Dancing Through Life [OPEN]
Who: Feliks, and whoever shows up. Mingle log, everyone's invited!
Where: The old Łukasiewicz manor
When: In the evening, on the day after spring's sudden onset.
Warning: Alcohol will be available? Otherwise, depends on the players--stick a warning in the subject line if anything gets out of hand.
The rumors and casual invitations started a long while ago, in the wake of Team Evolution's departure, but it took a while to nail down a date, and to shine up the rarely used public areas on the lower floor of the Łukasiewicz family estate, two floors on top of one of the towers towards the outskirts of the residential district. Paper invitations came several days ago, to damn near everyone with an address (though of course, the nobles' are on finer paper, hand-written by Feliks's grandparents and properly sealed.) Though everyone is invited, the general public has also been reminded to dress well and behave themselves presentably--it isn't every day you're invited into a noble house, is it?
Even for the nobles, honestly, it's rare to see this one. The heads of the family are aged, and while they often appear and are pleasant enough at everyone else's events, they have little energy for arranging their own in general.
They seem to have gone all out on this one, though, perhaps because the first ball of the spring demands it and perhaps because they're celebrating so many things at once. First there was Feliks's performance in the tournament, then his evolution, and of course they're still looking to find him a nice match. And spring, quite suddenly, is in the air, the weather pleasantly warm and the balcony gardens overflowing with blossoming flowers--a small legion of gardeners has been brought in to keep the plants under control, actually, given their overabundance lately.
The food and drinks are fantastic, varied, and plentiful, laid out at strategic points around the wide, gleaming dance floor. The best musicians from all over the city have been hired to encourage people to make use of it, and to keep the atmosphere nice and light.
So come on in--talk, dance, eat all the little berry pastry things, and welcome the spring!
[OOC: Will put up a couple of threads for different areas of the party to keep it organized, feel free to mingle and tag around with everyone!]

[...that might be kind of funny to watch.]

[ You are the only person that might be able to get her to behave. Maybe. For one rehearsal. (She doesn't even consider herself as acting up, though, is the problem....)
Now she's also leaning against the railing. By this point the sun is probably just about set and they're illuminated by candles and starlight. ]
no subject
Mm. She's just going to lean in a bit and surreptitiously cuddle.]
How magnanimous of you.
no subject
Surreptitious cuddle is indeed a go. ]
no subject
...Probably because of the complete and utter digression from the rather cliched script.]

Unfortunately, now that she's reminiscing, she's leaving things at that. While embracing Michiru. It's not intentional. ]
no subject
You certainly sound rather fond.

How about now?
no subject
Hmm. I don't know... [convince her]
no subject
I just might have to dance with you, then.
[ You'll get your final "proof" once they're fully alone.
Or if you ask very nicely.]no subject
I think you're supposed to ask first.

[ Her other hand moves to the small of your back. They're now either ready to start dancing out here or for her to lead Michiru back into the party, whichever. ] Shall we?
no subject
And no, she's happy out here, judging by how she turns to face you and puts a hand on your shoulder. The music can be heard clearly and there's no need to deal with other people.]
no subject
Haruka draws Michiru close to her chest. A waltz has just begun, nice and slow. Perfect for a quiet evening with just the two of them. ]
no subject
Dancing with you is effortless, really. Well, most things are pretty effortless but this is even more so. ]
no subject
There's lots of stars out tonight.
[ Haruka you're looking at Michiru, not the stars. ]
no subject
Are they? I haven't noticed. [a quiet murmur. And a smile. It's either because she's distracted or somebody tall is blocking her view of the sky.]

[ She starts swaying a little more than is technically appropriate for a waltz, the hand on Michiru's back stroking it gently. This is their private dance, right? They can get into it a bit. ]
