and saying that he was the cutest guy from the Shrine.
no subject
From the unsurprised look on Michiru's face, she's heard that turn of phrase before.] I've even tried to lead him back there.
[sigh] Reality doesn't seem to be his strong point.
