Fascinating. I've known this was possible but until now Flux's Psychic tenacity was not at a level high enough for telepathic communication.

[Laurent is sitting with his books on screen as usual, but it seems he's deemed this moment fantastic enough to document for future reference. He's writing in his journal, but his Solosis is sitting on the desk in front of him looking ... a bit pained in concentration. If observed closely, Laurent's own expression is quirked in the same fashion.]

I'm unsure if the phenomenon is singular to my own Pokemon companions, all Psychic Pokemon, or any number of groups, but Solosis's thoughts become my own if concentrated on. Of course, he lacks the level of comprehension as of yet to understand why... But it is my belief that all Psychic types and Psychic inclined Enlighteneds can obtain this ability. My mother's own research is proof enough. It's still arduous to grasp his feelings in this way, however. I am still unsure as what it is he wants, as his thoughts are subject to change so quickly... Truly, his nature proceeds him. Quiet, yet finicky.

[He stops writing a moment, placing his hand against his forehead and thinking on it hard. Then, he looks a little... disappointed.]

... I already fed you all today. Just because you can tell me directly now doesn't mean you get a second helping...

[Armin blinks a couple times, then shrugs.] I don't think we've ever really tried. I've always understood what she wants or needs. Words kind of get in the way, I suppose.

I suppose that's another way of thinking of it... your abilities are more inclined to feeling than thought, after all.

[He strokes his chin, then leans it on his hand.]

I doubt my other Pokemon would be able to do this... I don't have any other Psychic types to test it on.

Precisely. It makes some of the details hard to understand, but I've found on the whole those matter less than the spirit of the conversation.

[Armin frowns, reaching down to scoop up a rather sleepy/cranky Meredith.] You...could always try it with Famke or Meredith? I'm sure they wouldn't mind.

I know Meredith isn't one for conversation... but if Famke would like to try I'd appreciate the assistance.

Well, I can sort of talk to people and Pokémon in their heads, anyway, or sense when they're around. I don't know about their thoughts becoming my own, though.

Oh? You must mean a form of telepathy... That's what I meant, that I can hear his thoughts... however simple they may be.

Basically, I can talk to people in my head, and they can talk back. They have to sort of be thinking at me, though, so it's not like Himiko who can just pick up feelings from anywhere.

Well, let's see...

Everyone thinks by saying things in their head, right? I mean, I hope that's not just me. Anyway, if I think about another person who's close by, or just think about close-by people in general, I can get them to hear what I'm saying in my head. If I keep concentrating, I can also hear what they think back, if that makes any sense.

... It likely varies on the type. Just as people vary, their abilities vary...

[ Just sort of peering at the Solosis through the video - there's a Floette on his shoulder doing the same. ]

As for food, it could be a side effect of using abilities. I generally find myself hungry sooner after using mine more.

Yes... though my hypothesis is whether or not it's only Psychic types. After all, there are Pokemon who have Psychic typing as well as another, or even Psychic as a secondary typing. The ability may stretch across a lot of different species.

[He pets Solosis's head idly. Flux looks happily up at Duke and Floette on the screen. Hello! They might hear ringing in their heads.]

It's true... but then I'd end up giving my other Pokemon a second helping as well.

[Duke blinks, a little startled. Flux won't hear anything back from him, although he looks like he tried for a moment, while the Floette makes giggling-like noises and waves back. ]

Understandable. I was attempting to point out that not all Psychic types develop into the 'can speak into the minds of others' category. I am rather terrible at it.

[ On the other hand, he can move things that weigh as much as he does without touching them. Its a good trade off in his mind. ]

Equal treatment. Also understandable. You can spend time training with the rest, and thus justify the second amount of food for them all.

[Telepathy...? Jade has attempted it before, along with empathy and all those other powers that seem common to Psychic types, but to no avail.]

I hope you won't mind directing me to your mother's research.

Mother's...? It's only preliminary things... when I was a child she had tests done on me, and studied my progress for a while. I haven't shown any other Psychi abilities until now, though, so it's very limited. Her theories and thesis can be found in the libraries though. The public ones, at least...

Tests? [Human experimentation, on a child...? But hes sure he's only jumping to conclusions. It should be much more innocuous than it seems; the man wouldn't be talking about it in the open if it's something illegal, after all.]
