Who: Ky, Garen, and Lux
Where: The Crownguard House
When: Just before springtime
Warning: family things
Ky arrived home with his pokemon, being aware that something has happened - it wasn't until one of the maids rushed up to him, excitedly gushing about how Garen came back that he realized what happened.
On one hand, he is excited to see his cousin again, but on the other hand - he's not sure how Garen responded to recent events that took place while he was gone. So he does what he usually do when he needs to think - make tea. Thankfully Uncle Aldert was called out to a meeting so it's one less thing to worry about.
Once the bluk berry tea is finished, he set up a table, with cups set out for both his cousins and waited for his cousins to arrive - letting out a slow sigh as Isaac jumps up, curled into his lap like a meowth.

Still, did the maid have to pull her corset so tight? Given that it was the one that usually helped with her dressing, she likely had some pent up aggression to let out, Lux's ribs be damned.
Dressed in blue and gold, Camille at her side, feeling a bit more in her element with a rather smart hat on, Lux quietly seated herself at the table, looking just a bit uncomfortable.
Please let this be over with quickly.

Hence he arrived last, the only fancy garment being his waistcoat. Everything else was a drab (and quickly made) black and white and he did not wear a jacket for this. His Honedge, Eckhard, floated behind him, a silent guardian. Taking his seat, he took a deep breath, still sour over his and Lux's disagreement; he couldn't think to call it anything else.
Looking down at the tea before him, he noted that Ky had brought some of his prized tea cups from his collection down for them to drink from. Unless Ky had greatly changed as well, he knew this to be a serious move from his cousin, and felt moved himself. Of course it did little to improve his mood given he was looking at the source of said mood.
He cleared his throat.
"Both of you seem well today. As do your Pokémon."

So they ran into each other first, and likely had a disagreement. "Thank you Garen," He bit his tongue about why he hadn't checked in with the swords first, it wasn't his place to question the man about protocol and this really wasn't the time for it.
"Uncle Aldert went to a meeting, I expect he won't be back for a few hours so it's just us and the servants." He explained as he sat up again, holding his cup delicately. "It's really been a long time since the three of us have been in one place." The young man started.

Still, none of this was Ky's fault and, true to form, the other blond was doing his best to try to defuse the terse situation as best as he could. In fact, at the mention of her father's previous engagements, she seemed to ease a bit. "I see," She said, attempting to keep an unbiased tone; inwardly, she had cause to celebrate.
Her thumb continued to run over the edge of her cup. "It really has." She wasn't the reason they were gathering, however so, deftly, she passed the baton to continue conversation off to her older brother.

Likewise though, Garen relaxed even if he showed no sign physically at the mention of their father having a prior engagement. The last thing he wanted was to have sit and endure the moral dilemma of not saying anything for Lux if he came in and went on again about her choices and how detrimental they were for the family. Staring blankly ahead for some handful of seconds while he attempted to think on what to talk about, what he was allowed to talk about, he finally looked down at his tea, raising the cup and sipping from it quietly.
"I...can't remember the last time." It had either been so long or so terrible it escaped his mind. "I am glad to do it again. Hopefully we can do this more often." There was a lot on his mind, and it reflected in his tone as he was trying to stay there with them at the table, but he was thinking on how sour things had gone with his conversation with his sister, how Ky might be miffed, or at least hurt he still hasn't checked in with the Swords, his new burdened expected from him from the family.
