Dancing Through Life [OPEN]
Who: Feliks, and whoever shows up. Mingle log, everyone's invited!
Where: The old Łukasiewicz manor
When: In the evening, on the day after spring's sudden onset.
Warning: Alcohol will be available? Otherwise, depends on the players--stick a warning in the subject line if anything gets out of hand.
The rumors and casual invitations started a long while ago, in the wake of Team Evolution's departure, but it took a while to nail down a date, and to shine up the rarely used public areas on the lower floor of the Łukasiewicz family estate, two floors on top of one of the towers towards the outskirts of the residential district. Paper invitations came several days ago, to damn near everyone with an address (though of course, the nobles' are on finer paper, hand-written by Feliks's grandparents and properly sealed.) Though everyone is invited, the general public has also been reminded to dress well and behave themselves presentably--it isn't every day you're invited into a noble house, is it?
Even for the nobles, honestly, it's rare to see this one. The heads of the family are aged, and while they often appear and are pleasant enough at everyone else's events, they have little energy for arranging their own in general.
They seem to have gone all out on this one, though, perhaps because the first ball of the spring demands it and perhaps because they're celebrating so many things at once. First there was Feliks's performance in the tournament, then his evolution, and of course they're still looking to find him a nice match. And spring, quite suddenly, is in the air, the weather pleasantly warm and the balcony gardens overflowing with blossoming flowers--a small legion of gardeners has been brought in to keep the plants under control, actually, given their overabundance lately.
The food and drinks are fantastic, varied, and plentiful, laid out at strategic points around the wide, gleaming dance floor. The best musicians from all over the city have been hired to encourage people to make use of it, and to keep the atmosphere nice and light.
So come on in--talk, dance, eat all the little berry pastry things, and welcome the spring!
[OOC: Will put up a couple of threads for different areas of the party to keep it organized, feel free to mingle and tag around with everyone!]

Laying his head down in the other boy's lap, he closed his eyes and felt the tension sink out of him again. "Mm. Like... Like, the dancing was way fun, though? And the clothes, and like, the food was way good."
He was just going to explode from embarrassment and run off into the wilderness forever if his grandparents threw one more well-meaning young lady who looked like she was smuggling a pair of Voltorbs under her dress at him tonight.

"I enjoyed the dancing too. And I've talked to some interesting people. Ah, and it was nice of your grandparents to let me come here, I think, since apparently you're not the only one who counts as a prime catch right now." He grimaced awkwardly and laughed, because while he didn't mind female attention quite as much as Feliks did, it was still rather strange to have people flirt with you because of who you were related to. He'd never realized how much of a shield against that sort of thing Lux had been. Poor Yuui.
"But we got through it, right?"
no subject
"Yeah, just barely. I wouldn't have come if they wouldn't let you, though, and that'd totally mess up their plans! It would've been way boring without you... Plus I needed someone to get some of their attention off me. Tactics, you know?"
He wasn't completely joking, but it was said lightly, and not completely true, either. Really, he just enjoyed being around Fai--he made everything more bearable, with his smiles and his warmth.

"Ah, I see. Well, I can imagine it wasn't that popular with them," not with Fai's family being so obscenely rich and ripe for the taking, "so I appreciate the blackmail. Even if it was partly just to turn me into a honeytrap for busty and enthusiastic young ladies."
He grinned and flicked Feliks' nose with a finger, and then extended a talon to paint a faint line along his nose. "Very sofisticated of you. I thought I was the tactician here."
no subject
"Are you saying I haven't always been a total genius mastermind?" he teased, reaching a slender arm up to ruffle the taller boy's feathers, then smooth them down soothingly. "Because come on, that's crazy talk. I always have the best ideas!
"Like telling my grandparents that making it 'the whole city's invited, except the Flourites' might make stuff kinda touchy. Totally brilliant, right?"
no subject
"And you're very right. If they had invited everyone except us, heads would most certainly have rolled. Or rather, very cutting remarks would have made, and rumors would have been spread. Which to a noble is a lot worse, I guess." He sighs, smiling. "I hope none of the young ladies got too forward, huh?"
no subject
The issue in his life was just that his grandparents didn't want to accept the hints he was flinging their way.
