Day 2 - Double evolution; action

[Today, some people on the streets of Union might encounter a rather worried-looking boy (or a young man, depending on your point of view), running around, obviously searching for something or someone. He also seems to take great care not to bump into people or touch anything metallic - and if you look closer, his hair is practically standing on end (at least the hat helps hide that) and the air sparks and crackles around him sometimes. Uh, probably it's a good idea to keep some distance away from him.

And what he's looking for is--

Nyoom!

Some other (or even the same) people on the streets of Union might be startled by something suddenly whirring past them. It's vaguely white-ish in colour and oval in shape, and--and it's a Togetic, obviously enjoyed the newly acquired Flying type. It zooms around, not paying much attention to what or who it almost bumps into - you can actually hear a kind of high-pitched... giggling? For someone who evolves with the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP, it certainly doesn't seem concerned enough with its trainer to even come near him, if you exclude zooming past him to tease him]

Ack--Togepi, come back here! Er, should I even still call her-- Togetic, come back here! We need to at least check-- yes I can see you're okay, but still! Togetic!

[... Yeah, the poor guy is getting pretty exhasperated. Everyone is welcome to help him get his Pokemon under control, help his Pokemon get MORE out of control, or just watch and laugh.]

[... Oh, nope, too late. Welp. He gives a deep sigh and an eyeroll (but hey, at least his hair is... a little bit more normal now, his bangs aren't trying to defy gravity anymore, and that's an improvement).]

I'm not sure it's anything to be congrats'd on. My electricity's out of control, Togepi--Togetic is out of control, too, and I don't know when this will end. At least you didn't run the risk of paralysing your roommates.

[Ace is walking down the street when he notices (more like hears) something flying over his head and stares after it, surprised. He's going to walk away as if nothing happened when he notices Atsuro. He smiles when he notices a spark float around the guy's head]

what has you so worried looking?

Oh, hey Ace! Long time no see! How've you been?

[... aaaaand then gives a dramatic sigh.]

I think I'm... evolving. Or already have. I really can't tell--my body just keeps generating electricity randomly. And my Togepi chose this time to evolve, too - and she's really hyper about it, and won't even come down to let me check on her. I think she's too excited about flying... for a number of reasons.

not bad! I was out taking a stroll with the pokemon I got recently she's -- [nowhere to be seen] ah, around here somewhere

[He smiles]

I evolved not that long ago myself, and it wasn't so bad except I kinda went up in flames. I felt a lot stronger though, so maybe you'll feel some difference if you haven't evolved yet. [He thinks for a moment] Oh! That thing that's flying around is your pokemon? And maybe flying is just really fun!

Hey, I'd love to fly, too! But I'm just... worried, cause I know what she's like. And I'm more than sure she's so hyped at least partly because now she can--

[Something whirrs right past his ear. Atsuro shudders for a second, and then continues with a much more deadpan expression]

... Because now she can startle people like this. I even know who she's going to pick on.

[... and then he smiles again]

But hey, thanks for the support. I still can't really tell if I've evolved yet or no, cause it started in the middle of the night, can you believe that? So I was sleep deprived and giving off random shocks. It gets kinda hard to think or register things when you're like that.

[ Haruka has an Ice-type Pokémon now. You know what that means?

It means, while she's keeping it at the theater to assess what it's like, she's buying a lot of ice. Her hands are full and her Pidgeotto's at the Breeding Center, so she's brought her Murkrow shopping with her as a spotter.

Who happens to spot a blur heading his way, but not in time to avoid getting all turned around as it whizzes past. Feathers scatter everywhere. ] Krow! Krow!

[ And now he's angry. Haruka sighs. ] Don't chase--

[ Too late. Murkrow has to give that Togetic a piece of his mind! What do you think you're doing, causing trouble for people?! ]

[Alas, Togetic is way too immature to listen to other people (or Pokemon)'s opinions. She flies right past Murkrow again, high speed. Yeah well what do you think you're doing, being a loser and getting in her way?]

[And, sadly, her trainer was witness to all this. He looks miserable and almost ready to sag to his knees]

Togetic! Stop--don't pick fights with people!

Let them hash it out.

[ Now that it's come to this, Haruka is curious what will happen: her Murkrow started out as the worst kind of bully, so it's interesting to see him berating others' bad behavior. So she's standing there with her hands in her pockets, her pallet of ice on the ground next to her, looking serious but not concerned. As long as they don't involve any further passers-by.... ]

They'll finish up soon.

[ And sure enough, here comes Murkrow, dive-bombing Togetic to try and catch her. Want to make something of this, huh? Just you and him! Let's go! ] Krow! Murkrow!

[Atsuro is a little taken aback - he didn't expect this lady to take this so calmly... on the other hand, it helps him calm down somewhat, too. He gives a nod, a little confused]

Alright... Are you sure it's okay to let them fight, though? I mean, they could get hurt... A-and your Murkrow's a dark type, they're weak to fairy...

[Thankfully, though, Togetic doesn't seem too concerned with type advantages or disadvantages. She lets out a shriek that's both indignant and triumphant. YOU WANNA GO, PUNK? Bomb-diving her will work, but she's going to... yeah, headbutt Murkrow in return. She really doesn't have any manners.]

[The speedy white blur is certainly an attention-grabber, especially when it almost plows into Mari's Swoobat. But once Mari notices Atsuro running and looking so frazzled, that seems more important.]

Atsuro? Is everything alright?

Yeah Mari might've seen that expression on him before - he gets it sometimes when he really can't work through something and all his attempts are futile. He's looking pretty miserable, and almost ready to cry (mostly out of frustration than anything else, but)]

... It isn't. I think I'm evolving, and I can't really do anything, I keep getting-- [another shock runs through him, and he shivers and frowns] I keep getting these, I can't think straight, and Togepi evolved too, and I can't find her because she's too excited about flying now.

[Mari listens carefully, concern for his explanation and his obvious distress very clear on her face.] I see... then let's solve this one thing at a time.

[She wants to give him a reassuring pat on the head or something, but the shocks make that seem like a bad idea. Instead, she smiles and glances at her own flying companion.] For now, Swoobat could go find Togepi- or I suppose she's Togetic now- while we try to figure out what to do about your shocks. Would that be alright with you?
