[Dylas can be seen wandering all over the city, ducking into shops and other places of businesses, asking about where he can find work at because he really doesn't want to be a useless bum]

[The first thing that comes into the screen is a Magikarp in a large fish bowl, then it awkwardly pans to Dylas' face]

So I just caught this - what am I suppose to do with this thing anyways?

Do you have a second Pokémon? If you do, you can switch it in so Magikarp still gets some experience. Or do Double Battles with them.

[He shakes his head]

Definitely. Magikarp are useless on their own, but they evolve into something way stronger. It'll be worth it, I know.

Well, some people might find that Magikarp has an intrinsic decorative appeal.

They tend to be pretty useless at that stage when it comes to fighting, but fighting isn't all there is to evolving.

Fry it in butter?

Yeah, all they do is splash for a while.

They are also natural jumpers, so you might want to find a lid, if you're going to keep it in that bowl.

Any fish can be a frying fish if you're hungry enough.

He sends his Magikarp out to train, but lets his Honedge do most of the work. It's really tedious to watch. I like faster Pokemon myself...

Okay, wait, I've totally got it! You like, teach it to make super funny faces, right? Then when wild Pokémon are all staring at it, like "oh my gods what gives, are you even serious right now"?

You run up and punch them while they're distracted, bam!

I usually just eat 'em. They're gross and have tons of bones, but with the right seasoning, they'll do.

I'd think I'd stick with fish that actually taste good.

[Dylas just stares Feliks for a moment, ear tips twitching before a muffled snicker slips out and he smirks in response]

If you have other Pokémon, double battling can work if you want to try the old way, just have your other Pokémon pick up the slack. Your Magikarp won't be of much use in the battle, but it still gains fighting experience that way.

I think I wouldn't be able to throw it back either, though it seems kinda..... cute somehow

Then let it go? I don't get all these people catching magikarps and keeping them, and then complaining about them when they're boring and weak.
