Regardless, Maya seems stupidly excited, and from her lap she produces a baby eevee, stubby baby legs and all. It whines a little, wiggling, before wagging its tail.]
Look at this little guy! Isn't he cute? He hatched Sunday.
[Two small shuppets slip to peer over her shoulders. Jealous? Never. Shh.
Maya pats both of their heads before turning back to the camera.]
Iiii just don't have a name for 'im yet. And I suuuper don't know what I'll have him evolve to, since there's no ghost type for 'im. [SIGH.]
Ah, well. Anyway-- What's up with all of you guys?
[She reaches forward to end the transmission before Shi pops up behind her, tugging on her hair to stop her.]
--Oh! Right! Um, I'm still-- we can still schedule channellings if anyone's interested! Y'know. Ghost stuff? All that jazz? Right. SO. Talk to me!

I guess you're right. I'll just have to work hard at being the best healer I can, then.

[Lucas backs away from Maya a little bit and glances back at the trailing, easily distracted Drifter.]
Miss Maya wants to see what we practiced. Do you want to show her?
[Drifter will blink for a moment or two before shrugging.]
...I think that means 'yes'.

[Lucas takes a few steps back himself before raising up a hand.]
Hit me with Gust!
[Drifter obediently floats up into the air a bit before spinning around to send a small twister rapidly spiraling towards Lucas. Right before it strikes...]
Shhhhnck!
[A strange, metallic noise sounds out a brilliant emerald light spirals quickly up and down Lucas's body - the whirlwind itself immediately fizzles out, and though Lucas is still rocked back a little bit, it's clear that he's not particularly harmed.]

[That was actually pretty impressive! And way out of Maya's element. That was... grass? Wind? She can't tell.]
What was that?! I've never seen that before!

I can stop damage from a lot of special attacks that might not be blockable like... gusts of wind and fire and things like that. I worked hard to try to make something that could work a little like Light Screen.
