Plot Description: Going deep down into the depths of the Old City to search for powerful Pokemon
Warnings/Notes: Possible violence?

[There have always been rumours floating around that tell of highly dangerous Pokemon lurking in the Old City, just waiting to ambush unsuspecting Delvers. Someone somewhere decided it was high time to investigate, which is why Jade finds himself down in his least favourite place in the world, along with a possibly-suicidal Ranger and his best friend, who didn't even happen to be a Ranger.

It's a rather annoying situation, to put it mildly.

It takes a lot of walking (and a few circuitous paths; Jade doesn't want them venturing anywhere near his old laboratories) before they finally venture deep enough into the Old City that they're in an area all but unexplored by people from the Union. Jade raises his lamp high, trying to take stock of their surroundings.]

I'm sure there's no need to tell the two of you to be cautious.

[The appearance of the Pokemon had caught him by surprise, but it takes him less than a second to recover.]

No. [Jade's voice is strong and firm, especially considering their current circumstances. His Ghost-enhanced spear materializes in his hand.]

Our objective is to search for powerful Pokemon. There's no sense in leaving as soon as we find one. Besides, it looks quite secure behind the bars.

[He's more concerned about who has put the bars there, to be honest. Someone able to subdue this Pokemon and trap it must be powerful indeed...]

I don't suppose either of you can communicate with it?

[Chester grits his teeth, squaring his shoulders before he nods.]

... Yes sir. And no sir, I don't have that ability. You should've asked Jaeger to come along.

The arrow strikes the creature straight in the head and shatters. It rattles at the bars, staring at the team, before turning and exiting out a door behind it, disappearing into the darkness of the mansion.

Jezz.. [Cress feels a little cowardly, but he'd been worried for his Pokemon. Teammates come first, no matter if the monster they charge up against is easy pickings or not. Making sure a team is comfortable is most important.]

Is everyone alright? Should we keep going you think?

Jaeger's still a little too new for this sort of mission, don't you think?

[Now that the creature is gone, Jade approaches the bars cautiously, trying to see through to the darkness beyond the door. It looks like it's still part of the mansion, but...

Did that mean the creature could circle around the rooms and reach them? What was it doing behind the bars anyway?]

We may as well continue. At the very least, I'd like to determine what type of Pokemon reside here.

[If there are even any aside from the one they've just seen. He has to admit, he's curious enough to keep going despite the very real danger.]

Of course, I won't force you two to continue, but right now, any report we give would be rather incomplete.

[Chester tries to relax, just resigning himself to this mission. If something happened and he died... well, maybe this was it. He didn't want Cress to get hurt though, that was unacceptable.]

I'll go on, Toryuu needs to help your Sandshrew identify those footsteps and vibrations anyway.
