SPRING GALA!
Log Deputy: nor PM, church PM
Log Deputy Schedule: We're both on around 9PM-9AM EST usually if you need us right away.
Participating Characters: Anyone who wants to join!
Plot Description: Spring Gala at the Fabre's!
Every year, Judge Fabre throws a birthday party for Asch and Luke's mother Suzanne. Because she's a bit sickly, the party is thrown outside when the air is the freshest in the spring. Any and all nobles and those of high standing in the community are invited, but there are... ways for the common rabble to get in and have a good time as well. Namely, the part of the manor ground's fencing that was torn down during the earthquakes. That, or maybe the guards are having a good time too and wandered away for some ...action. Either way, everyone's eligible! There will be food and drinks (children, mind the wine,) cake, dancing and more! Don't forget the fireworks at midnight, it might be something romantic for you and your sweetie. Wear something nice and mingle!
Warnings/Notes: Nothing but fancy outfits and maybe a little alcohol around here.

Welcome to the Fabre's, please enjoy your stay.

Quickly and privately, the southern dinning hall is empty, I only have an hour till we're to dance with mother. [Not that he hasn't had proper dance lessons but it's also not something Asch considers "perfected".]

You've learned the basics, right? An hour should be enough to have you get the hang of it again.
[ Plus, it's sweet that he's doing it for his mother. If Hans cared about that sort of thing, anyway. He follows Asch to the other dining hall, where they can thankfully still hear the music from the main hall. ]
I suppose you'll want to lead?
no subject
That was when Asch was cuter, now he's just an asshole.]
The basic are all I remember, yeah, sorry for not considering dancing as one of my important life skills. [Judges don't dance.. at least, not under Asch's opposition because his father wasn't the best either..]
no subject
Unfortunately, I'll have to lead you first, so you can watch what I do.
[ The look he gives Asch is quite serious, but it's a mask, as usual, for the amusement he's so perfectly hidden underneath. He knows Asch will hate having to follow. His bratty cousin has never been one to do that. ]
Don't worry, we'll switch as soon as I think you're getting the hang of it.
no subject
Who doesn't honestly? His cousion has been very, very, good at pulling the ruse over many. Not just Luke and Asch, of course these two have proven easy targets of training over the years. You'd think this fiery red-head would have come onto his Hans's evil bullshit ways by now but, of course, he's far to conceded -- continuing to play the fool.]
Ughh... Whatever!
[Take the lead then, ASSHOLE]
no subject
Hans starts them off in a slow quarter-step, his hands at Asch's shoulders and side. Honestly, the hardest part is not looking smug while he does it. No, instead Hans looks completely calm, guiding Asch across the dance floor. ]
Take a look at my feet and pay attention to the music. I'm sure Aunt Suzanne is an excellent dancer, so really it's all about confidence.
no subject
Of course mother is, just shut up and teach. What is this dance called?
[Watching their footsteps, for once, trying to focus all that anger on his feet and movements other then Hans.] I wish I had remembered this.. it's not a worthless skill. [This is his own way of complimenting Hans on his dancing, don't expect "thank you"s but--]
no subject
[ Aw, Asch. You do care. Hans has no trouble leading even a stubborn dancer like Asch. After all, he's trained in stuff like this for most of his life. Some would say he even does this stuff for fun. ]
Listen to the beat, then move with it. Left, two, three. Right, two, three... Once you get it, the movements feel natural.
no subject
[Excuses, but eventually, if anyone can notice -- Asch is picking up the rhythm.]
no subject
[ Hans hums along to the tune, just coasting him along. It's kinda sweet that his cousin came to him for this. It must have been hard, knowing Asch. ]
You can count in your head. One, two, three... one, two, three...
no subject
A sigh] Okay, okay.. I know. [Closing his eyes, finding it was actually easier for him to count and step in tune when he didn't have to stare into Han's stupid face. "One, two, tree" could be made out carefully against his lips -- finally giving a passable performance!]
no subject
That's it! You're doing better already. Let's go for a bit more before switching to your lead.
[ Won't that be fun. ]
