[Okay. Normally Sync doesn't hold grudges--the guy didn't even offend him personally, yet. However, he knows the guy's brother, and watching his behavior on the network has been just. Grating, to put it mildly. Plus this is the perfect excuse to see how nicely his mimic skills have developed over the past few weeks. Analysts take note, this can be picked up by them as fake, but unnaturally good, as it will likely fool a great many since Luke fon Fabre hasn't been doing well with the 'common folk'.]

Tch. Listen, and don't go pestering me about it, but I--I needed to get something off my chest. It's been bugging me since I said it. More annoying ... [a beat]

[A few hours after his small prank, Sync is still snickering about it occasionally, but now he needs a job. He took a break from helping Banzu, but he'll either need to get back to it(which he will eventually because he still owes Banzu), or maybe go on an expedition to the Old City and dig for things to find. A perfect place to contemplate destiny is thankfully one of the many benches lining Union while he stares up into the sky aimlessly.]

You-! [Don't even try running away, Asch minding his own personal space as usual, taking the other boy by the collar and hoisting him put -- face to face.] It's not a mullet!

[They don't talk much anymore, in fact, Asch had to really think on this one. Who could have mimicked Luke like that? It's been years since Asch and Sync actually talked but word gets around those rich stuffy types. Overtime, he's heard a few things about what the green-haired boy's been up too, and one of them was his advancement as an Enlightened.

Of course, mimicry! That little asshole-! You can run but gossip will always catch up to you!!]

Hey--! [Apprehensive for a moment because, that sort of thing usually happens when someone hauls you up out of your seat, Sync is over it quickly when he realizes which twin has him.] Do you gel, or is it just natural then?

[Reaching up to grip Asch's wrist, Sync doesn't make any threatening moves yet, since Asch is an old friend, of sorts, but he isn't just going to let Asch move his hand away now, either.]

Your brother sucks, I thought you'd appreciate the bit of fun at his expense.

[Asch drops him but damn if he isn't ready to bolt after this asshole if Sync starts running. Consider it a gift, from a friend.] I..! It's gel. [FRUSTRATED BLUSH --GRRRHHH!] Looks nothing like a mullet... it's just my hair pushed back, that's it!

[Getting that first question out of the way.. Luke is the one that wears it normal. Without the aid of product Asch's looks exactly the same (minus those god ugly frosted tips..)]

Not when you're bad mouthing me along with it! [If not for that Asch would have found it highly interesting, but Sync isn't here for your entertainment, Asch, sweetie.]

Of course not. You really let him psyche you out on this, didn't you?

[Sync doesn't look completely convinced on Asch's answer, but hey, he'll go with it, but it's really surprising to see how perturbed he is at a little fun.]

I wasn't badmouthing you; I haven't done a human mimic before, so if I didn't at least use mullet no one would believe it's Luke. [He is aware that not many will this time anyway, but practice has to start somewhere.]

You wanna talk about something else?

If you call that mimicking, you gotta lot of to do -- barley convincing. [Okay, Asch, you feel for it right away but whatever.] -And I don't let him do anything to me, you try living with that and tell me he doesn't get on your nerves?

[Hump-! Asch finds himself slouching down on the other side of Sync's once occupied bench, fingers running through his long red hair.] Like what? I'm being forced to work as a Sword, Luke's still annoying, you're still slightly annoying, did I miss anything?

[Sync is eating up the redhead's annoyance; one simply can't pay for this sort of entertainment. ] I couldn't live with him.

[When he is released and joined on the bench, Sync relaxes a moment, nodding as Asch details that he hates everything. Since he apparently needs the practice, he sits up, looks at the redhead and mimics the motions off running his hands through his hair before retorting in Asch's voice.]

I have great hair! Better than that damn idiot. Who wears a stupid fringe like that?

DON'T MOCK ME!

[Now his cheeks even feel a little warm, embarrassed over his own mimicked actions maybe? Asch doesn't sound like that, ever, at all! His fists clench in anger, sucks when you can't do anything to spot it.

They're past interactions is the only thing holding Asch back, damn you're lucky (ahahha so edgy.)] You got a long way to go before that sounds anything like me!

[Sync would be pretty amused to be thought of as lucky in any way. Tensing at the redhead's first words, he then relaxes, letting his head fall back again.]

I'll work on it. [a beat] Do you do anything for fun these day?

[Probably not but he'll try to give you the benefit of the doubt.]

[Asch goes to open his mouth in almost protest but--] I.. We're watched like test subjects as always. My parents still hope for us to awaken.. [A sigh] So no, same old over protected life as usual.

[Boring garden parties and typical days full of learning par-usual.] -And what about you? You little run-away.

That's rough.

[It's sympathetic, but then again Asch has always had that tragic air about him that made people almost want to help. Almost, because of his personality. Looking at him again, Sync feels what little humor in the air drain away.]

Not much. I'm too poor for things you guys have money for, so I guess we're in the same boat. We should do something some time; that's free. [Maybe exploring. Even if Asch did offer to pay(which Sync didn't expect), he'd turn him down promptly. Part of why he's so poor is he's making his own way.]

That's your own fault. [Though, it's not said with spite, more so reminding him. Asch can sympathize with wanting to runaway at times.. the pressure of having such strict family ties. Mostly the competition between siblings and prenatal approval.

Sometimes you just want to runaway from it all.] -But perhaps we could do something sometime. I'm expecting it has to be something free. [Now that's said with a little spite.] What do we even do?

[Asch.. would love to get out despite his annoyed tone.]

[Making a face at the redhead, Sync hops to his feet, looking around. He finally looks back to Asch.]

Well exploring is free. Maybe we can find a haunt to hang out at during those few minutes when you aren't being watched. Or, better yet, I bet we can find a new place and some new Pokémon, all you have to do is say you're going on an expedition. I am a Delver, so.

Hah.. [A pause.] Best not leave so many details with my parents or their never let me leave. ["I'll be back" always worked much better.. it's Luke that gives them reason to distrust -- not so much Asch.]

You know, I'll take your offer. [Don't show to much interest now. Sadly, Asch looks far more excited then he'd like to let on.] What's your ideal place in mind?
