[Simon stares down the camera in his usual intimidating fashion, Taka the Taillow on his right shoulder and Tsurugi the Honedge floating to his left.]

It has been a long while since I have been able to freely draw my blade... and now that I can, I find I lack direction. While I feel that it might be best to find a forest clearing to train in at first, I am wondering where the rest of you trained when you first started out. It seems that the Old City and the Scorched Forest might be viable alternatives to simply training directly outside of Union, but I would like some confirmation.

Furthermore, what Pokemon would you recommend I bond with? As you can see, I have a Honedge and a Taillow on my side. [He gives Take a few scritches under his beak.] I would feel a bit more comfortable with traveling if I had a few more partners to work with. While I do trust that my blade is sturdy... it might still be a bit rusty.

Indeed. I just need to flick my finger, and there's a slash. I'm able to cut feathers with it.

[She looks impressed.]

That sounds similar to how Ogami and I fight, except both of us need a sword to channel through.

Ogami... would that happen to be Ichiro Ogami?

That's right. Do you know him?

Indeed I do. We trained together when we were younger. It has been a while since I've seen him in person, however.

I see! The two of us train together as well. I would be interested to see how similarly the two of you fight, given your pasts together. Do you also use two swords?

No, I only use one. But more isn't always better, even in terms of swords.

True, but I think the way that he fights is interesting. It's very different from what I've seen before, but at the same time extremely straight-forward.

Yes, that sounds like him. I remember being caught a bit off guard by his use of two swords when I first started training with him.
