[After visiting the council and seeking permission to stay in Union City, Renko was more than pleased with their answer. They'd even given her one of those Warp Band devices she'd seen most people around the city wear. Needless to say, she looks thrilled once she gets it all figured out and starts recording.]

Hey, this thing isn't as hard to figure out as I thought it would be! That's great!

So it's pretty obvious that I'm not from around here. That aside, my name's Renko Usami, and I've decided to stay here! It's quite a bit different than what I'm used to in most ways.

[She pauses for a moment, debating what to say next, all the while counting the seconds away in her head. She needed to make a good impression on these people. She hoped she was doing a good job.]

I'd really like to learn more about all of you. Your stories, culture, technology, any of it, really. Is there a library I can check out? Other than that, any advice at all would be appreciated, especially with exploring some of the areas outside the city. It didn't seem so bad on the way here, but I was in a group then. I'm guessing going solo would be a very different experience.

Anyway, that's it for now. Thank you for allowing me to stay in your city.

You can also send distress signals with them if you get in trouble. You'll want to take good care of it.

Wonderful! I'll definitely take great care of it. With all of these nifty functions, they can't be easy to manufacture.

[She nods. Then, after a second-]

Do you think you'll be able to remember your way here, by the way? We can go the way we came, or we can go another way out so you know two routes... the paths are really connected, so as long as you know when to turn on it, you shouldn't have any trouble.

[Imagining the business district like a curved road off of the outer/main road. like a place you pull over on highways. idk let's just go with it.]

And if you do get lost, I'm sure somebody will help you if you asked.

I should be able to with relative ease. I jotted down all the important locations and landmarks I've seen, so navigating shouldn't be all that difficult.

[Renko smiles. Well, hopefully people would help her. There are still those who give her the evil eye.]

I'm sure they would.

[There's got to be some people as dumb and nice as Blue!!]

Great. Alright, let's head to the library.

[She makes a motion to her squirtle and, nodding her head forward while looking at Renko, begins to walk in the direction of their destination.]

Hm, have we talked about what we said we would before we started...? [She looks at Renko.] Do you have any questions still?

[nighttimegps]

Alright then, let's go.

[Thankfully, Renko doesn't have to direct her own Pokémon at the moment.]

I don't believe so. I don't have any further questions right now, but if I happen to think of any, I'll be sure to let you know.

[globetrotting]

Sure. Now that you have my info on there you can contact me any time.

[She hums for a moment.] I know I wanted to ask you things, but I don't know how to put any of it into words... I guess I feel a little like you do, but not actually in the far and unknown place -but wanting to learn about everything around it, the pokémon and the sights and the people...

There really are a lot of differences, but there's just as much that's the same! Most of the differences are just advancements in technology.

People are still the same, although your community seems to be a lot closer together than our own. If there's anything specific, I can try my best to answer, but like you said, we have each other's contact info, so if you think of it later, I can always answer you then, too.

[globetrotting]

I guess- the kinds of pokémon? But, you probably don't even know about all the pokémon we have yet, so it's a hard question to answer, huh...

[nighttimegps]

Yes, I would be able to answer that more accurately after I've seen more of the wild Pokémon in this region.

[globetrotting]

Well, that's fine! I can be patient.

[nighttimegps]

Great! Once I know more about the local population, I'll have an answer for you.

[globetrotting]

Perfect. [Blue chuckles a bit, and has a smile on her face as they walk.]

If you go looking around the woods, there are some pathways already you can follow and rocks that have been piled in places for landmarks. It's not too hard to navigate, really, even if you go off the path. I'll point them out when we go.

That sounds very helpful. Has anyone mapped out the paths at all?

[If not, Renko very well might. It would prove insanely useful, she thinks.]

Sounds like it'll be fun.

[globetrotting]

I have a sketchy map that I made when I first started going out there, but I don't know about publicly.

But maps for everybody could be fun! Do you think you could do it?

[From the time with Renko, she's guessing already she'll be ready to take on the task.]

I'd be willing to give it a try!

[Her sketches are pretty good, so drawing a map can't be all that difficult. It would be time consuming, though.]

I'll have to find some blank charts and see what I can do.

[globetrotting]

Hmm, it sounds like you want to try a bit of everything... Maybe when you have an idea of some projects you'd really like to try out, you could contact the network again and see who would be interested to help out?

Some people might be trying to do them already. Or, it must be easier to do with more people working on them. Especially map-making. [She guesses, anyway.]

Is there a reason I shouldn't give everything a try?

I suppose you do have a point about it being easier with more people involved, though. You just have to find the right number to make it work. Too few, and it will take forever. Too many, and ideas will start clashing.

[globetrotting]

I don't think it's bad that you want to do so much! And people work in different ways. But if there's already somebody doing it, you could put your heads together.

At least with map making, there shouldn't be too much clashing. Though, unless somebody wants to do more than the other person thinks is necessary...

[nighttimegps]

Yeah, I'll have to ask around and see if anyone else has attempted this.

[Renko shrugs.] It happens.

[globetrotting]

Mm. [A sound of agreement, to what Renko last said. Soon enough after, Blue points.]

Do you see that building? Just straight ahead, up there. That's the library.

[Still a walk between them and it, but at least it's in their sights.]

[Renko looks very pleased when Blue points out the library. Out of all the places she'd seen thus far, she knew the library would be the most important. It would hold much information that she could use.]

[Yeah, she's gonna jot down a few more notes about its exact location.]

Have you spent much time there?

[globetrotting]

I have! I don't know how much, but I have. [...] I like going outside and learning that way more, but I know how useful a book or five can be at times.

[nighttimegps]

Both reading and hands-on experience are great ways to learn. I don't particularly prefer one over the other, but I've yet to read up on this city's history.
