[The music is lively and the taps are open and flowing freely at Teeter's. It's a fantastic place to unwind after a long day of running errands. Hawke's got a table to himself where he can watch the dancing and keep his puppy pack contained and out from underfoot, away from the other patrons.

If he sees a familiar face, he'll wave and extend an invitation to join him.

If he sees an unfamiliar face, he'll pretty much do exactly the same thing, because that's how he rolls.]

[Anders arrives a bit later than planned, but he's immediately making his way towards Hawke. He's even smiling, before sitting himself down next to him, absently reaching under the table to pet whichever puppy is closest.

Actually, there seems to be a puppy in his lap now. Oh well.]

[Eevee trills happily at the ear scratches, and fluffs up even more.]

I was reading about the different kinds of poison discovered, and the varied effects they can have.

[Merrill walks in carrying a small adorable mole Pokemon who seems quite content to cuddle into her chest. She seems to be walking a little more normally today, too.]

Hawke! Hello.

[He gestures to the chair across from him]

[Smiling at the snuggly mole in her arms now]

[Merrill gladly avails herself of the empty chair, sitting down gently so as not to disturb the Drilbur.]

I named her Cuddleclaws. Isn't she sweet?

She certainly seems to be. I take it she lives up to her name?

[That is one adorably snuggly mole, after all.]

[Michiru is a bit out of her element, but she'll take (most of) her cues from Hawke. This...was not what she had expected when you invited her to join you for a drink.

Her Togepi, however, seems very excited by all the lively activity!]

So do you come here often? [she might be quietly judging the musicians over there]

Fairly often. What do you think?

[He's spent enough time hanging out with her by now to know that she's pretty unimpressed by what she sees, but he never gets tired of her particular brand of diplomatic sass...which is why he even bothered asking in the first place.]

[she'll take a moment to catch her Togepi from walking right off the table and into the pack of puppies.]

I hardly know what to do with myself, when there's no imminent threat of political backstabbing.

[There's no safer pack of puppies for a Togepi to fall on top of, though! Each one is softer and fluffier than the last.

...Except the Houndoom, but Houndooms aren't really meant to be soft and fluffy at all. But he tries!]

Well, now's an excellent time to figure that out.

What do you want to drink?

[Oh hey didn't he see you that one time? He'll vaguely nod]

They got drinks, 's all I ask.

[Hey, yeah, you're that guy from that one time!]

Well, drinks are important. Food, too.

[By the way there's a curious Vulpix face now poking out from underneath the table where Hawke is seated. She's heard a familiar voice!]

[He may be gruff, but he does have a soft spot for pokemon. So he'll give a kind of deadpan wave]

[Oh, yay, she's been noticed! So happy. ;u;]

Vulpix!

[Sure seems like Scout's taken a shine to this guy. Might as well see if it's possible to coax a little more conversation out of him than last time.]

Why don't you join us for a few?

[A few minutes, a few drinks, whichever]

[Atsuro blinks confusedly at being called out, but then turns to Hawke properly and shrugs]

Kinda. I'm still not really used to this place...

Oh? Sit down and have a drink. That's as good a way as any to get started.

[He sits down next to Hawke, grinning a bit sheepishly]

Yeah, so I'm told. I still don't know which drinks are good, though.

[He grins right back, and passes over the drink menu.]

You can't go wrong with soft drinks. Fair warning, though - I've been told my taste is terrible, so I'm probably not the best person to advise you beyond that.

[... All Hawke gets in return from this girl is a very judging cold stare and a frown. She looks him over, as if she herself doesn't stand out in the Teeter's crowd, with her immaculately white clothes and almost military posture. She looks like she comes here to have the opposite of a good time.]

...I take it that's a "no".

[A small pause, before she finishes studying Hawke, seemingly disapprovingly.]

That would not have been my answer. Who are you?

[Well, that's a pleasant surprise.]

My name's Hawke.

[As he introduces himself a fluffy-faced Lillipup pops into view at the edge of the table, having climbed into Hawke's lap from underneath. He ignores her for the moment, though.]
