[004 - Action]

[ember_celica]

[Yang is in a park in the business district, leaning against the wall of one of the towers. While she does, she's idly tossing a ball up into the air, doing some impromptu juggling. While she does, though, a baby Mankey is crawling around.]

Awright, Punchy!

[She cheers at him. He barely walks, before he stumbles over onto his face.]

You can do it! Learn to walk! Go go go! C'mon!

[And the Mankey... stumbles over. Again. Yang's grin turns sheepish.]

...'kay, so I guess cheering you isn't magically teaching you to walk well all the time. Good to know!

[Her giggles subside, still with a smile on her face.]

By the way, do you know anybody who has an eevee who might be - willing to breed one for somebody? I don't know if I could pay or... give something, maybe help teach one or two of their pokémon a handy move...?

[ember_celica]

Hey, I can do that for you! You could breed one of yours, or teach one of mine a move, or... you know, anything! I'm easy!

[globetrotting]

Really? [Oh, that would be...!] What pokémon do you have? If I could just spend some time with one, learn a little about them...

[A small pause.] Maybe we can meet up sometime with our pokémon? I'm going to be busy for a while, but if I meet your pokémon, I could see what I could teach them. [Orrr some other arrangement could be made.]

[ember_celica]

A whole bunch. Let's do it! I can bring mine, you bring yours, we figure out the details.

[globetrotting]

Okay! Can I take your information on my warp band? [Magical detail sharing on warp bands, which Blue holds out her band to show.] Then I'll contact you, and we can arrange a time we're both not too busy.

[ember_celica]

Oh yeah, for sure. Here, let's see--

[She taps her warp band a few times, then she holds it out for Blue in turn.]

[globetrotting]

[And a magical warp band person adding thingy majiggy happens. How awesome.]

Done! [She takes a look at her band, then puts her arm down beside her.] Thank you, Yang.

[She looks at the mankey, sighing (happily).] He's going to keep getting cuter, isn't he?

[ugghh pokémon are so cute.....!!!]

Well. I guess we might be rushing things a bit, but it can't hurt to learn earlier, right?

If you give him the treat as a reward, maybe he'll follow it even better next time.

Hey, anytime, Blue!

[She nods her head, cheerfully, and looks down at Punchy. She nods in agreement with the other girl's assessment.]

He sure is. It's not fair to the rest of us.

[ember_celica]

Oh, man, that's a great idea! He likes candy, but... I think I gotta give him something else, you know?

[globetrotting]

[She stays still for a moment, looking at the mankey with a smile on her face, before she finally nods to Yang and takes a step towards the direction she had originally been going.]

It was nice meeting you. [A look to the mankey.] You and Punchy.

[ember_celica]

[Yang grins at Blue, then she waves her hand at her.]

Yeah! You too, Blue! Take it easy!

...The big Pokemon store in the Business District sells a lot of things for young Pokemon. I spent a lot of time there when Piyo first hatched.

Hey, I bet I could get a buncha stuff for my crew there! And I'm gonna have a baby Pikachu soon, too, you know?

[She grins brightly at that.]

So I'll need extra treats and toys too.

[a_gentle_boy]

A baby Pikachu? Those are the rare electric types out in the woods, right...?

How do you know what's in the egg already? Is there a way to tell?

[celebrity_commentator]

[Chiyome wanders over toward Yang and Punchy, sniffing the air.]

Ni! [subtitles: You don't have to hide; this human's harmless.]

I think you got a shy one, Yang. Somehow that never happens with mine...

[ember_celica]

Well... no, but me and a friend traded eggs our Pokémon had, and I have a good feeling!

[ember_celica]

[Yang laughs at that, then she nods at Rise.] I know, right? It usually doesn't with mine. Gotta be one, I guess.

[She looks down at Chiyomi. Punchy looks at her, then up at Rise, and nods; he ambles out from behind his trainer's legs.]

Oh, I see. ...I've never thought about doing that before! It would be like... trading Pokemon you don't want to actually give away. And you'd always think of your friend when you saw the baby, too.

[ember_celica]

Exactly! It's the sadness free option!

[a_gentle_boy]

That's really cool! Maybe I should try it, too...

[Lucas glances at Togepi meaningfully, who blinks back with her innocent baby Pokemon eyes.]

Er.

Probably with someone else.

...Actually, they're OK with it, right? It feels a little weird to tell my Pokemon to go... make eggs.

[celebrity_commentator]

[Chiyome walks forward and sniffs curiously at Punchy, having about as much sense of personal space as her trainer.]

Think we should let them play together? As far as I know that's how Pokémon usually learn stuff.

[ember_celica]

[For once, Yang looks a little serious.]

I thought about that. I think they are. They didn't seem to mind, and... I think it's how they're just kinda different than us, in some ways.

Different values, you know?

[ember_celica]

Hey, it can't hurt, right?

[She nods, then looks down at Punchy. He walks right up to Chiyome, inspecting her; he sniffs a couple of times, too.]
