[Action] Let's Talk to Pokémon!
[Backdated to the 11th.]
[Cecilia talked to Apollo and Lucas about the same thing: needing to talk to Pokémon to find out if they had seen any iron lately. It seems like a good idea to her, though it came from Apollo. But she can do that -- at least with ones that talk. And thus, here she waits, near the indicated place.]
[A huge, ancient oak stands up behind her, and sits on the crest of a hill. It makes it stand out. It's hard to miss. Being short, Cecilia is just dwarfed by it.]
[But, worst of all... she doesn't know Lucas's name.]

Then we'll let them leave.
[His voice sounds a bit off, like novocain is almost done wearing off. Also don't mind him. He'll just lie on the ground for a bit until the paralysis wears off.]
no subject
They must have been desperate...
[He would say that they should see if they can't help the pride leader, but he was quite sure Luxio would rather have its throat slit than lead them back to its pride.]
...I think this one needs some help to walk.
[The injured Shinx will be tended to first so the three Pokemon can abscond. There is a faint glow as he closes its surface wounds and taps it lightly on the forehead to lift some of its exhaustion. He'll turn to Apollo next.
As he works, the Luxio will slowly back up a few steps. It growls - then turns and leaps off into the brush. The two Shinx are a bit more polite and thank Cecilia before following their leader.
Lucas breathes a slight sigh of relief.]
I hope they'll be OK.
...If we do hear about any Shinx attacks on humans, though... We'll have to track them down.
no subject
[Cecilia nods at the Luxio and Shinx, as they leave. The latter get a slight bow, even; she takes a deep breath, before she turns her head and looks at Lucas. She nods.]
We will. But... we must simply hope they do not. We'll have to trust them.
[Raftina crawls up next to her, nudging up against Cecilia's foot, and watches them leave.]
no subject
They meant it when they said it. We can trust them.

[The removal of the paralysis will come as a warm wave of energy, like being washed clean. Lucas's face is growing a little pale now as he steps away from Apollo.]
Miss Cecilia, do you want me to take a look at your hand? I think bites like that can get infected pretty easily.
no subject
[She frowns at that, then she looks at Lucas. She nods.]
I'd appreciate that, Lucas.
no subject
[Apollo visibly relaxes when Lucas removes the paralysis, and is about to thank him when he notices Lucas's face.]
How tiring is it for you to heal, Lucas?
[He knows that it's pretty tiring to heal wounds on Pokémon from his own experiences. Does Lucas also being able to heal humans make him tire faster or slower? It wouldn't be good for him to pass out from exhaustion in the wilderness.]
no subject
[He smiles a bit wanly.]
Don't worry about me. I'll let you know when I feel like I can't handle any more - I've definitely done more than this when things have gotten bad in the Medical Center.
Thanks, though.
[In other words, it could be pretty tiring. Especially as working in the Medical Center didn't include fighting wild Pokemon and trekking through the forest. Still, Lucas will seem steady enough as he goes to Cecilia to examine her hand.]
It looks like it bit pretty deep... I'm going to close up the outside - like stitches. But the inside will still need to heal, so you'll need to let it rest a little, OK?
no subject
Thank you for this. I know--ah, well, it's your job. But I'm glad we have you here!
[Raftina gets a serious look on her face and nods her head at that, in sharp agreement.]

Aha... You were both really great just now - with your Enlightened powers, Miss Cecilia, and Apollo's... everything. I have to do my part, too.
[Now that they weren't in the thick of battle, he takes a little bit more care in his work. His finger briefly traces the outline of Cecilia's wound, and as before, his body begins to pulse with a faint bluish light. It quickly coalesces in his fingertips before gently pouring forth, seeping into the wound. His eyes close briefly in concentration - and as Cecilia watches, the skin will pull together, blood clotting and cells dividing.
He lifts his hands away when he's done with his work.]
...O-OK. I think that should hold. It might be a little itchy, but... try not to scratch.
no subject
I won't. Thank you, Lucas.
[She looks off at Apollo, watching him pull his boots on.] Are you okay, Apollo?
no subject
Yeah, thanks to Lucas. You did something to protect me too, didn't you Cecelia? I don't know how long I could've held on without that.
[He straightens.]
Are you two okay to start moving again?
no subject
[Lucas smiles faintly, steps away from Cecilia, and picks up Avey as well as the giant pack he had ditched on the ground when the fight had began.]
I think the canyons can't be too far if the Shinx came from there. Let's go!
no subject
I am. Let's go. Come on, Raftina.
[Cecilia starts moving; she tucks her hand into her robe to try to ignore the itch building up there. Her Eevee trudges after her, looking around alertly.]
I heard they look amazing!
no subject
You're right, they probably aren't far.
Grandpa told me that they're a pretty nice-looking place. I guess we'll see when we get there.
no subject
I met a Flying-type Shifter the other day in Union. Maybe if he ever learns to fly, we'll find out what's past there.
((Do you guys want to keep going or should we stop here? I'm good with either!))
no subject
[She shakes her head, before she looks at Apollo. She flashes him a quick smile.]
It must be. It's almost the end of the world--like Lucas said, no one's ever crossed it. That... we know of, at least.
((I can go either way, too! No strong preferences here.))
no subject
[He looks at the Fletchling on his shoulder.]
Maybe we can try when Fletchling is big enough to carry me.
((For the sake of not being the third person who's good with either, I'll vote to stop here. If anyone does want to continue, we could always start a new thread of looking around the canyon itself. And probably finding nothing because the canyon is likely not the right kind of rock to find iron in.))
no subject
I'd say we should try to make a bridge, but...
I guess Union engineers probably don't really have much experience with bridges.
[And up ahead, the trees begin to thin! The canyon is near!]
no subject
Definitely not on that scale... ah, there it si!
[And indeed, there it is! Cecilia points at the canyon, staring at it and smiling when she gets a good look.]
